I'd love to know the kids' ages. I've got a feeling they all recognize the blessing of being part of a big blended family, especially after losing a parent. Ironically, my great-grandparents were a widow (with eight kids) and a widower (with ten kids) who married and blended their families. Together they had one more child. Number 19 was a girl, and she was my grandmother. My dad was the youngest of 11, my mom number 7 of 8, and I'm the baby of 8. We're all blessed to have such large families.
I am much older than you but my husband died in his 50's from early-onset dementia. I was 54. My partner's wife died of breast cancer a year later and we met the following year. We have had a beautiful relationship for 9 years. It is not easy when you have had a life long marriage but there is beauty in a new relationship. There is hope for all of us!
God took home my Ronald 3.5 years ago. We raised 3 boys & were married 53.5 years on Dec, 19, 2020. I am much older than you. I'm 77 &. Live a limited existence. Health wise Ron thought he would be the last to go but during COVID in rehab his organs shut down & he was gone. God is still an awesome God I I don't know why I'm here because there is very little I can do each day. Your story is encouraging so I will join watching your family grow. Praise God!

Neither of us wanted to be alone, and felt too young still to be alone…it’s awesome you two met and are now married with a girl on the way. I don’t know how you afford to feed that many kids, especially today…but good luck !!!
I am a Christian and lost my husband suddenly after an emergency surgery in February of this year. We had two children, a boy and a girl, both grown and have families of their own. We have been blessed with 10 grand children and 5 great grand children and another due next month (July). Next month would have been 55 years for us. Awesome story…loosing a spouse and especially through sickness is hard….but yes God is faithful! I was married for almost 56 years and he passed away in May of 2022. You obviously have and will touch a lot of people on your journey of faith. What I can say about food is maybe have a big batch food making party and put it in the freezer once a month for times when you are stuck for a hurry meal. I know how hard it is to always be on top of food. Over the years casseroles, canning, freezing, and a garden was always a blessing. Your testimony and family will be such a blessing to so many others also talking about your faith is so refreshing. I’m in Canada but have visited all those places and Silver Dollar City so know exactly where you are. I loved touring that area. Good memories!!❤🙏God Bless!

Oh my. Your story, even though it is somewhat different from mine, but so close to it. I am 75 now, but over 38 years at barely 37, lost my first husband after his illness of 81/2 years. We had 2 boys who were a sophomore and eighth grader. I thought I would not survive, but I knew I had to finish raising our boys. I really did not think I would marry again, but God had other plans. Four years later, I did marry again. I am so fortunate. I had 2 wonderful husbands. I had 18 years together with the first and almost 25 years together with my second. My mother and her new husband met about 5 years after losing their respective spouses. They married two months after meeting each other when they were 73 & 72. They are still very happy almost ten years later :) God knows exactly what you need and if that includes another husband, you can be assured He will place you in the right place at the right time. Psalm 37:4 in the Bible says, "Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart."

You should connect with Our Tribe of Many. They have 11 children and began homesteading about a year ago. They could definitely help with the meal planning, cooking and home schooling. Their 2 oldest have gone to Japan and Sri Lanka for 6 month to a year missons.
Amen… I am a widow, I missed my husband so much. He died of liver cancer. I am still grieving but God has been good to me. He’s my husband (Isaiah 55:4).

I lost my husband after 6 years of difficult caregiving and torment without the help of my family while teaching high school every day. I’m now realizing that there will never be another mate for me as I am very old, but God is showing me daily that what I need is Him, silence, solitude, His Word and His people. I’m in a very young (nobody older than 41) house church which loves me as if I were their momma. I live in Central Arkansas but spend one week a month in MO. It's great the good Lord meant for you two to meet, and be a family. It's difficult to feed a large family, and boys will eat you out of house, and home. I don't have 11, I have 2 boys, and 2 girls, plus a husband and food goes fast. My husband helps when he can. I've trained the kids to help prep food for meals, clean dishes, house, and taught them to do laundry. This way prep, and cooking meals is not all Mom. Now our kids are grown up, and live on their own with their families. I know, I'm rambling....my point, have your boys help with meal prep, chores inside, and out. This will help you both out, and the boys learn. Blessings to y'all.

I lost my husband 3 days before Christmas 2019 and I am now in my later sixties and have kind of given up on love finding me again. Unless I believe someone is Heaven sent I will remain alone. I'm a believer too and going through some hard things in my life, not related to illness, but because I am living in an inequally yoke marriage. So, being faithful to God has been a challenge. Lots of prayers if you have time, for my husband's salvation. My life right now is trying to be faithful to God and trust Him for tomorrow.

What an incredible story! So inspiring and such a testament to the love of God! He is so good. Can’t wait to follow your journey. Some advice from a mom of 6 about to be 7 have the boys help out. We assign chores based on age and offer rewards. You would be amazed at how willing and capable children are. It’s good for them to help and it’s impossible to do it all yourselves. All of my kids help with their laundry they each have assigned baskets and their own towel. The younger ones are in charge of cleaning up all the toys before bed. The older ones are in charge of setting the table and cleaning up after meals. You have so many extra hands to help and it can run so smoothly when everyone works together. It takes a lot less time too! ❤️I only say this because it sounded like you guys were trying to figure out how you can serve all 12 of them yourselves. Remember parents are supposed to teach children how to do things for themselves so they grow up to be capable and helpful human beings in society. Not saying you don’t know this but it’s easy to feel guilt as a parent because the world makes it seem like we are supposed to be waiting on our kids hand and foot. I tried that and guess what it was impossible. Then one day I realized I’m one person and I need help so I asked the kids to help me and I assigned tasks and next thing I knew things were actually getting done! Sooo much better when we all work together. Anyways, God bless your growing family! ❤❤❤❤

You should connect with Our Tribe of Many. They have 11 children and began homesteading about a year ago. They could definitely help with the meal planning, cooking and home schooling. Their 2 oldest have gone to Japan and Sri Lanka for 6 month to a year missons.

I lost my husband after 6 years of difficult caregiving and torment without the help of my family while teaching high school every day. I’m now realizing that there will never be another mate for me as I am very old, but God is showing me daily that what I need is Him, silence, solitude, His Word and His people. I’m in a very young (nobody older than 41) house church which loves me as if I were their momma. I live in Central Arkansas but spend one week a month in MO. It's great the good Lord meant for you two to meet, and be a family.
It's difficult to feed a large family, and boys will eat you out of house, and home. I don't have 11, I have 2 boys, and 2 girls, plus a husband and food goes fast. My husband helps when he can. I've trained the kids to help prep food for meals, clean dishes, house, and taught them to do laundry. This way prep, and cooking meals is not all Mom. Now our kids are grown up, and live on their own with their families. I know, I'm rambling....my point, have your boys help with meal prep, chores inside, and out. This will help you both out, and the boys learn.

I lost my husband 3 days before Christmas 2019 and I am now in my later sixties and have kind of given up on love finding me again. Unless I believe someone is Heaven sent I will remain alone. Your story is so inspiring. God has truely blessed you all. I'm a believer too and going through some hard things in my life, not related to illness, but because I am living in an inequally yoke marriage. So, being faithful to God has been a challenge. Lots of prayers if you have time, for my husband's salvation. My life right now is trying to be faithful to God and trust Him for tomorrow.

What an incredible story! So inspiring and such a testament to the love of God! He is so good. Can’t wait to follow your journey. Some advice from a mom of 6 about to be 7 have the boys help out. We assign chores based on age and offer rewards. You would be amazed at how willing and capable children are. It’s good for them to help and it’s impossible to do it all yourselves. All of my kids help with their laundry they each have assigned baskets and their own towel. The younger ones are in charge of cleaning up all the toys before bed. The older ones are in charge of setting the table and cleaning up after meals. You have so many extra hands to help and it can run so smoothly when everyone works together. It takes a lot less time too! ❤️I only say this because it sounded like you guys were trying to figure out how you can serve all 12 of them yourselves. Remember parents are supposed to teach children how to do things for themselves so they grow up to be capable and helpful human beings in society. Not saying you don’t know this but it’s easy to feel guilt as a parent because the world makes it seem like we are supposed to be waiting on our kids hand and foot. I tried that and guess what it was impossible. Then one day I realized I’m one person and I need help so I asked the kids to help me and I assigned tasks and next thing I knew things were actually getting done! Sooo much better when we all work together. Anyways, God bless your growing family! ❤❤❤❤
