I got an idea as to why they wait so long to return units on banners:
They know that a lot of people skip most of the banners throughout the year so they can save for the big celebrations, so to counteract that, Toshi and his clowns are on purpose not bringing back units like Buu duo.
They're probably thinking: If you're not summoning on the initial banner, you're not getting a second chance any time soon.

I feel like revive units are generally never going to be too defensive. You're already reviving as a stronger character it would be kinda op if Paikuhan was defensive.
They should still have a bit more defense though.

I recommend running some PURE Defense Equipment , because without that this unit may have trouble tanking (even later on without featured boost)
I still believe they should’ve made this unit ranged, the “defense” in this game gets overlooked unless you don’t have some sort of defensive mechanism like ssj goku or op’s gauge/ green card, or any disruption at all.

From what I can tell, Pikkon isn't really meant to be used as a defensive character. His main role is to start a combo and then use as many green cards as possible to buy some time. Then, once the gauge is pretty full, he is just Rush fodder.

Despite this unit being.. Something- I have fun using this unit and I don't regret summoning. Fought against someone called Lovefusion who was using Ultra Janemba and that was the most fun I've had with a unit.

Yeah; pikkon should have had card sealing. With every hit, seal 1 card for 10 timer counts. Then with a full guage, he'd lock 2 cards for 15 timer counts after every hit.

I feel like a revive character that is defense type was always doomed from the beginning. Most revive units first life is supposed to be less tanky cause you know.. they have 2 lifes.

Bro how did your pikkon/gogeta does so much damage and tanks well. I have them also at 6 stars and z+ equipment and in the morning when I was testing him he does almost no damage to everyone even janemba. Also 4 hits from janemba killed him.
He look ok, but you need a stacked team to make him shine, and even then it seems a bit too much investment for not that high of a pay off.
Not gonna lie this unit being a defense type screws them badly. They tale so much damage from purple units and barely do any damage in my own encounters with them
