Hi Everybody! I put a discount code in the video description next to the link for this camera, not sure how long it will last but I will remove it once it ends. Hope this helps!
I'm impressed with the quality of your video and the detail you put into showing the product. You don't rush through it. I especially liked the close up views, its almost like I'm holding it in my hands . great job.
hi had an issue with the first one I had but the company back up their product and sent me an upgraded version which is awesome and work very well now I'M satisfied ! Service is great ......
In warmer states, solar seems doable, but winter months where temp drops to zero will kill rechargeable batteries. On a different note, if that solar collector could be mounted inside the vehicle, in the rear window there would be less temptation for theft.
Hi Bent Nickel! Here is the operating specs of the battery 75 days at 140°F, 50 days at 14°F and 25 days at -4°F so there is definitely an impact as the temperature lowers, I do like the idea of playing with the placement, since the cylinder separates from the bracket, I want to see if I can tuck one in hidden on another car with a low front bumper, probably secured with Zip Ties or a Worm Clamps..
Hi Backyard Bass Builds! Nope, so far none of the reversing camera systems I have tested offer capability to connect to an existing radio. I'm assuming you are running an aftermarket stereo? the ones with larger screen typically use an RCA input, this kit should work for adding a reverse camera to those amzn.to/3E6px2N Hope this helps and thanks for watching bud!
That is a really cool setup Alex! I'm going to have to take some measurements and see the length of the camera and then take some measurements underneath the nose of the Corvette. This might be the perfect thing to watch and be careful not to scratch the front fascia or the spoiler! You always come up with interesting devices on your reviews! I really like your channel keep up the good work! 👍😊
Hi David! and thank you! I was actually thinking of your Vette when I was testing this, specially since the cylinder can be dismounted from the bracket I can see we may be able to place it almost hidden in the front maybe held with Zip Ties or worm clamps..
Hi Leon! this system is only mean to be used for short periods (say backing up or parking) since it runs on batteries. If you want to keep the camera on continuously you need a system that is connected to continuous power like this one th-cam.com/video/4p5f4md2Ro4/w-d-xo.html And I have more backup camera reviews on my channel under the playlist "Backup Cameras" if you like to compare them. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
Hey! I already had this camera installed in my car and was thinking of adding an extra camera in the front as well. Wanted to know if I can switch between both cameras with the charging socket button provided as my display is fitted in the centre of my dashboard where its not easily accessible to use the buttons on the screen.
Hi S! I would recommend checking your instruction manual to see how to switch channels (they are often releasing updates to the product and manual, so things may have changed since I reviewed this system) Cheers!
Dual front/back solar wireless license plate camera kit with monitor is exactly what I'm looking for! But I also need 2 cameras for side blindspots. Any suggestions?
Hi Larry! yes here are 3 good options th-cam.com/video/8i_CVpPj3Dg/w-d-xo.html or th-cam.com/video/b2JXMQyU-24/w-d-xo.html or th-cam.com/video/u7jhNVtxQdM/w-d-xo.html Hope this helps, Cheers!

Great video! I am going to get this system for a 1990 Mustang that I have because I am finding that because I've gotten used to backup cameras I'm afraid that I'm going to back that car into something because I won't be looking behind I'll be looking for the camera display on the dash. I haven't gotten side cameras for my other car yet but I'm thinking of getting the system that has the rearview mirror. I would not use it for the mirror because my inside mirror is electrochromic. Do you know if I could put a windshield mount on that one? Thank you so much for doing this and for your help. Have a blessed day.
Thanks Hoozthair! ah yes regarding mounting a mirror dashcam with a different mount, no so far I have not see any type of mounts for it other than mounting to the mirror location. I do have another system coming with dual side cameras, it's for this heads up display th-cam.com/video/z-m_ez2a8o4/w-d-xo.html I'm working on the video right not, stay tuned, it may interest you bud!
Hi, I wonder do you know whether both the camera and the solar panel are safe to go through a car wash. I typically wash my car at a gas station twice a week, and I'm concerned about whether the car wash could potentially damage the camera or the solar panel.
Hi A! Ah Auto-Vox rates the system at IP68, however with all waterproof cameras I always recommend being extra careful whenever dealing with water spray (to avoid the danger of high pressure water entering the camera) and also being extra careful with public car wash brushes (they can be very aggressive, and can scratch the lens of the camera the same way that they scratch the clear coating on vehicle's paint). Same would apply to automatic car wash places, strong jets of water and spinning brushes are things I personally avoid. Cheers!
@aaronxiong6249 You're welcome! The TW1 is a good system (mine is still going strong but will update this comment if something changes), but I just like to play it safe with all systems with outside cameras. Consider a system with a camera mounted in the inside (my preferred location because of ease of installation and also because of the potential issues I mention with outside mounting) You can find many good systems under my playlist playlist "Dual Channel Dash Cams" so you can compare them, Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun I’m looking for a camera that can provide a lower front view of my vehicle. I already have a dual dash cam installed, but I want an additional exterior camera for a better view of the lower front. hi, i purchased this model and it was a breeze to install.. but I see significant delays from camera to screen. sometimes the picture is frozen on the screen. how do we rectify this issue.
Hi Sidharth! congrats on your new backup system! ah interesting I haven't had any issues with a frozen screen or delays, remember this is a short range wireless system, double check how far it's away from the main receiver. Remember range is also affected by obstacles in the signal path so I would also check to see if a closer line of sight could be established. If you are still having issues, also try contacting Auto-Vox for tech support, they can probably walk you thru the troubleshooting process. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Hi Giotto! yes most people typically will install it on the top of their license plate, however it can also be placed on the lower license plate screws or anywhere else on the car since it can also be mounted with the double side tape. For example I had another viewer mentioned they installed theirs underneath their Jeep since they do rock crawling. Hope this helps and Cheers!
@@OleHippy Hi Michael! ah good eye! I installed mine over the license plate however the bracket can also be placed below the license plate if you want to avoid it covering the State name or the it could be placed on the bottom of license plate instead of the top (to clear the State name) or anywhere else on the car since it can also be mounted with the double side tape. And I have more back up cameras reviews on my channel under the playlist "Back Up Cameras" if you like to compare them. Hope this helps and Cheers!
Hi Mike! it seems to be on some type of sleep mode (which would explain how they get the long battery life) until you need to use it. A signal is likely sent to the camera to turn on completely when you need, then returns to stand by after your done using it. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

Hi Nafis! it does however remember this is meant to be used for parking or backing up, if used constantly such as driving continuously the battery will quickly be depleted. Hi Andy!
