Btw I'm grateful to Toscano since he brought some attention to the Fiba InterContinental Cup. I think it's an interesting competition, seeing teams from different leagues, and also of course it would be amazing if NBA and/or Euroleague champions participated. And most importantly it was free to watch on youtube 😄
Thank you for the engaging content. Keep up with these top lists you make! It would be interesting to know who you think will be the top scorers, which players will get more or less playing time compared to last season, and maybe something about fantasy drafts since they've already started. Good luck!
It's a difficult business/career decision for players. Yes no doubt Euroleague and maybe even some other leagues (ACB) are better then G-League but if you are good in G-League you have a chance to be called over on a two-way contract to the NBA, the best league in the world, and be able to go back and forth as needed. So G-League teams aren't really "teams" as in all other leagues. I mean what kind of team would have the best player(s) continuing going and coming back, or maybe not coming back? I know Euroleague also looses their best players to the NBA but that is at the end of the season. So players have to choose if they want to play in the G-League where they have a better chance of getting called up to the NBA or some other league like Euroleague where they have a guaranteed contract with more money, play on a more "real" team, etc...
I always thought it would be super interesting to see an NBA team throw out player development and just sign the best 13 players they can possibly have. Screw potential. Your second round picks probably won’t turn into anything anyways so why pay them millions of dollars to sit on the bench for a year or 2? And screw most first rounders, I don’t want a 19-21 year old who is going to take an entire rookie contract (tens of millions of dollars) to reach his potential plus he most likely won’t even be with my team in a few years when he actually becomes good due to salary cap rules. I think that would make for an entertaining team.
This podcast shows sad reality of europe basketball people and really follow basketball they only care about there team, just look at the views of this podcast they are low because there is no oly pao, or partizan in title of video
Bayern literally got the German championship besting Alba. It also had 13 wins in Euroleague as opposed to just 5 wins for Alba. And Zalgiris did even better.
