sir sana ma feature nio din po ung mga prayer songs in Bicol Region. I believe, most of them are still sung in Spanish. Those songs are worth to preserve since in other places they have already replaced it by Tagalog or other dialect. Such prayer songs are done by barrios residents every weeknights right before the actual fiesta. I dont know about how the others sung it, but in our place, the tradition is called "Aurora" .Before, many years ago, the ladies usually led the singing while they were walking their patron saint until they reach the chapel. My ears truly appreciated what i have heard during those days. Even if it is in Spanish, it was still beautifully sung.. they were like the angels singing in the silence of the night , with the beats of the drums, and trumpets.. Today, it is very seldom now to hear those kind of singing in auroras as the ladies got old already some were gone and were replaced by young teens to continue the tradition. But they are not as good as them.
