Loved to see the demonstration of how to properly put out a fire. I wish more people would follow that example. We have pulled up to so many campsites where campfires have still been smouldering. One was literally a few feet away from a lake! Keep kiddies away from anything that looks like a ground fire until you know it is really out and DON'T park on what you think is a cold fire. Coals under the ground that don't emit any smoke will do very nasty things to your tyres. We spent a year working up in Queensland and dare I say, it is probably almost as good as WA :)
Great seeing a glimpse of Moreton. Definitely on a destination list but don’t think I’ll be fortunate enough to bring a 79 series tricked out that nicely just yet.
Watching this video from my hospital bed after a total knee replacement last Thursday. Your mates “79 series” looks great but I’d not give up my 200 series for it. Thanks for your weekly videos.: they’ll help me get thru my rehab. Cheers Andrew
Did Moreton back in 81 in a 2.2 4dr Hilux with stock split rims and Bridgestone mud & snow tyres, dropped the tyre pressure to 8 psi, went everywhere no probs. We camped near the Blue Lagoon on the ocean side, never had a better time!
You know something, if Bryan was a really nice bloke with all that lithium battery power he would have put an inverter in it and provided a proper coffee machine for your trip! What I suppose I’m saying is Bryan’s neighbours must come out to see what he’s up to and think “aw for gawd sake what is he doing to the car now!” and “is there anything else left to add to this car?? (The answer to this will always be of course - no, just a few more things i reckon and then I’m done) - Wish I had a 79 series like that, not jealous at all! One of my favourite camping spots by far too, how good is Moreton!
I was spewing mate, I missed chatting to you at the eastern creek 4x4 show because you were tucking into your lunch and I didn’t want to disturb you … so I went over and spoke with Ronny about his 79 series … meant to grab one of your fire to fork Velcro patches and forgot on the way out damn it !!
Hey! One of houses passed on your way in through Kooringal my partners granparents own. They have owned the block since 1996, built the shed, then the house and have been living there on and off since. 79 Series! I would love to get my hands on one of your books, I need all of the gold in there!
Spectacular episode, what an awesome HJ75, so much better when you can do the work yourself. How lucky are you that Brian had a 79 Series that is fully kitted that you could borrow. Thanks for showing a little or Moreton
Emergency coffeeeee, get 3 or for sheets of paper towels and fold into a triangle cone an use them as a filter coffee , just pour bloody water , works a treat in emergency even in a decked “79 series” landy, and to your question about mangroves there is some in Newcastle nsw and probably way south
79 series. I really had a good laugh when you mentioned Ryan as a Sheff buying the seafood. I also remember one of your fist videos Harry with Graham Cahill when you referred to the 79 series as a lobster. It’s nice to see you having fun and working hard away from your family. Enjoy the beers and keep cooking mate. Life is too short. 🍻
Ryan, I know I'm a few weeks behind, but you're the winner of the book in this episode! This is not a bloody scammer comment, you can click on my username and confirm it's actually me - just shoot me an email contact@firetofork.net and I'll get a signed one out to you - Harry
@@firetofork Thanks so Much Harry. Never to late to give someone a gift mate, It’s me who should be thanking you. I really appreciate it and look forward to attempting your recipes 🍻
I also wasn't a 79 series fan! But my 60 series developed a little problem, just past Bramwell Roadhouse, so my son loaned me his 79 to continue my trip to the Tip. Wow! So easy to drive, & the torque... fornication! I get the 60 back in a couple of days, all fixed! I am enjoying your relaxed & easy style of presentation... keep up the great work.
We have lots of mangroves in the Central Coast NSW, they also go down the South Coast like Ulladulla, not sure how far down they go. Cool to see you out in a 79 series
I'm yet to camp at Morten but I've stayed there in houses many many times. Would be easy in a "79 series" but as I own a jimny so less things to carry but still do-able.
If you like Moreton you'll love Kgari (Fraser). It's the same, but bigger and wilder and more lakes and creeks. Also, I'm very certain you do have to pay per night to camp...
Thanks for this vid as it made me realise that a 79 series is probably the end game for me and the wife for offroad touring. The other thing I realised is that now I have to add Moreton to the list of places to get to. And one last thing... thank you for your vid (ages ago now) of the Oz Braai Camp Braai. Bloody awesome bit of kit :)
can we have a talk/video about best practice for fires and leave no trace principles in relation to ashes partially burnt materials - also glass and aluminium and plastics
That 79- series is my dream car , how lucky are you that your mate let's you take it out for the couple of days, if I spent that much on an awesome set-up I don't think I could hand over the keys like that to anyone
79 Series my partner Ant loves your work as do I and we would be stoked to get one of your books, your vids inspire us to shake up our own camp cooking thank you 😊
Great job on the fire mate! No rubbish left in there, no burnt beer cans or bottles and completely put out. Top job compared to a lot of others
Jet boil and the aero press is my go to camping coffee. they rock.

Wish I could get a 79 Series in the States!
Nice one Harry, the 79 series looks great.
I’m liking the the mix of cooking and camping.
Keep up the awesomeness mate.
Great vid Harry , 79 series is an awesome rig .
It may surprise you to learn there are mangroves as far south as Victoria.
Cheers
Rocking the 79 series! Great post
We get mangroves as far south as Victoria. Western port is dotted with them as well as at the mouth of the Yarra.
Mangroves also in Bunbury I believe!
Great seeing a glimpse of Moreton. Definitely on a destination list but don’t think I’ll be fortunate enough to bring a 79 series tricked out that nicely just yet.

Correct down here on the sunny central coast we have plenty of mangroves wouldn’t dive a “79 series”though most of them tho

Best part about the 79 series that you’re driving… is you haven’t had to pay the crazy arse prices for a 1970’s car. Hahahahaha
Sweet looking "79 series" don't worry I won't tell Ronnie you love it and want to be like him
79 series. If only I had the 🤑🤑🤑 great set-up and an amazing score for you. Brian we need to be friends 🤣 cheers 🍻

79 series rocks!💪🏻
Hey even with your vehicle permit you still need to pay your $6.95 camping permit each night for the campground you are in. Nice 79 series tho
