Between the big cost difference, and the extra tare weight, you get a lot more trailer for your money with the PJ. Add, or build, a tongue box and go to work with confidence that you spent smart money.
Diamond C has been innovating like crazy across their entire product line. PJ is still making the same trailers they did 25 years ago. Innovate or die.
Isn't it crazy to see how long a certain trailer design or model can stick around before it gets updated? You're right, they have to keep innovating and improving!
I've got a pj b5. Which is basically the same as that pj but it's the 102inch width and drive over fenders. 5200lb axles. Very sturdy built trailer. My only complaint is that it's heavy. Even empty My little half ton 96 ram has to work to get it moving. Is the diamond c any lighter??
In terms of weight, they will still be very similar! Those superwide models with the drive over fenders are definitely heavier, and it's hard to get away from that tongue weight since it has the steel runners on each side!
3,500 lb axles are very common for car haulers! With a payload of around 5,000 lbs, these trailers will handle most cars and small equipment. There's a lot of camper trailers out there with 3,500 lb axles as well! Really, it all comes down to payload that matches what you need to haul.
Also to think about when choosing with the weight is if it’s heavier and rated the same as another brand you would get less capacity.
Diamond c is way over built for 3.5k axles, should have come with 5k axles
That's actually an available upgrade for this model! The standard axle option is 3,500 lb axles, but they can be upgraded to 6,000 lb axles.

Diamond 💎 C is just a flex but both do very well me personally I have both love them but I'm rooting for Diamond C more
Agreed! Both trailers do a great job. It's cool that you own both brands!
I have that Diamond C trailer and it hauls like a dream. Tow a 4 seater CanAm with a 2014 Raptor.
The Diamond C does have breaking axles on both the front and rear. big difference in stopping assistance.

Dimond C had me captured until 3500lb axles and 2k worth of difference. Throw some 5k axles under that puppy same price and it's well worth it.
6K axles are optional
Are either of them powder coated?
@@danielvandyck8882 yes sir, both of these trailers have are powder coated!
@ wish I lived closer!!
Ridiculous for manufactures to be putting 3500# axles on trailers that heavy.

That’s not even a comparison. Diamond C is the benchmark in the industry. Hands down. PJ comes apart.
Pj is j7st another triple crown and its sad to compare tc with pj as pj has to be the worst trailer ever.
