YESS THANK YOU !! I am looking at sunmis "You can't sit with us".... like we didn't need that rap , sunmi didn't need that rap, the whole universe didn't need that shit 😭
I WISH THAT WASN'T UNPOPULAR. i hate to say this but i can't listen to 99% of girl group songs or exo's discography because the rappers are terrible. i always hear exo has an amazing discography but i'm not sitting through chanyeol, sehun & kai's dumpster fire
i hate it when i look at the comments on a music video and it's just those spam comments like "they are not just an idol" "they are actually multitalented" etc. i want to see people's opinions on the song, the video, actual critical thinking and taking apart and analysing it, or even just people enjoying it not "x group never disappoints"
I hate when I watch a clearly pre-recorded performance and people are praising the "stable vocals" on the comments and if you dare to point out the obvious fact that they are not singing live they reply "just because your fav can't sing live doesn't mean it has to be pre-recorded" like no??? they're just not singing live and that's ok no big deal but don't try to deny it 😭😭
no frrr and it's even worse when it's one of those videos where the members are just standing and singing but their vocals are slathered in pitch correction and the stans eat it up thinking this is what live vocals sound like 😭
Thiiiisss! I usually can tell rich Got away when something is prerecorded or even if it’s live the backtrack is obviously louder and as soon as I go to the comments “damn she sounds amazing, Omg queens of stability” and the ones that talk about how they can hit a note perfectly while doing a really hard dance move like …. Come on … don’t be dumb~
Speaking of bad grammar, I live in Japan and speak Japanese and I absolutely hate it when kpop groups convert their songs into Japanese versions because I do not want to attend concerts to hear Japanese versions of my favorite songs cause it just sounds so off. The Japanese translations are always so bad and it makes me question everything and don't even get me started on the rap translations. Like who the hell even thought that was a good idea? The rap translations are always horrible. And even though the idols do work hard on the pronunciation, for some reason in the Japanese releases, it sometimes very obviously sounds foreign so that also makes me crack up sometimes. I just don't get Japanese versions because most of the time Japanese original releases are pretty good so I just don't understand why companies don't invest more in Japanese original releases than Japanese versions of songs.
I've always wondered how japanese versions sound to natives because sometimes English versions are a bit off like they tried to make the words fit so obviously but it doesn't work and I wondered if that also happened to you guys.
i feel the same when i hear english versions!! most aren’t particularly bad but i really can’t imagine myself going to concert to listen them or even just listen to them at all, because i’m just used to the original version. some english versions barely even make the effort to rhyme properly so it sometimes sounds like a mess even when the pronunciation is good
I also don't like it when groups release Japanese versions of songs they already have, I'm completely alright with songs in Japanese because well I don't understand Japanese so the only thing that matters to me is that the song sounds good haha, but yeah Japanese versions of songs are always skips.
@@eykyra I think it’s even worse when they make some of the Korean lyrics into English because it doesn’t work in Japanese. Like oh my god it sounds so bad (not naming any songs…) and then the whole song is just full of Japanese and English lyrics that don’t work well or make sense 😀 I think I’ve only ever heard 2-3 songs ever that actually sound decent (and I listen to many groups) even then, there are obviously some lines that just don’t work or don’t make sense 🧍🧍
My personal pet peeve is ending fairy. Idk I just can't stand seeing idols (even my faves) looking straight into camera with heavy breathing it's so uncomfortable😭
It's definitely getting too out of hand, but I like when some idols acknowledge that and make it parodic on purpose, because even if the performance as a whole looks great, if you think about it that part is a bit cringey.
i personally DESPISE kpop mv's comment sections at this point. no one seems to have anything interesting to say, they just spam the whole thing with the exact. same. comments. regardless of the artist, the exact same thing, copy-and-pasted, *every single time and everywhere* i just can't- like, "___ best boy" or "qUEENS" or "stream hard guys let's get xxxx zillions views!!!!" or "this is a BOP" (omfg i hate that word with a passion) or any other stupid shallow blurbs that usually don't have anything to do with the video. also a bunch of overused fandom memes that stopped being funny 50 years ago. it makes me feel like these fans didn't even listen to the song and just rush to the comments bc 'it's gonna be good anyway i need to support the artist". maybe it's another weird number thing idk. you wanna support your faves ? that's fine, me too, but could we at least have some meaningful discussion ? debate our opinions about this particular comeback, what we like and don't like about it ? how it made us feel ? please i will literally lose my mind at some point.
So true...Like the comment section is nothing just everyone is saying the same thing. Seems like bunch of immature people are talking, nothing about music🤦
It bothers me so much when companies that obviously have the budget to hire good graphic designers and stylists end up with the ugliest album covers, outfits, logos, lightsticks, etc. Do not tell me they seriously sat around a table and were like "wow that looks so good let's use that."
I hate when Stans say Queen Like the idols are doing nothing but just be standing in most encore stages or fan videos and Stans will go "Yaaaaas Queen 😘😩😩😩" that's how I get my day ruined 😀
When will Korean producers realise that you can’t just freestyle a language. Like the pronunciations of words in Spanish and English etc AREN’T SUGGESTIONS to help you make your own little fun word. I don’t think it’s problematic in the slightest to tell people who are literally getting paid to write these songs to do a 5 second search on Google translate or even ask someone of the language if the sentence is grammatical. “Goodbye Avorios” what do you mean??? I almost had a stroke reading how the subtitles were saying “goodbye au revoir adios”
thisss!! also as far as i know Korean doesn't really have fixed stressed vowels in words, so sure, stress whatever syllable suits the song, but i HATEE when they try to do that with English, like in Nxde by G-idle (which is already a mess of a song) when Soyeon says 'self-made woman' it sounds like 'self-made man' bc she barely pronounces 'wo' and stresses 'man'. itzy's English versions have a lot of that too, either stressing the wrong syllable or going through the word SO quickly bc the whole phrase is too long (Nxde: why you think THAT 'bout nude, where 'that' is just 'th' so it sounds like straight up stuttering when the next word is also shortened to start with a consonant). Like if I just sit with it for an hour I can come up with better sounding lyrics with the same exact meaning, and I'm not a native English speaker either. Like.. just scratch the line if it doesn't work or too long, seek help from English speakers, sacrifice that "i wrote the whole song by myself" in favor of an actually good sounding song, jeez
Okay here's one that PISSES me off: When a group's albums all look so different that I can't display them normally on a shelf without it looking like a junkyard. I just like it when there's at least a glimpse of thematic cohesion, at least for a few comebacks, maybe same size albums so I can line them up neatly? This is especially bad when the different versions for a SINGLE release are so different, and I'm like what the fuck were you thinking. 😂
The size of the albums is what annoys me. Every other album I own can be displayed neatly on the shelves, even the limited edition albums I have. But then you get to the k-pop albums and theres no cohesive way to display these.
Idk if this should go in the toxic category but: fandoms who take a clip of two members interacting and make the BIGGEST deal out of it. Like yeah they held hands because they’re FRIENDS Samantha it’s not that deep 😭 the fandom I’m in does it excessively on tiktok and I cringe everytime I see those damn edits 💀
@@thegorilla8808 As a stay, Idm minsung or hyunlix fans, but there are a handful of minsung and hyunlix fans that CANNOT digest the fact that Stray Kids are all extremely close friends and see each other as BROTHERS. Also they cannot accept it when Stays talk about another ship. Like for example if it’s a Hyunin video, some Hyunlix shippers will be like ‘Why is Hyunjin cheating on Felix 😠’ like get over it, no one mentioned Hyunlix here.
@@thegorilla8808honestly minsung shippers r decent bcs they go with the fact that they ship themselves but the hyunlix shippers….there was literally a post with a photo where Felix had his hand on hyunjin and I.ns shoulder it zoomed in on where Felix’s hand was on hyunjins shoulder and they’re literally like “the tension🔥”😃
The english one is so true ugh, English is also not my first language but I'm an English major so it bothers me to no end... it's to the point I've rewritten some English lyrics in my head, like in Loona's PTT I'll think "Is the moon in disguise" or "we'll take it to the moon" instead of whatever nonsense the lyricists pulled up
The loona one! I'm always like why the fuck do they say "we're taking to the moon" when they could just say "we'll take it" it fits perfectly there was no reason.
Yeah that frustrates me a lot too. Wtf does "shut your tongue" mean? As well as this though, pronunciation on killing parts - ESPECIALLY if they have a fluent English speaker in their group who can easily correct them and teach them how to say it. Like Red Velvet's "Rookie" they say it a s"Lucky" which I understand since they don't have R's and L's in Korean, just ㄹ. But they literally have Wendy in the group so there's no reason why it should be said like that. I guess maybe the company wanted them to pronounce it like that on purpose? idk but it just makes the song un-listenable for me since it's the chorus and repeated so often. Of course I'm not bothered by every part of songs with non-accurate pronunciation; some you can tell they tried their hardest and did ok or they have a longer/rap part so it's more difficult to memorise the right pronunciation of an extended section, others simply don't have any English speaking members or producers to assist. It's mainly in instances such as the one mentioned. If they still find it hard, roll the R or something if it's easier.. whatever idc if they have to alter it to make it at least sound like the correct letter, it doesn't have to sound like complete perfection. It's one word, not too much to ask.
English is not first language either and the first time I listened I could have sworn that the lyric was "we'll take it to the moon", it makes much more sense and to this day is like that to me, I forgot about the actual lyric until this comment
I guess the thing that annoys me the most is when the toxic part of a fandom does something and the rest of the fandom start saying "they're not a part of fandom" or "they're not true fan". like babe please, instead of saying such things, why don't y'all accept that they DID do something toxic. I remember there was a fan war going on between two fandoms and the ones who started were shitting about the group and the "sane ones" or the "true fans" as they call themselves, instead of stopping them, started to point out the toxic things done by the other fandom. I was literally scrolling through entire thing and not even a single reply was accepting the fandom's doings. instead they were pointing out each other's flaws. p.s. I was told I'm not a "true fan" of the group if I don't like their song.🙂
I completely agree...this annoys me soo much. The funniest thing here is that in a lot of cases, the toxic fans of the group are the ones who are obsessed with them, they are the main people constantly streaming, creating multiple accounts to vote, getting the idols wins, and getting into fan wars because they would do anything. Then the 'sane' fans call them 'not true fans/ not a part of the fandom' when they do something embarrassing. Like how is that helping???? Then these 'sane' fans praise their idols for the numbers/ wins etc. when in reality the toxic fans were the ones who mass streamed the shit out of the songs. Toxic people exist in all fandoms. Saying they are not a part of the fandom does not stop fan wars.
That’s why I never understand when Blinks say Blonks cuz aren’t they in your fandom gurl? The least a qualified fan of a band can do is support them or stream their songs and even toxic fans fulfill this category. So yeah, that also irks me somehow.
I agree which is why I love seeing when fandoms correct other people in their fandoms like YES tell people how they act on the internet (will sadly get them consequences~) in a kind, adament manner but I guess people just don’t want to think that their fandom has toxic people in it which is also understandable.
Omg i swear, i always see someone make a whole paragraph about their thought process and making really good points about non-kpop content, and then the replies are just filled with "omg a lisa stan"
Thats what happened to me once on my other account, I was commenting under a video about a very serious topic. I wrote almost a whole book lol. I don't have a profil pic and a very basic name there. One person commented discussing some of my points and giving their own opinion. Everything fine for now. After a few hours I decided to reply and just saw all the comments under my comment flooded with "Omg Army" "I am an army too" "OMG I can't believe you like bts aswell" etc.... Hear me out , its okay to get exited to see people from your fandom but ffs learn to read the room. My comment was neither the time nor the place for this excitement. Go do that under videos or comments that are related to bts or kpop but not under a video that had nothing to do with either of those things. It makes my blood boil tbh
This might actually be a toxic thing, but when gg stans think that "stanning women" aka newly debuted teenage idols somehow makes them feminist and justifies them bashing boy groups or bg stans. It just pisses me off.
Something that annoys me is when fans hype up something an idol says as savage, and then when I go to check out the clip, I almost always walk away thinking "that was it?! that was barely spicy". I guess it's an unfortunate byproduct of how sanitized their public personas are that fans see crumbs of attitude and think it's a whole meal.
I like that some idols sing about how they dislike those stereotypes. I think vixx did it first, they have a song like "I Don't Want to Be an Idol" lol
I love LE SSERAFIM but I'm still trying to digest the name FEARNOT 💀 How can the company came out with the most beautiful, elegant and graceful name "LE SSERAFIM" (i love their group name so much it sounds so pretty), yet they choose such a questionable fandom name, like I get the meaning but it does not sound pretty at all, it just doesn't match the vibe with the group name. Also, the logos are something I'm bother more than lightsticks, idk i just think they could have put more effort into (sorry but LE SSERAFIM im looking at you like who designed the logo HYBE do better)
it could’ve been “pearls” after their song “my world is an oyster” but noooooo we can’t have good things. i guess it makes sense bcs a common thing angels say when they make an appearance is “fear not” or “have no fear” but it’s still ugly idc
@@AlM22 the Korean name isn't used internationally how ever I'll go and say I'm a fearnot ! That sounds so weird , people are gonna be like what is that? It'll be better if they keep a name which sounds good in English as well as Korean
I agree with the formation thing 100%. That is why I am so glad red velvet added Yeri, It allows them to give nice and symmetrical formations which are much nicer. Imo 4 member groups aren't too bad since they don't have too many members, but it is really awk in 6 member groups when one person is standing behind the one in center and is basically invisible.
I always thought it was a substitute rap position that is used from time to time. Like, the sub-rapper gets some rap lines here and there and overall has the least amount of raps in songs. I thought they are usually the support for both vocals and rap.
for me two things are: 1. repetitive comments claiming everyone in the group is an allrounder like 'this group has x visuals x singers x rappers etc.' like, there are very few groups where every member is an allrounder, so these comments are kinda annoying. doubly annoying when it just makes Zero sense like, with xdinary heroes' new comeback, there are comments like '6 singers, 6 rappers, 6 dancers, 6 visuals' and i'm ???? because, while i don't know everything about that group, i do know that they aren't dancers so why not at least leave that part out? 2. the chat in live streams. this problem is not exclusive to kpop, but, as with most things, i feel like it's amplified in kpop. i don't tune in to many live streams in general, but the chat is always so off topic. and i don't know why it bothers me so much, but it really does. especially those comments like 'can you date me? say i love you. go get/where is x member? what do you think about x ship? do you like x other group? etc.'
Yes especially people asking for other members. Or saying🥳😔🥰😮💨😮💨🫤💖 or OPPA saraghae like T^T like I watch live streams after lol so that way I don’t get distracted by the live chat
What annoys me in kpop is when fans call someone an all-rounder when they aren't. Being good at two things, such as dancing and singing doesn't make you an all-rounder. All-rounder means you're great at everything singing, dancing and rapping. BTW Thanks for you video❤❤
Ikkk, this. I remember watching a video and someone said Lisa was an all rounder, like pls no, she cant sing, she’s not a singer and I’m not sure if she’s considered a rapper since she’s just someone who raps
@@sweetmimosamommysaranghae3163 considering the group she is the most well rounded member she can sing and is considered second best rapper in her group
I agree with the uneven groups having better formations than even ones. One of the things that bother me that shouldn't are weird stage outfites, for me it kind of causes me to get distracted by the ugly outfit.
I think this is more common than you think. I remember one day when I was talking with other kpopers about fashion and one say "I'm sorry but most of the outfits are ugly to me, like maybe in an MV but never in a stage" And people started to be honest with that and I had one of my favorites conversations of kpop, cause we only talked about clothes and outfits, not how good or bad the idol looks with that clothes. Very healthy debate and it was centered on looks. But people have to start to be honest with that, because it is said that Korean fashion is great, and seems that if you criticize it you have no idea about fashion :/
Ugh true! Some stage outfits are really distracting when you look at the whole group and then you see this one outfit like (but the idol somehow always manages to pull it off🥰)
about the safety shorts (as a stylist) my guess is there could be a couple of reasons: 1- the kink koreans seem to have with shorts/mini skirts. for ex. a plaid mini skirt, reminiscent of a school uniform can look "sexy" to people with this kink even if it has a safety short. 2- the piece of clothing is designer so they might not want to alter it thus using the safety shorts and 3- (most common imo) the stylists are lazy and prefer to just give everyone safety shorts instead of costumizing the outfit
My favorite fandom name of all time: BABYs (B.A.P.) I laughed so hard when I first heard it and I still can't take it seriously. Also, honorable mention is AID (DIA's fandom), which in plural sounds.....weird.

Absolutely agree on the "some group's "memes" aren't actually all that funny" part. Like, I stan a certain girl group casually bc I like most of their music, but their variety content and the "memes" their fans make out of that are mostly lame. I don't wanna be doxxed by crazy delulus, so I'll keep the name to myself. Suffice to say that only one of the members is actually naturally funny, but she can't shine as much as she could on her own in group content bc her members are just more shy and seem a bit awkward and wouldn't match her energy or, if they try, usually end up looking as awkward as they must feel. And that's OK - not everyone does have to be a crackhead, they're singers and performers, not stand-up comedians. Meanwhile, there's groups I don't even really stan, but watch compilations of bc they're hella funny. It's a nice plus, but it's not a must for a group and can't be forced.
@@sweetmimosamommysaranghae3163 no way it's loona, i don't even stan, but i have to give it to orbits for making the funniest memes bp tho i could understand, especially bc there's only 4 of them, so it's not a long shot that only one member is funny also the shy members part is also def not loona, but fits bp again
@@1dowhatyouwant I’m not sure, I’ve seen ppl say that orbits humor is not one that normal ppl (non-orbits) would find funny and such, and I was going from ops comment that said ‘and the “memes” their fans make out of that are lame’ so I just thought they were one of those who don’t get orbit humor
Oh wow just watching compilations of a group you dont stan is something i do too! Specifically bts..i dont really listen to their music, but the videos and compilations of them are hilarious. To the point that my 5yo, who sometimes looks over my shoulder as im watching, was shocked "they can sing!" 😂 Like, i think she genuinely thought they were just a comedic group.
What irks me is when an award show based the winning from voting. Like, I know that its not toxic to vote for a group that you stan. BUT LIKE-- for example the category be "best dance performance" but ofc people dont care about who deliver the best performance, majority of people will just blindly vote for the group that they stan, and that take 80 percent of the score so they just win out of vote. Same with scoring best album based on total album sales instead of from musicality point or something. Like... what's the point...
@@kay1561 yes, something like best group or favorite group can be from voting because its still relevant but like best mv or best song or best dance, that need expert for that 👀
Ah, the grammar one. I have some lines that stuck with me for ages and I get reminded of them every time someone brings up grammar in kpop songs: “Oh, my beautiful target. You zoom zoom heart like a rocket!” Thank you B1A4. I can't forget even if I wanted to. "If you wanna pretty, every wanna pretty!" KARA, Pretty Girl. Cute but my soul still weeps.

I wonder how BAP fans used to feel when someone asked them what fandom they were and they had to say BABY. Not only that but when they had to say it stands for Baby Always Behind You. The first one sounds odd and the other one sounds kind of creepy at first. Gen 2 is filled with fandom and group name gems. VIXX is forever my favorite group name chaos: Voice, Visual, Value in Excelsis. Where in the name of the universe did the XX go and Excelsis came in? It will forever annoy me.
As someone who started out as B.A.P. fan, I always used to, and still laugh at both the group name and fandom name. Same goes for SuJu's fandom name too, like imagine saying HI, I'M AN ELF!😭😭😭😭😭😭
I love BAP to the bits for many years although I have never been in their fandom and this is my first time hearing BABY is an abbreviation! This is priceless lol
9:58 I feel you girl 🥲 I abolutely adore Everglow but in their song "Adios" they say "Goodbye, au revoir, adiós" ...I'm sorry but the way they pronounce "au revoir" is soooo weird 😭 French is my 1st language and I HAD NO IDEA THEY WERE EVEN SAYING IT. I found out after reading the lyrics on Google 😭 and even now that I know it, I genuinely can't reproduce it while singing because their pronunciation is just so weird... Same for every song that says "la vie en rose" or "déjà vu", please make an effort, it doesn't sound right at all 🥲 For "Bon bon chocolat", the pronunciation is ok but the spelling is wrong. Bonbon has to be written in only one word with no space in between, I know it's not their 1st language but please, it's not that hard to check on the internet 😭
They're saying "au revoir" ???? WTF, I'm French myself and I have never ever understood that 😭 I thought they were saying "have" (which was weird enough but stupid English sentences are a given in Kpop😅) But to play devil's advocate, "Déjà vu" is a word the English stole us and their pronunciation of the word is more like "Déjà-vous", so I guess it's the pronunciation Kpop groups are going with
I'm Chilenian and whenever I hear Adios I understand "goodbye ovarios" which in spanish is... well, ovaries 🗿(that I wouldn't mind if they left me being honest)
What's wrong with Bonbon's spelling? Is the song's title supposed to be good good chocolate? But I do agree otherwise, hearing random badly pronounced french words in kpop songs make me cringe so bad 😭 The worse though, is when they use english, spanish or french words that don't even make sense in the song, or do, but are grammatically incorrect. Sometimes, it's just the sentence that's cringey, and I die a little bit more inside everytime I hear it 🗿
@@Claire-td1ng it's supposed to be Bonbon Chocolat but it's Bon Bon Chocolat, which also has nothing to do with the song, as the next line is "go up to the sky" so it's a double offense
@@Claire-td1ng sorry for late reply! 😊 the title is supposed to be "candy chocolate". But in French, if you write "bon bon" instead of "bonbon", then the meaning is completely different. Bon bon = good good, like you said Bonbon = candy It's no big deal but I just wish they made the minimum effort to check the correct spelling before using it AS A TITLE 🥲 Long story short : they wrote "bon bon" instead of "bonbon" which changes the meaning of the title 🥲
As someone who would have gone to art school if my parents didn’t want me to “follow an actual career path”, every art teacher I’ve learned from and every art book I’ve studied from has always emphasized there being an odd number of objects in a frame. People are drawn to the center of a frame. If there’s no subject in the center, they go to the next closest thing. That’s when you start looking for patterns like symmetry. You can see groups like Gfriend constantly not being symmetrical in their formations to compensate for having an odd number of members. This isn’t an issue for line formations. But triangles, X-es, hexagons, etc can really be unappealing. And then companies compensate for this by choreographing dances to put members out of camera shot. And then that prompts the fans to be mad about their faves being hidden. Ultimately, 5, 7, and 9 are the ideal group member numbers in my opinion (not everyone can be 3YE). And 11, 13, 15, and so forth are just too chaotic at times because of how many people you have to pay attention to. Yes, y’all know two girl groups that have 12 members that fall into this category. So yeah, it’s common practice to make groups of odd numbers in order to avoid the problems I listed with groups containing an even number of members.
I can relate a lot with the bad grammar problem because as an Hispanic, I can't tell you how many times it has irritated me listening to Lisa said the word "loco" in Crazy Over You and the japanese version of Playing With Fire, especially knowing that she has always identified as she/her and already said multiple times she doesn't even like being call oppa. You are locA, Lisa. LO-CA!!! 💀 And can you imagine how I feel with ITZY's 'Loco'? 😭😭😭 I change the lyrics too when I'm singing those songs
Itzy's loco annoyed me so much! I adore this song and loca sounds better. My native language is portuguese and the word is almost the same, it would be so easy to fix!
The first time I ever googled the meaning of Army I almost died 😂...I don't tell anyone the full name...I let everyone believe that Army is literally an army for BTS 😂
Lmao that ARMY part is just funny pfft. It's low-key cute but it's really hard to explain when you're saying that to someone who doesn't know anything about Kpop lmfao 😩
It's not cute imo, it just sounds like they wanted to make the word army an acronym so badly and that's the only thing they came up with and it's so lame. I think it wasn't necessary at all because army sounds good as a fandom name, I don't get the need for it to stand for anything. When I learned it I was like WTF I'll pretend I haven't read this from now on 😅 And nothing personal, apart from army I'm also a moa ult and I also think that the meaning is terrible, alwaysness isn't even a word. Big hit definitely have some of the best creative teams but making good acronyms is where they draw the line it seems 🤭
I'm always torn on the number of members in a group. Like you I can't stand the dance formations of an even number. I love watching stages where there is an uneven number of members, it's just sooo satisfying! But in the same way I hate watching shows/other content with uneven groups, especially when the have to divide into groups. When a 7 member group divides into 2+2+3 or into 3+4, it irks me in a way I didn't know was possible... Ugh anyway haha love your vids!
I actually love even numbered groups because the choreographers have to get creative and it can actually look good. For example, lesserafim ot6 fearless and blue flame choreo. Only two things I hate is when they force themselves to do a triangle formation and one side is longer than the other, or members get put on the back constantly
itzy is honestly the best example for giving idols too much credit too early. everyone saw them as a holy grail for the first few years of their career, so when their music stopped hitting the mark for fans, they lost their minds. suddenly this flawless, untouchable image wasn't there and people don't know what to do with it.
Something that annoys me is the comment (usually under lyric videos) that goes "Why is no one talking about xyz". "Why is no one talking about how good this idol's voice is??" 'Why is no one talking about how much this idol improved??" It screams 'like' farming
i completely agree on the commenting about kpop when it isn't the topic of discussion ! there are moments were it's simply annoying but it can also be so insensitive. i saw a tweet from a stay relaying information about the itaewon tragedy, and in the comments, someone had the audacity to ask "does that mean skz won't be posting content ?" when first of all that was absolutely not the topic of discussion and secondly, how could you even think about that when we're talking about the deaths of hundred of people ?
Call 1-800-CryAboutIt, please make this a bumper sticker or t-shirt. And number 2 - I whole heartly agree with this one. 4 - The lightsticks complaint is 100% valid. I own the MAMAMOO lightstick and I still have to explain their lightstick to my non-kpop friends. And the survival show editing all together is why I don't watch them anymore. I can't stand it.
Agree so much about the even amount of members for formations 😂 the reason it bothers me so much is cause a member usually gets hidden during parts of the choreo 😕 I hate that cause I wanna see them all 🥲
as a dancer i get what you said about even numbered formations. but i can assure you they look great when the members are well utilized. the problem is that since in kpop the idols also have to sing and are supposed to have highlights some dances can seem a little weird formation-wise bc there has to be some sort of way to drive the attention to the person who's singing and make them stand out in a group, and that's why there are so many V formations
One behaviour that non toxic kpop fans do is putting family roles on groups, something about atiny calling Seonghwa the mom of the group feels bad to me, and idk if ppl call him mom bcuz he's the most caring or if bcuz he's the most delicade, gentle and """"feminine""""". Thats lowkey homophobic also, SH and HJ "are the parents of the group", and they're both mans, so both of them should be dads, but no, one of them has to be the mom. I feel like if i ever got a bf, I'll often hear the "who's the woman/mom" question, and it's already pissing me off
I also think this trend is problematic. Why can't a man be called the dad of the group if he's acting like a paternal figure ? It's okay to misgender yourself to joke, but doing the same thing to someone else is pretty questionable. My comment also targets the fact that many ARMYs often misgender Jin and Jimin because they are "feminine" (what's the point of calling them "princesses" instead of "princes" ?).
EXACTLY it's so annoying Like why can't they both be the dads You know like the dad friends in the group Idk why every associates femininity with females only
@@bellsgotitnowft exactly. Idk why they have to be the parents, if ppl want to put family roles on them, why not older brothers? Usually, the older sibling (when they're not assholes) they care a lot about the younger ones while joking around, and that fit ateez very well for exemple, san and woo would never act like they do to seonghwa with theyre mom, but most likely to their siblings
@@dgls127 AGREED!!! San wooyoung and seonghwa's relationship seem more like two younger brothers annoying a older brother I'm sorry but these family role titles like mom , dad , baby , uncle , aunty mailman ,teacher , etc etc. Are just so annoying and cringe 😭
@@bellsgotitnowft agree, i only like these family roles on skz, where the maknaes are the grandparents, where chris is foive and where han cheats on hyunjin with minho
fearnots saying lesserafim's discography was one of the best in kpop before they had their first comeback and now they're saying it again PLS lessera doesn't even have like 10 songs
Why can’t kpop fans make memes in their mother tongues? This may sound horrible but hear me out. Anyone learning a language can vouch that one of the hardest things to try and do in a language, that isn’t your first, is convey humour and sarcasm etc. The amount of times I’ve had to face palm reading a blink post something like a picture of Jennie wearing some sunglasses or something and the caption be like “me when my mum makes me have to not go school when I say yes to no”. Like my love… I’m sure you are a hoot in your own language so why not play to your strengths. Cos I just feel pity cos I’m always rooting for people who don’t speak English fluently but let’s be real if ur a blink ur already not funny and then the joke doesn’t even make sense …. Lawd.
i feel this at an emotional level!! my first language is spanish and the amount of kpop memes and funny videos in spanish between 3rd gen and early 4th gen were top tier, but now there's bearly any T-T
I think yes in some cases the safety shorts are only there to put an indol into a long shit and all it a dress, but we've seen NewJeans members and Eunchae lately wearing safety shorts that are longer than usual ones and I think they're becoming a fashion choice. More like almost a biker shorts under a skirt. I think it looks great, i've been dressing my sims like that 🤣Also I think now, the stylists whant to hop on that mini skirt trend so I'm actually glad the safety shorts ale longer and you can see them cuz most of the idols now are younger, so I think the fact that you can see safety shorts even when they're standing, it stops the weird 30yo man in the crowd imagination a little, or at least I hope so... 😵💫
I honestly got used to the messed up grammar pretty quickly because it was in a lot of of songs but I definitely understand you cuz sometimes I just be so confused (and it's kinda funny how I used to try and justify it by thinking like 'oh they switch up the grammar to make it flow better even though it doesn't 💀💀)
Cuz honestly that one part in aespa's dream come true took me out💀 and I don't remember which dreamcatcher song it was but Siyeon said "just wanna be find you" and it threw me off so bad
Omg the grammar thing is one of my biggest pet peeves with kpop. I can never take a song that's supposed to be like, mature, and serious... seriously. Songs that have a more energetic and silly vibe with bad grammar is fine. But when Ravi from VIXX comes at us with some of his parts in their songs with more serious concepts, I just cant help but giggle.
also YES about the bad english grammar. how can you as a multi million company not hire ONE person to correct the english in songs and coach the idols' pronunciation?? if you cant afford that, just make a fully korean song. i feel like moonlight sunrise is one of the the only kpop songs with proper english grammar and pronunciation and the difference is REALLY noticeable
-When a K-pop mv teaser gives away the whole chorus -No bridge (some K-pop songs are exceptions) -aegyo, sometimes K-pop idols do aegyo and I actually find it funny but sometimes it’s way too forced and I don’t hate the idols for it I just cringe -When people say “if you don’t know this song or this choreo don’t call yourself a K-pop fan” like I’ve been a stay for so long but I still don’t know a lot of their songs, but it doesn’t mean I am not a fan -this isn’t just kpop but when someone says they don’t like a song and people in the comments are judging them saying they have no taste. People like and dislike different things -When people say full English K-pop songs are for western validation. I’m not so sure about this maybe some K-pop songs that are in English are for western validation but I doubt it. Like even a full chorus in English , it doesn’t always have to be because they want the group to go viral on tik tok or smt
Going off the thing about lightsticks: why do they make lightsticks not look like lightsticks??? iKON has a bat, Cherry Bullet has a gun, and ITZY has a ring. This is not Tron Legacy JYP!
You are so right!! I totally agree!!! I AM DYING OF LAUGHTER though, but some lightsticks be hella ugly and I have only bought 3 which were the mong mongie, lightiny, and Alexa's which is signed. I only have those ones because they are in my ult groups and the lightsticks are super pretty and the other one is just signed by Alexa so it's special. Bad grammar for English parts pisses me off so much! I’m like that’s now how its supposed to go but its not going to change.
I am still listening to your videos during work, and this one was super fun. I agree with EVERYTHING, and just listening to you rant about stuff that irk me, too, was super cathartic.
it depends on the situation but when an idol leaves or is kicked out of a group and people keep bringing it up in every single thing that the group does LIKE BROOOOO
Hope people don't accuse me of hating soojin but the way gidle stans ALWAYS try to find clues of how they are referencing something, ngl sometimes it actually seems like they were, but good lord not every time
I have one. It pissed me off when stylists gives idols clothes that makes them looks the clothes are wearing them. Like sometime they looks like a stick underneath the clothes and it’s bothers me. Some stylists needs stop depending on the idols body to make everything look good and actually do their job right.
I wonder if ARMY was also like, a double entendre? Like, yeah, adorable MC whatever, but also the group name is Bulletproof Boys(couts). Army and Bulletproof goes really well together.
Honestly even formations still have a lot of potentials. I used to be in a dance group of 8 members and I almost always liked the formations we were given, but I guess they’re maybe not as good for a lot of the things Kpop has in their choreos. Also I get you with the pfp mine is weird and people ask all the time (it’s the flag of Djibouti btw). I do get sup-rappers tho, it at least shows which members say the two sentences, cause even if everyone is capable to do so, not everyone will.
stay with me.. but wigs in kpop annoy me more often than not. like most of the time they’re just not good wigs, they’re blocky and stiff and i just wanna rip it off those gorgeous peoples heads. like i’m sorry but jennies blonde wig in KTL era teasers still haunts my dreams. some of these companies are just so damn rich you’d think they’d be able to afford a good wig
I totally understand if an idol cannot speak proper English, but in a SONG, somebody got a help you to make the song, how can the grammar be so bad if you have the time so search and ask people so no excuses.
İ hate it when groups (red velvet i am looking at you) don't have dance practice videos, like sometimes i just want to look at the dance moves especially if i want to learn the choreo. On the other side, when there are multiple versions of choreos, i just get so lost like wth is purpose of that⁉️ Anyways love you and just keep going👄🍄
GRASHAS HAHA SORRY CHERYL I DIED. My first language is Spanish and Everytime and Idol say something spanish whit bad pronunciation I laugh, cause they sound so fucking funny. Grashas 😭 sounds like me talking in a dumb way to my boyfriend The editing in survivals show I hate it. I like watching survival shows, I HATE IT WHEN THEY REPEAT THE SAME THING FOR 2 MINS STRAIGHT. This happened to me in MTG, a girl has a voice crack and it was horrible but 😭 they repeatedly show that with sounds and a lot of thing and zooms and i was like shut the fk up im trying to hear the chaewon highs note in I, no the voice crack
Here’s things that make me mad even that aren’t kpop related: “Stay mad”/“cry about it”/“didn’t ask” - like wow.. I’m not gonna ask you to be nice but at the very least don’t be so rude or rude at all.. like holy moly some ppl have no respect for strangers Trying to claim things as “plagarism” - esp nmixx… idk why this became a thing but for their 2 eras (ad mare/O.O and entwurf/dice) soo many people have claimed it as plagarism.. reveluvs, orbits, exo-ls, ateez fans, blinks, mys, midzys, and I’m sure that’s not all.. like excuse me? And the similarities that YOU see make it “””””plagarism””””” and they even still boycott nmixx to this day not even bc of music or anything just bc they claim their faves got robbed.. ppl who start videos like “I don’t NORMALLY make negative videos” or “pls don’t send hate to anyone in this video” but then have mostly negative videos and hate on idols - I feel like this happens a lot without ppl noticing… I’m not trying to throw shade but there’s one yter that I can think of that does this a lot and it just confused me… “___ paved the way” - why can’t we just never discuss this question? Like there’s not even a real answer “___ apologized/learned” and/or “that was a long time ago” - for the 1st one, there’s no way to even tell that they’ve learned 💀 and if they did apologize then why do I not see any apology or mention of it..? For the 2nd one: it doesn’t matter how long ago it happened… if someone committed a crime a year ago, would the consequences be different if they committed the crime 5 years ago? Edit: I forgot to say this one oml: Childish nicknames - I remember seeing my 9yo sister’s bts book and on the cover it said things like “our little sunshine” or “our little savage” and stuff and I can’t help but be weirded out… first of all, “our”??? And second of all why act like they’re a toddler 😭 Another one I forgot: religiously following a group/idol - I’ve seen this a lot with stays and armys… and I’m talking about the people who look up to the members (specifically rm and I think his name is bang Chan) like gods.. I’ve seen people say that they only do things “because ___ told me too” Another I forgot lol: saying that a group changed their life - this kinda goes with the one above but ppl say that the lyrics are so life changing when they say something like “love yourself” as if it’s not on every single item bought by a mom who uses at least one social media app 😭
yk what, this makes me super grateful that kpop isn’t revolved around the whole “official group color” thing anymore. at least, i don’t see that being reported on. i very much remember the fanwars over a new group using a 2nd gen’s official color and bruh, it’s a COLOR.
I hate it when fans get their Idols gifts that are worth like $20,000 like why would you do that? Don't you have something better to do with all that money. Just to get a gift for your favourite Idol I know that they don't mean any harm and that is their decision but still WHY!?
The formation thing is mostly 6 and 8-member group being given 5 or 7-member choreos. Ive's producers have done this soooo many times it irks me. On the rap title I would go even further: positions are harmful to groups and a fan upholding them are the most toxic. Especially the "what if*group name* had positions". Stop. Oh, and Visual is not a position. Last minute edit: I hate that new releases are called comeback. They're not coming back from a hiatus and most of the time they released a single 3-6 months ago. They barely finished promoting last single and doing some concert
Okay so here's one non toxic thing in Kpop that always manages to piss me off: moving dance practice videos. I wanna learn the goddamn dance, I'm trying to make a cover for youtube, will you just make a video in one cut, that doesn't move around so I can't the member who's part I'm learning (if it's a group), and doesn't close up so goddamn much that now I can't see the member's legs?! Like I'm trying to learn your new dance and the amount of cuts (that don't even line up with each other sometimes) and close ups make me so fricking confused, I don't wanna improvise the transition from one move from another, or what ever the artist does with their legs, I don't wanna improvise what ever the member who's part I'm learning is doing 'cause I can't see them! "BuT iT's AeStHeTiCaLlY pLeAsInG" First things first you're filming this in a standard dance studio, your artist's outfits are the plainest of the plain and the shittiest of the shitty, you want an aesthetic dance video take them to a filming studio or something like in Yeji's river dance video, with proper pretty lighting, have their stylists provide them proper clothing that fit the theme of the song, have their makeup artists do their makeup and their hairstylist do their hair, have a day of filming this specific dance video, have the editors properly edit this video, voila an aesthetically pleasing dance video for your artists. Second thing is IDGAF if it is aesthetically pleasing or not, I'm learning the dance not watching your goddamn music video, one is supposed to be aesthetic the other isn't, a good quality dance practice video is one where you can see the choreo clearly, see the whole artist and what their doing, if I can't see whatever the frick they're doing with their legs this is not a high quality dance practice video but a low quality dance video, as again referring to my previous point it looks like shit, and no I'm not apologizing it's the truth you need to hear it. Third thing is, remember in my first point I said 'dance video' not 'dance practice video' that's because some of these companies don't understand the difference between a dance practice video and a dance video, I sound like a karen saying this but if I can't see all of the dance in the video, if the angles constantly shift, if I can't see members that are not behind any other member, if I can't legs or the arms that's not a dance practice video it is a dance video, if you wanna make a dance video be my guest, I really like a lot of them, but A. don't call it a dance practice video call it a dance video, if I can't learn or practice the dance using the video it's not a dance practice video, it's a dance video. B. at least make a dance practice video to go alongside the dance video, a video in the studio taken in one cut, where the angles don't constantly shift, that doesn't have tons of close ups, where I can see the dance clearly, if you want people to know the dance then have a video where they can learn the dance, even if certain moves like legs move don't seem to crucial 'cause they're simple, I still wanna see them so I know the exact move, I don't wanna go to other videos of performances, fancams, dance covers etc. just to find out what they did with their legs there.
The survival show editing is what I agree with the most 😐like I just wanna watch a performance without any reaction like with kingdom 2 vocal performances or gp999 my sea performances
I agree with the editing opinion. Its super annoying because a lot of the footwork is super cool, but they insist on zooming in on their hands or upper body. For example, during Enhypen's Future Perfect promotions, I always looked forward to the microphone movement they do because they footwork is insane. BUT NO, they decide lets zoom in really close on Heeseungs hand. Like bruh, seriously✋
imo 6 members is my ideal amount for girl groups… i just got beaten in with pixy, billlie at debut, ive, lesserafim at debut, gfriend, apink, soooo many of my fav groups have been 6 members. 5-7 are also good, and i do like bigger groups like wjsn but its harder for me to be as interested in all the members. i also like even numbered groups bc they can group up into even subunits (edit: i forgot stayc and everglow 😭 goes to show how many good 6 member groups there are these days)
I agree!! I remember watching the trailer for 5 stars by skz. bangchan’s eyes were right in front of the camera and I screamed “WHAT IN THE HOLY GUACAMOLE DID THE PEOPLE DO TO YOU. YOUR EYES… WHAT THE-“
What kpop companies say: sub-rapper What kpop companies mean: this person is a great dancer/ has great stage presence but can’t sing to save their lives
This is a bit tangent to number 2, but I think it's annoying when people flood a non kpop artist's song comment section with comments about an idol just because they covered it or something like I get the artist would appreciate that the cover gave them exposure but that kind of spam behavior is disrespectful. At least leave an appreciative remark if you liked the song The bad grammar one also irks me a lot and I'm also not native in English and know that I make mistakes too but it's like once you hear it you can't unhear it. Like I still love the song but it still irks me. Especially in some cases where a correct sentence could also fit well in the melody it's like "you could just say it like this" 😬 Also 100% suscribe the whole rant about safety shorts and survival show editing.
Unpopular opinion: not every kpop group needs a rapper or a rap part in a song AT ALL.
YESS THANK YOU !!
I am looking at sunmis "You can't sit with us".... like we didn't need that rap , sunmi didn't need that rap, the whole universe didn't need that shit 😭
I think this is the popular opinion these days… at least, it’s also my opinion
YES ! You find a good song then they ruin it with some unnecessary rap that sounds so cringe and out of tune !
The only type of Rapping I'm fine with is Jinni's Melodic Rap in Cool ( Your Rainbow )'s 2nd Verse
I WISH THAT WASN'T UNPOPULAR. i hate to say this but i can't listen to 99% of girl group songs or exo's discography because the rappers are terrible. i always hear exo has an amazing discography but i'm not sitting through chanyeol, sehun & kai's dumpster fire
i hate it when i look at the comments on a music video and it's just those spam comments like
"they are not just an idol"
"they are actually multitalented" etc.
i want to see people's opinions on the song, the video, actual critical thinking and taking apart and analysing it, or even just people enjoying it
not "x group never disappoints"
THIS. It came to this point that I literally grew tired of coming to the comment section...
HONESTLY IT IS SO ANNOYING
I swear every time I see “___ never disappoints” I ready to slam my head against a wall. Like, ugh what is the point of this statement.
MY GOD THIS.
They do it for the easy likes
I hate when I watch a clearly pre-recorded performance and people are praising the "stable vocals" on the comments and if you dare to point out the obvious fact that they are not singing live they reply "just because your fav can't sing live doesn't mean it has to be pre-recorded" like no??? they're just not singing live and that's ok no big deal but don't try to deny it 😭😭
Ikr ?
no frrr and it's even worse when it's one of those videos where the members are just standing and singing but their vocals are slathered in pitch correction and the stans eat it up thinking this is what live vocals sound like 😭
You gotta have guts of steel to say they aren't singing live coz those cringe Stans will get you cancelled
Thiiiisss! I usually can tell rich
Got away when something is prerecorded or even if it’s live the backtrack is obviously louder and as soon as I go to the comments “damn she sounds amazing, Omg queens of stability” and the ones that talk about how they can hit a note perfectly while doing a really hard dance move like …. Come on … don’t be dumb~
Most comeback stages have the vocals edited which is fine idc I’m just here to enjoy the song not look for a whole broadway performance

I still remember the Irene rap in red flavor japanese ver.
"Candy girl, cookie girl, chocolate girl" 💀
It's definitely getting too out of hand, but I like when some idols acknowledge that and make it parodic on purpose, because even if the performance as a whole looks great, if you think about it that part is a bit cringey.
me too 😭 i just smile awkwardly like
This made me think of Jake’s ending fairy 😂
I look away from the screen everytime
I always skipped that part lmfao made me cringed fsr
i personally DESPISE kpop mv's comment sections at this point. no one seems to have anything interesting to say, they just spam the whole thing with the exact. same. comments. regardless of the artist, the exact same thing, copy-and-pasted, *every single time and everywhere* i just can't-
like, "___ best boy" or "qUEENS" or "stream hard guys let's get xxxx zillions views!!!!" or "this is a BOP" (omfg i hate that word with a passion) or any other stupid shallow blurbs that usually don't have anything to do with the video. also a bunch of overused fandom memes that stopped being funny 50 years ago. it makes me feel like these fans didn't even listen to the song and just rush to the comments bc 'it's gonna be good anyway i need to support the artist". maybe it's another weird number thing idk. you wanna support your faves ? that's fine, me too, but could we at least have some meaningful discussion ? debate our opinions about this particular comeback, what we like and don't like about it ? how it made us feel ? please i will literally lose my mind at some point.
You have no idea how much I agree with you
So true...Like the comment section is nothing just everyone is saying the same thing. Seems like bunch of immature people are talking, nothing about music🤦
they're so overused and every mv has the exact same comments😭
Literally!!!!, can't emphasize enough!!!!
frrrrr its so irritating 😭 mv comment sections are where all the npcs seem to gather for some reason
It bothers me so much when companies that obviously have the budget to hire good graphic designers and stylists end up with the ugliest album covers, outfits, logos, lightsticks, etc. Do not tell me they seriously sat around a table and were like "wow that looks so good let's use that."
YESSS especially groups from big companies like bffr we all know you have enough money to dress your idols better
*chokes* IVE *chokes*
When they say things like “this group never disappoints” or “___ doesn’t know this but he makes everyone’s day better” I just cringe 😂
Reminds me of SSSniperWolf’s comment sections 😂
I hate when Stans say Queen
Like the idols are doing nothing but just be standing in most encore stages or fan videos and Stans will go
"Yaaaaas Queen 😘😩😩😩" that's how I get my day ruined 😀

When will Korean producers realise that you can’t just freestyle a language. Like the pronunciations of words in Spanish and English etc AREN’T SUGGESTIONS to help you make your own little fun word. I don’t think it’s problematic in the slightest to tell people who are literally getting paid to write these songs to do a 5 second search on Google translate or even ask someone of the language if the sentence is grammatical. “Goodbye Avorios” what do you mean??? I almost had a stroke reading how the subtitles were saying “goodbye au revoir adios”
Omg I can't listen to adios without laughing bc of that also when listening for the 1st time to Nmixx 1st song "baila baila" is not BALA BALA
@@ChloeBx what about baila baila?
thought i was the only one, it bothered me so much especially as someone who used to study french
thisss!! also as far as i know Korean doesn't really have fixed stressed vowels in words, so sure, stress whatever syllable suits the song, but i HATEE when they try to do that with English, like in Nxde by G-idle (which is already a mess of a song) when Soyeon says 'self-made woman' it sounds like 'self-made man' bc she barely pronounces 'wo' and stresses 'man'. itzy's English versions have a lot of that too, either stressing the wrong syllable or going through the word SO quickly bc the whole phrase is too long (Nxde: why you think THAT 'bout nude, where 'that' is just 'th' so it sounds like straight up stuttering when the next word is also shortened to start with a consonant).
@@pengthepenguinpeng they could be saying it like bai but with it being fast it sounds like ba?
Okay here's one that PISSES me off: When a group's albums all look so different that I can't display them normally on a shelf without it looking like a junkyard. I just like it when there's at least a glimpse of thematic cohesion, at least for a few comebacks, maybe same size albums so I can line them up neatly? This is especially bad when the different versions for a SINGLE release are so different, and I'm like what the fuck were you thinking. 😂
this! at this point I display by color code but it still looks clunky to me
This is why I appreciate Dreamcatchers design team so much
The size of the albums is what annoys me. Every other album I own can be displayed neatly on the shelves, even the limited edition albums I have. But then you get to the k-pop albums and theres no cohesive way to display these.
twice albums are so amusingly not uniform
I have this problem with Rocket Punch 😭
Idk if this should go in the toxic category but: fandoms who take a clip of two members interacting and make the BIGGEST deal out of it. Like yeah they held hands because they’re FRIENDS Samantha it’s not that deep 😭 the fandom I’m in does it excessively on tiktok and I cringe everytime I see those damn edits 💀

The english one is so true ugh, English is also not my first language but I'm an English major so it bothers me to no end... it's to the point I've rewritten some English lyrics in my head, like in Loona's PTT I'll think "Is the moon in disguise" or "we'll take it to the moon" instead of whatever nonsense the lyricists pulled up
When I was learning English it annoyed me and now that I live in a place where I speak it constantly it bothers me even moreee
@@AlM22 that's shame because I love rookie, but I can understand it might be annoying because of that

Here's a way to say it "A nickname is not a good excuse for you're Fandom's behavior"
That’s why I never understand when Blinks say Blonks cuz aren’t they in your fandom gurl? The least a qualified fan of a band can do is support them or stream their songs and even toxic fans fulfill this category. So yeah, that also irks me somehow.
I agree which is why I love seeing when fandoms correct other people in their fandoms
like YES tell people how they act on the internet (will sadly get them consequences~) in a kind, adament manner but I guess people just don’t want to think that their fandom has toxic people in it which is also understandable.
fans don’t want to acknowledge “toxic” behavior bc they condone it
Omg i swear, i always see someone make a whole paragraph about their thought process and making really good points about non-kpop content, and then the replies are just filled with "omg a lisa stan"
Now, that annoying
Tbh this happens most w armies and blinks and it’s just annoying atp
someone will have a bts member as their pfp and the replies will be "OMG ARMY!!" like they arent the biggest kpop fandom. like ,,,, jeez
Kpop stans really believe that the only thing we love is kpop 💀 Like we also have other interests ok, kpop isn't the only thing we like.

Also, the logos are something I'm bother more than lightsticks, idk i just think they could have put more effort into (sorry but LE SSERAFIM im looking at you like who designed the logo HYBE do better)

We could’ve had cherubs but noooooo
I agree with the formation thing 100%. That is why I am so glad red velvet added Yeri, It allows them to give nice and symmetrical formations which are much nicer. Imo 4 member groups aren't too bad since they don't have too many members, but it is really awk in 6 member groups when one person is standing behind the one in center and is basically invisible.
I always thought of the sub-rapper position as the “substitute rapper.”
Someone who raps once in awhile in a song like Momo, Joy, or Jisoo.
Let's just pretend that sub-rapper means that 💀💀
I always thought it was a substitute rap position that is used from time to time. Like, the sub-rapper gets some rap lines here and there and overall has the least amount of raps in songs. I thought they are usually the support for both vocals and rap.
Joy is a lead rapper tho?
@KayBee Faceless no, it's the equivalent of subvocal
@@seulgitastic05 yeah I think it’s the opposite. She’s a sub vocalist but lead rapper.
for me two things are:
1. repetitive comments claiming everyone in the group is an allrounder like 'this group has x visuals x singers x rappers etc.' like, there are very few groups where every member is an allrounder, so these comments are kinda annoying. doubly annoying when it just makes Zero sense
like, with xdinary heroes' new comeback, there are comments like '6 singers, 6 rappers, 6 dancers, 6 visuals' and i'm ???? because, while i don't know everything about that group, i do know that they aren't dancers so why not at least leave that part out?
2. the chat in live streams. this problem is not exclusive to kpop, but, as with most things, i feel like it's amplified in kpop. i don't tune in to many live streams in general, but the chat is always so off topic. and i don't know why it bothers me so much, but it really does. especially those comments like 'can you date me? say i love you. go get/where is x member? what do you think about x ship? do you like x other group? etc.'
I have found my people.
Yes especially people asking for other members. Or saying🥳😔🥰😮💨😮💨🫤💖 or OPPA saraghae like T^T
like I watch live streams after lol so that way I don’t get distracted by the live chat
Ugh true! Some stage outfits are really distracting when you look at the whole group and then you see this one outfit like (but the idol somehow always manages to pull it off🥰)
about the safety shorts (as a stylist) my guess is there could be a couple of reasons:
1- the kink koreans seem to have with shorts/mini skirts. for ex. a plaid mini skirt, reminiscent of a school uniform can look "sexy" to people with this kink even if it has a safety short.
2- the piece of clothing is designer so they might not want to alter it thus using the safety shorts and
3- (most common imo) the stylists are lazy and prefer to just give everyone safety shorts instead of costumizing the outfit

So true!!!

they need critics for awards like those ones instead of voting 💀💀💀
@@kay1561 yes, something like best group or favorite group can be from voting because its still relevant but like best mv or best song or best dance, that need expert for that 👀

WTF, I'm French myself and I have never ever understood that 😭 I thought they were saying "have" (which was weird enough but stupid English sentences are a given in Kpop😅)
But to play devil's advocate, "Déjà vu" is a word the English stole us and their pronunciation of the word is more like "Déjà-vous", so I guess it's the pronunciation Kpop groups are going with
I'm Chilenian and whenever I hear Adios I understand "goodbye ovarios" which in spanish is... well, ovaries 🗿(that I wouldn't mind if they left me being honest)
What's wrong with Bonbon's spelling? Is the song's title supposed to be good good chocolate?
But I do agree otherwise, hearing random badly pronounced french words in kpop songs make me cringe so bad 😭
The worse though, is when they use english, spanish or french words that don't even make sense in the song, or do, but are grammatically incorrect.

Long story short : they wrote "bon bon" instead of "bonbon" which changes the meaning of the title 🥲
18 minutes and 32 seconds of Cheryl just venting and honestly I’m here for that 😂😂
i like even numbered choreographies, especially the 6 member choreographies. maybe that's just because i love gfriend choreographies

"Why is no one talking about how good this idol's voice is??"
'Why is no one talking about how much this idol improved??"
It screams 'like' farming
i completely agree on the commenting about kpop when it isn't the topic of discussion ! there are moments were it's simply annoying but it can also be so insensitive. i saw a tweet from a stay relaying information about the itaewon tragedy, and in the comments, someone had the audacity to ask "does that mean skz won't be posting content ?" when first of all that was absolutely not the topic of discussion and secondly, how could you even think about that when we're talking about the deaths of hundred of people ?

EXACTLY it's so annoying

why are we blinks not funny?
this comment made me giggle so much "im sure you are a hoot in your own language" 😭ur so right tho
U can be a 30 year old man and be a normal fan. And they’re just shorts
it's a legit trend, i do this.
I’m so glad you mentioned the even member group dance formations because same. I though I was alone in thinking like that 🤧
And that's on Once being an adorable AND matching fandom name
Heyyyy I'm early again 😜 "It looks like something that belongs on Five Nights at Freddy's" 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
She is so right 🤣🤣🤣🤣👻👻.
But cheryl got fking point 🤣🤣🤣🤌🤌
“IT LOOKS LIKE SOMETHING THAT BELONGS ON FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDYS”
😭
AAVE is literally BAD english, but you ok with it?
@@Santia5a AAVE is an English dialect/variety spoken by mostly lower class African Americans. There's so much more to it than "bad English"
-When a K-pop mv teaser gives away the whole chorus
-No bridge (some K-pop songs are exceptions)
-aegyo, sometimes K-pop idols do aegyo and I actually find it funny but sometimes it’s way too forced and I don’t hate the idols for it I just cringe
-When people say “if you don’t know this song or this choreo don’t call yourself a K-pop fan” like I’ve been a stay for so long but I still don’t know a lot of their songs, but it doesn’t mean I am not a fan
-this isn’t just kpop but when someone says they don’t like a song and people in the comments are judging them saying they have no taste. People like and dislike different things
-When people say full English K-pop songs are for western validation.
How many times I laughed out loud during this video! Also Wonho...I can't say your fandom name, I love you, you sweat bean, but no.
it depends on the situation but when an idol leaves or is kicked out of a group and people keep bringing it up in every single thing that the group does LIKE BROOOOO
Hope people don't accuse me of hating soojin but the way gidle stans ALWAYS try to find clues of how they are referencing something, ngl sometimes it actually seems like they were, but good lord not every time
@@Aarzoo-kw4gr i was referencing that😭 but yea.
I do get sup-rappers tho, it at least shows which members say the two sentences, cause even if everyone is capable to do so, not everyone will.
super off topic but this womans intros are chefs kiss, im never skipping them
stay with me.. but wigs in kpop annoy me more often than not. like most of the time they’re just not good wigs, they’re blocky and stiff and i just wanna rip it off those gorgeous peoples heads. like i’m sorry but jennies blonde wig in KTL era teasers still haunts my dreams. some of these companies are just so damn rich you’d think they’d be able to afford a good wig
Good thing you weren’t a 2nd gen stan 💀😭
This is so truee omg. I saw people saying that you can never skip a new jeans song and that they always slay. They have 4 songs. Calm down.
i would love to see a video of your personal opinions(tier-list?) of lightsticks.
i hate when ppl say:"_ has no bad songs" as a multistan, every group has has atleast a few bad songs. doesnt mean that they r untalented, its normal.
That one is just subjective tho
@@nuages8915 wdym?
@@hggadahdaiwrsdjgadjs people can genuinely think a group has no bad songs, you can't really say theyre wrong because its about their preference
@@nuages8915 ik but im just saying i dont agree. especially when they say it to groups who recently debuted and have like 5 songs
GRASHAS HAHA SORRY CHERYL I DIED. My first language is Spanish and Everytime and Idol say something spanish whit bad pronunciation I laugh, cause they sound so fucking funny. Grashas 😭 sounds like me talking in a dumb way to my boyfriend
The editing in survivals show I hate it.
Here’s things that make me mad even that aren’t kpop related:
“Stay mad”/“cry about it”/“didn’t ask” - like wow.. I’m not gonna ask you to be nice but at the very least don’t be so rude or rude at all.. like holy moly some ppl have no respect for strangers
Trying to claim things as “plagarism” - esp nmixx… idk why this became a thing but for their 2 eras (ad mare/O.O and entwurf/dice) soo many people have claimed it as plagarism.. reveluvs, orbits, exo-ls, ateez fans, blinks, mys, midzys, and I’m sure that’s not all.. like excuse me? And the similarities that YOU see make it “””””plagarism””””” and they even still boycott nmixx to this day not even bc of music or anything just bc they claim their faves got robbed..
ppl who start videos like “I don’t NORMALLY make negative videos” or “pls don’t send hate to anyone in this video” but then have mostly negative videos and hate on idols - I feel like this happens a lot without ppl noticing… I’m not trying to throw shade but there’s one yter that I can think of that does this a lot and it just confused me…
“___ paved the way” - why can’t we just never discuss this question? Like there’s not even a real answer
“___ apologized/learned” and/or “that was a long time ago” - for the 1st one, there’s no way to even tell that they’ve learned 💀 and if they did apologize then why do I not see any apology or mention of it..? For the 2nd one: it doesn’t matter how long ago it happened… if someone committed a crime a year ago, would the consequences be different if they committed the crime 5 years ago?
Edit: I forgot to say this one oml:
Childish nicknames - I remember seeing my 9yo sister’s bts book and on the cover it said things like “our little sunshine” or “our little savage” and stuff and I can’t help but be weirded out… first of all, “our”??? And second of all why act like they’re a toddler 😭
Another one I forgot: religiously following a group/idol - I’ve seen this a lot with stays and armys… and I’m talking about the people who look up to the members (specifically rm and I think his name is bang Chan) like gods.. I’ve seen people say that they only do things “because ___ told me too”
Another I forgot lol: saying that a group changed their life - this kinda goes with the one above but ppl say that the lyrics are so life changing when they say something like “love yourself” as if it’s not on every single item bought by a mom who uses at least one social media app 😭
yk what, this makes me super grateful that kpop isn’t revolved around the whole “official group color” thing anymore. at least, i don’t see that being reported on. i very much remember the fanwars over a new group using a 2nd gen’s official color and bruh, it’s a COLOR.
"BuT iT's AeStHeTiCaLlY pLeAsInG"
First things first you're filming this in a standard dance studio, your artist's outfits are the plainest of the plain and the shittiest of the shitty, you want an aesthetic dance video take them to a filming studio or something like in Yeji's river dance video, with proper pretty lighting, have their stylists provide them proper clothing that fit the theme of the song, have their makeup artists do their makeup and their hairstylist do their hair, have a day of filming this specific dance video, have the editors properly edit this video, voila an aesthetically pleasing dance video for your artists.
14:11 You might not like Indian dramas because the zooming and the repetition is literally 🤯🤯😂 😂
For example, during Enhypen's Future Perfect promotions, I always looked forward to the microphone movement they do because they
footwork is insane. BUT NO, they decide lets zoom in really close on Heeseungs hand. Like bruh, seriously✋
And now safety shorts are the main outfits 😭
imo 6 members is my ideal amount for girl groups… i just got beaten in with pixy, billlie at debut, ive, lesserafim at debut, gfriend, apink, soooo many of my fav groups have been 6 members. 5-7 are also good, and i do like bigger groups like wjsn but its harder for me to be as interested in all the members. i also like even numbered groups bc they can group up into even subunits (edit: i forgot stayc and everglow 😭 goes to show how many good 6 member groups there are these days)
I love 6 member groups aswell :)
I agree!! I remember watching the trailer for 5 stars by skz. bangchan’s eyes were right in front of the camera and I screamed “WHAT IN THE HOLY GUACAMOLE DID THE PEOPLE DO TO YOU. YOUR EYES… WHAT THE-“
What kpop companies say: sub-rapper
What kpop companies mean: this person is a great dancer/ has great stage presence but can’t sing to save their lives
For me, my pet peve is when large companies who have the budget don't put subtitles on videos
This is a bit tangent to number 2, but I think it's annoying when people flood a non kpop artist's song comment section with comments about an idol just because they covered it or something like I get the artist would appreciate that the cover gave them exposure but that kind of spam behavior is disrespectful. At least leave an appreciative remark if you liked the song
The bad grammar one also irks me a lot and I'm also not native in English and know that I make mistakes too but it's like once you hear it you can't unhear it. Like I still love the song but it still irks me. Especially in some cases where a correct sentence could also fit well in the melody it's like "you could just say it like this" 😬
Also 100% suscribe the whole rant about safety shorts and survival show editing.
