He is diverse, and rock is just part of him.
Actually his working studio had just create a now account in Ins and TH-cam, like ten days ago. None of his working groups had realized it before.
I think he likes to be called a rocker because I heard this in a TV show, where a girl asked him if he sings rock and he answered "my songs are rock and roll".

Hua is a huge fan of stadium rock, he loves audience participation, if he wants the audience to participate he will write the part for them in advance. Martians are the fans who like to sing most I've ever seen🤣🤣🤣
The rebel spirit in his lyrics is more refer to personal things, e.g. be yourself, don't be afraid if you are different from others, instead of being discriminated by the world, why not fight against it with me? There is little thing about gov or authorities so this is totally OK in China😅😅😅

Though many singers say they are not pleased poeple but do themself and do for their own music, they actually act very arrogant. But Hua is, on the other hand, very humble and polite. He does his own music but also respect others. That's why people think highly of him!

Love your enthusiasm . Hua was a mentor for the last 2 years for the boys. This year he's mentoring girls. He's a tough mentor and challenges them to go outside of the box as you can imagine. Hope you continue to react to many more of his performances.

Do you know Dimash Kudaïbergen and Hua Chenyu have now, since recently, the same producer in China, a woman, an original artist on her own : Shang Winjie - called Laure Shang in Occident. There’s a video of her singing with Dimash in a tribute to Michael Jackson !
He has a LOT of people who just hate him in China It has taken him a few years for him 2 get the nod fr the citizens in China.
That being said, he is getting there quicker this past year after he competed in “I am a singer” in 2018.

He and Dimashi (who competed in the same competition but in 2017) r the top 2 greatest acts out there right now.
Dimashi is a lot diff than Hua Chenyu but he is rated THE BEST IN THE WORLD for his technique and range. 6 octaves. Does the hugest whistle ever. Just listen to “SOS” “Opera2”. Hell any song and he just shocks u every time. Literally Def not rock though he does do sone M Jackson tributes.

I've witnessed lots of singers but very few artists and Chenyu is 1 of them, he is more than just a singer but a true artist! The BEST artist / musician / performer / composer / storyteller through songs and music on stage in the world, no 1 can make me feel things like he does! The only artist so far that I like ALL of his songs!

Loved what you said about Hua Chenyu as a true rocker! I really appreciate and understand when he said that rock music can best express one's strong emotions! He is masterful in commanding the stage and few people can do it so well! The original version of Aliens (this one here is a re-edited for this stage/show) is also great! Please check out another Aliens performance sometime later!

To be honest, as a Chinese, I really don't think so. Not many Chinese are interested in politics at all. They're more pragmatic. They can sing whatever they want except for overturning the government. But to critique is totally ok and alright. Many social activists and professors as well as artists are critiquing in different ways. They are not living in a world as Western MSM portrays.

This song " ALIEN" He wrote abt himself n his attitude towards his music. When many out there cannot accept his style n music, started calling him names, he kept cool n replied with this song. Off stage he is quiet n humble, minding his own business (ie music)

I use the term rockstar because he embodies what a rockstar should be onstage and his is a good person off stage. Even if he only did slow ballads, I still use the term rockstar because his level of popularity is so high. He is what we want our stars to be. He is new style of music too and rock is only a part of what he does. He incorporates so many elements into his songs. All the other singers I react to do not do this. Also, the songs I am reacting too are his most requested or urgent request. They are not my choices..lol.. I have a very long list now for him that includes his non rock style songs too and I look forward to it.😊😊😊😊

Just to comment on your comments on this song's lyrics. What Hua tried to express is that everyone should be themselves, be responsible for themselves, not to be manipulated by anyone (could be from any where :-0). This could be used by anyone to many circumstances, but from him, this is more about self awareness, and insist on your own route of being yourself.....

😅nothing to do with gov, is about breaking the rules and revolution in existing China music market (which unique music maybe hard to survive). He is a good kid but weird kid too. He had a unhappy childhood due to his parent divorce. Ever since, he is very very very focus in music and revolution rather than commercial, which is not easy, however he did it.
He had participated many singing competition or music show to encourage unique and different music. He sing a lot good song from online musician to promote them. He (and many other singer) been trying hard to focus in music making rather than follow investor preference. They are real musician. (thus u can find many of his unique music, like Fake monk, why no body fight, dad I'm home, Nunchuck, cancer, Bullfighting... It is like a voice to against existing music market which over liaise in commercial and lack of revolution)

What Luck! Dimash will have a concert in New York City this fall - - - - YAY! No! I'll be in China, but Hua will have his concert when I'm in China - - - YAY - No!. Hua's concert will be in the south (Chenzen) I'll be Beijing. Sometimes you just can't win.

You're right about the government "monitors" and HuaHua. His song "I don'tCare' was a wry response to one of performances that was censored. Also censors made him remove some verses from "Flammable and Explosive" when he performed it. I hope he will persevere. Praise to all those many thousands of Chinese people who support him.
You can see his song in China’s internal web sites easily and many people are discussing his song without any issues. Flammable and Explosive is not his original song! The lyric is there for long before he covered it.
