- Paul Levy gives us a rundown on the latest innovations from the folks at Modular Driven Technologies. The XRS Chassis System is available for Remington 700, Savage, and Tikka bolt action rifles, and it has an aluminum bed that extends all the way back into the buttstock - talk about "rock solid"! More features: plenty of M-LOK® slots on the forend, sling swivel stud / bipod attachment point, barricade stop, two interchangeable pistol grips (angled and vertical) over-molded with non-slip rubber, height-adjustable cheekrest, and a rubber recoil pad with spacers for adjusting the length-of-pull. Accepts MDT's own magazines or any AICS-type mags. The XRS Enclosed Forend, available separately, easily swaps onto your XRS chassis to provide a full-length ARCA Swiss bipod rail and lotsa M-LOK® slots, too. Looking for more stability in your life? Or at least your chassis rifle? MDT's offers the 1-lb. XRS Forend Weight you can install inside the XRS chassis's forend, AND you can also get rear weights that replace the LOP spacers.
MDT's CKYE-Pod Gen2 is laden with features, including the MOST vertical adjustment of any bipod currently on the market. There's a ton of additional adjustability, which Paul demos for us. And you can get your CKYE-Pod with an ARCA Swiss, Picatinny, swivel stud, or Really Right Stuff mount. Finally, the Vertical Grip Elite pistol grip attaches to any chassis rifle that accepts AR-15 pistol grips. The Elite offers several adjustment options that enable you to customize it to your rifle and to you!
That bipod is absurdly expensive!!!
Do the R&D to make a better one, test the reliability, pay the insurance, taxes, material, quality control and see if it is on the same level for the target audience of precision rifle shooting. It is quite expensive and I wouldn't buy it but there might be some that get what they were looking for.
@@onpsxmember I think that they’re probably appropriately priced for what they are, but they’re still absurdly expensive for a bipod.
It’s like a Rolls-Royce….. absurdly expensive, but the craftsmanship, materials, skilled labor, etc justify the price.
A Rolls is absurdly expensive for a car. A Rolex is absurdly expensive for a watch. $600 is absurdly expensive for a bipod.

People who pay thousands for a prs rifle, a couple thousand for their optic, and hundreds to thousands more on spitting scopes, gear, mags, etc.
They aren't saying you need to put that on your 300 dollar ruger american
That bipod is an example of how to blow a lot of excessive money in firearm accessories really quick.
wrong information! the aluminum bedding extends into the pistol grip and NOT into the buttstock. How could Brownells miss that?

I HAVE THIS MODEL BUT IN 6.5 CREEDMOOR WHAT MAGAZINES TEY SENT ME L/A MAGS USING 308? Its obvious the mag is way to long to fit chassis!
What color is the stock? Looks like it‘s green, but I only can find black and FDE.

@@davidcoleman6211 Mate the MDT Chassis Stock is affordable compared to many other brands out there . If you want a accurate PRS or Tactical type bolt gun built look no further that Kenny at Desert Precision Gunworks in Arizona. This bloke builds some very accurate rifles and doesn’t charge as much as a lot of Gunsmiths out there . Check out his two TH-cam channels Eagle Eye Shooting, and Desert Precision Gunworks . @@davidcoleman6211 I bought an oryx chassis about a week ago. MDT produces them as their budget line, so they go for around $400 instead of this one at $500.
They seem really similar, and I'm not sure if I would have gained much by waiting for this one. Easiest installation ever

That new chassis is $100 more than an Oryx. Hard to see the value. For the extra $100.
Just got an oryx and I'm on the fence whether I would have done this if it were out. No tool cheek riser adjustment seems the biggest difference, but I like the shape of the oryx better

@@nk-dw2hm you can buy the wheel knobs set screws for 29.95 plus $7 for shipping. I would rather just use a tool. On the plus side the bolt can be removed with the riser up.

Not how that works. Inflation actually tends to be lower historically under Democratic control by chance, even though it doesn’t really have anything to do with that. Plenty of faults with the democratic party. No need to fault them for unrelated issues.
