I've spent the week bouncing around tutorials for the mixer brush and yours is by far the most helpful in understanding the individual settings. This is also the ONLY one with a straightforward explanation on how to use (almost) any brush as a mixer. Thank you SO much.

This is a great video. I have used Photoshop since it first came out but never tried to use the mixer brush. I am no artist, but think I will give this a try.
I’m happy to hear we’ve convinced you to try out the mixer brush Lawrence :) One of the great things about Photoshop is there’s always something new to learn.
I just want to thank you for this amazing tutorial. YOu really made it easy for a beginner like me to understand the mixer brush which by the way is so confusing to understand watching other tutorials. I cant thank you enough. I hope and wish I could see more tutorials from you regarding using the mixer brush on an image to make it look like a painterly canvas. Thank you again you are the best
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such awesome feedback. This makes us so happy to hear and hope you'll enjoy taking part in some of the others too :)
At about 13:00 minutes in, you clarified something that has been puzzling me for months!!! Sometimes, the brush that I chose to be a Mixer Brush wouldn't work. I did figure out that sometimes it did using the Brush settings, but didn't put it together!! Thanks!!
Thank you, so well explained and informative. I had tried using this tool but got such mixed (hit & miss) results and didn't understand why it behaved that way, so thank you so very much for this tutorial. Hope you make more on the mixer brush.
Hey Cat, Thanks for getting in touch and it's great to hear that you really enjoyed this tutorial. Thank you for suggestion on more tutorials on the mixer brush - I have passed this onto our product team and so hopefully, we can offer more tutorials in the future :).
Helen! Thanks so much for this. It was incredibly informative, very clear, very direct, and you indeed accomplished the goal of demystifying the intimidating mixer brushes in Photoshop! Excellent job.
Thanks for commenting! We do not currently have any tutorials on creating brushes themselves, however I will definitely pass on your request to our team :).
Hey Evan, Thanks for getting in touch My apologies if you didn't find this tutorial helpful. We appreciate that some of our videos are a little outdated as Adobe has made some changes since this video, however some of our community still work with the older versions of Adobe so this is why we have not removed any of our older videos. I have raised this with our Video Team and hopefully in the future we can update these videos and label them based on the software used.
I am really sorry to hear you are not finding the Photoshop brush useful for your design work. If you have any questions, please feel free to pop us an email at hello@designcuts.com and our team will do everything they can to help :)
