Thank you Tom Armstrong for reminding me of Jim Bowen’s years of life. We’ve lost so many great people over the last few years. I grew up with bullseye as it was broadcast every Sunday evening in the 80’s and was prime time TV. Lovely memories of the man that made the show, along with Tony Green.
Jim released two books, "From a bundle of rags" & "Right place, right time" well worth a read, B.F.H...Bowen Folk Hero, Legend of Lancashire, R.I.P. good Sir.🎯
@@alkatrask2704 To be honest, it's more a case of "people used to be able to say whatever they wanted because it's free speech and it's only words. What ever happened, eh...

Na don't get that one 🤔. Not being English find the humour hard to follow. I live in scotland so dont see what is funny about someone having a speed boat from Birmingham?
@@knight-pg8gk I used to think it was funny...until I found out Birmingham has around 35 miles of Canals.....a speedboat would make short work of them! ;-)
I'm a wheelchair user but get out of mine all the time to sit in a 'normal' chair, and not that I do, or would use one, too lazy, but sit ski's exist for wheelchair users now. 80's attitude I suppose. It was different then.
Doesn't make it any less funny though!!! I don't think his Irish story is true either but it cracks me up no end!!! Love a good story telling comedian!
R.I.P Jim Bowen (1937-2018)
So pleased these keep appearing in my timeline!

I was the last person to get a Jim Bowens signature, I still think about him a year ish on, rest in peace

I miss when people could be racist and not have the PC brigade stop watching them

Jim Bowen: King of Sunday nights
Poor Jim went through so much as he got older. My mate had a drink with him in the pub and said he was he was a Super Smashing bloke
That's proper funny. Old school comic. Brilliant
Great story, that really made me laugh.
I've seen all the Bullseye shows including the one with the murderer but not that one he describes.
Jim the storyteller indeed.
I'd have a pint with Bowen anytime.

A skiing holiday for a disabled bloke...almost as amusing as a speedboat for someone from Birmingham

This is what happens when you assume what a wheelchair user might want or need.
Lol!
3000 pounds or lb? of immovable leather? sounds like a meeting of the W.I.
Lol !! :D
😂😂👍
He would have sold the Leather sofa anyway.
hahahaha!
Can't you fit skis onto a wheelchair?
Doesn't the wheelchair guy get visitors who might want to sit down?
Typical. Another unwanted star prize on Bullseye 😅🤦♂️
Don't believe these stories this bloke is saying
Why?

Heard Bowen had a stroke last year, Sad news to hear he is recovering, fingers crossed he suffers a big one soon
