It was late in the day and cold after I had winterized my boat. Noticed my box was leaking excessively and I couldn't loosen the nut. Saw your video, ran to the HW store before they closed, sprayed it on and done. Drove home to feed the cats. Thanks !
Thanks also from I9M Peace #37 in Yorktown, VA. I like the use of the wide stainless strap clamps on the rubber hose, they are probably stronger than what I have. Glad it was successful.
Thanks! These are all the same stainless heavy duty t-bolt clips, which is what is recommended. I had them all neatly aligned in the same direction but then I was recommended to alternate them so I did. The boat previously had some old perforated worm-screw hose clamps which I replaced.
Hey folks! Happy to be helping people. Just wanted to say that the editing on this video was not in the order I intended and I realize one clip is in there twice. If I recall correctly, I did have to use heat to get the locking nut off, I had a heat gun. It's possible I didn't though but I've packed many stuffing boxes since making this video.
Thank you so much for the video! Very helpful. Hope you make more for us!
