Sam Lim amplifies Rhys' voice on the environment

Joining the 2024 Youth Voice in Parliament campaign, Sam Lim (Tangney, WA) amplified Rhys' voice on protecting the environment. Speech transcript is below -
"My name is Rhys, and I am 11-year-old.
I hope that in 10 years, I will see more greenery and less carbon dioxide emissions. I envision a bright future for the environment in the area. Having less cars would be great and having more trees would also be amazing too.
I would be greatly thankful if less fossil fuels were to be used by anything because of how bad it is for the environment. Burning fossil fuels release a large amount of carbon dioxide, which causes climate change. The additional greenery would soak up the carbon dioxide and transform it into oxygen for creatures to breathe. In order to remove more fossil fuels, we could plant more bushes and trees and stop cutting so many others down. For another way to slow the spread of climate change, we could try to have less cars on the road and more bikes or paths.
To keep our community thriving, we should try our best to implement these changes into the Tangney area. If this happens the environment will be safer, and it will slow climate change as much as it can. I wish to see these changes in 10 years from now."
