It Took 86 Hours To Obtain A Saw | POH Chunk #3

- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 29 ก.ย. 2024
- This is POH Chunk. My mission is to build the greatest Player Owned House in RuneScape history. In order to complete this goal I must unlock chunks through training the Construction skill. Every Construction Level unlocks a chunk, and in addition I can unlock chunks by upgrading my house.

The Chunk Rules
Starting off
- My adventure begins in the Rimmington House Portal Chunk (11826)
- I can only leave my starter chunk once to purchase a POH in Falador
How do I earn Chunk unlocks?
- Train a Construction Level
- Store a full item set in the Costume Room (except holiday items)
- Place a Skilling/Boss pet in the Menagerie
- Build a Boss Lair Display in the Achievement Gallery
- Mount a Monster Head in the Skill Hall
Which Chunks can I unlock?
- Directly North, East, South or West of any active Chunk
- Any house portal as soon as the required level is met
- Destination Chunks from transportation (boat, glider, tree, etc)
- Teleport destinations accessed from inside my POH

• Getting 99 Woodcutting...
You Saw it coming didn't you?
The saw for you is definitely cutting edge technology
Schitterend, echt schitterend 😂
That made me groan and put a hand to my head sighing.
If you do stick this out to 99, I’d be down to see invisible levels for more chunks. Those extra 21 chunks could be very cool to see as well!
Well, some might say 126 is max virtual level 😅😂
That's a pretty cool idea! I will discuss it after 99 :D
Or just every 1m xp is a bonus chunk
At con 15 you can build a workshop and construct the first Tool Rack for unlimited saws, hammers, chisels, and shears.
It costs 10K for the workshop and 2 oak planks for the Tool Rack.
You need a saw to make the tool rack I am pretty sure, otherwise limpwurt would have built it for a saw on his journey
@@Veelivolant he has a saw. got from varrok
Yeah I can make this room! I have access to all tools already now so it's not really needed though!
Vanakka chooses the fighting boots. Message received😂
Haha! There's no deeper meaning to it I can assure you :-)
Dropping this before I start doing dishes is insanely awsome of you ❤
You're welcome! Have fun doing the dishes I guess then :p
Any reason you didn't complete Daddy's Home? You should have had necessary chunks by the time you unlocked Varrock proper, right?
Tbh I think It's really not that worth doing, as it only provides minimal XP and I needed to unlock the sawmill first anyway, because some bolt of cloth are needed to complete the quest. But I guess doing the miniquest wouldn't hurt!
Picking the fighting boots was surely rage bait
Tbh I just liked them thats it 🤣
Loving the videos so far! I'd love to see more love & attention spent on making your POH look nice (rather than just being a training tool)
That's a good one. I'll start working on that soon. (Episode 6 or something)
You can also canoe to the Ferox enclave, right? Fun looking series!
Yep I can! But it required 57 WC which I didn't have :)
You should get a forestry kit and do some woodcutting in afk time to get bark for sawmill vouchers. Will save you so much time getting gp for planks.
Ew fighting boots
This is a very interesting way to reach 99 construction! I look forward to seeing any of your other series if this is how you plan to earn each 99.
Including, but not limited to, thieving…..
Love this take on the chunkmode! As a viewer it does feel kind of all over the place, though. Your long-term goal to just build a nice house is a bit untangible (if you don't know where the finish line is you don't know how far you've come) and I don't really know exactly what you want to do. A chunk-focused series should be all about having clear goals and progressing towards them. I hope this comes more into play later on!
Thanks a lot, I will try to define a more clear goal in episode 7!
Almost unsubscribed when he picked the fighting boots 😂
Just to clarify I did not pick these to make a statement, I simply like them the most :p
@@VannakaOSRS Didn't think you were lol, I just think Fancy Boots Enjoyers are the vast majority. I was just joking, keep up the good work 👍
@@davidhobson8419 thanks buddy😁
Needing a saw to build a clay fireplace is dumb logic
You can cook trout and salmon in that shop?? That’s actually great!
The hype is real, time to watch and go to bed :)
Yay! gn in advance :D
Fighting boots... 🤢
They're nice!
Def gotta make it to the daddys home mini quest
Loving the series, but what is the end goal? Stopping at 99 construction? Completing every diary/quest/boss log in every unlocked chunk?
pretty sure its just unlocking the entire map
The endgoal is to unlock the entire map and build the greatest (and hopefully most complete) POH in history!
Hey why dies your level 10 unlock take away from u unlocking a random chunk. I think they should be separate entities.
Compare it to Construction level 1. This unlocked the Rimmington Portal chunk.
You didnt need to unlock chunk 12855, since you can use the canoe to Ferox. Could have saved a chunk there for later use.
I should have explained it in the video but I didn’t use the canoe because it requires level 57 Woodcutting to go to the Enclave. I chose to train an extra Con level instead. But eventually we will need to unlock the entire map, so it’s okay!
Isn't there an estate agent in Falador? Or is that just RS3? Why'd you need the Varrock one?
It was about the saw spawn, which is only in Varrock and not Falador.
i would have hammed up eating that breadroll soo much lol
Why not just use the canoe to get to the enclave instead of wasting that chunk 😅
It required 57 woodcutting so I preferred getting an extra con level :) Eventually all chunks must be unlocked anyway!
POH Chunk #1
how are you using noted planks as an ironman? or did this update? because I remember I couldnt exchange them being an ironman :[
Not sure if this was not possible before, but you can unnote them for coins at Phials in the Rimmington shop
@@VannakaOSRS Well that would have been very convenient back in the day before I had a butler haha XD okay good to know!
What happens if u dont heve the requirements to unlock a tile that has a POH portal and get the level for it? As an example, what happens if u get 70 construction and didnt unlock priff yet?
It will still unlock the house portal chunk, but I will have to complete SOTE in order to access it!
The recap at the start of the video is really nice, however you might be shooting yourself in your own foot there. Viewers that find your series on episode 3 or 4 have no reason to go back and watch episode 1 and beyond because they already saw the journey so far.
True! I will usually be recapping only one episode before to have people a bit more invested in what I’m currently doing. If they want to watch the series from the start they’re free to do so 😁
Wait, how did you just unlocked edgeville 5 seconds later after saying "I can only unlock chunks north, south, west and east of already unlocked ones"?
In the description (and episode 2) it was explained that transportation chunks can be unlocked as well. So if I can skip chunks by taking a canoe, boat, gnome glider, spirit tree, etc, this is allowed.
This idea is really fun to watch :) Also are you gonna continue the combat achievement locked account?
Thanks! I don't know when the CA Locked account will return yet, unfortunately.
What is a saw?
I only just found out
Vainka even chooses the bear
gotta try something stupid to say... here goes... Hoera! Niuwe Video!
Hey hey! Almost right! ''nieuwe'' is the correct spelling :D Thanks for watching again Ninja
I feel like this went really fast but I also know later levels are going to be a GRIND lol
Exactly this haha
would possibly have been better to unlock Port Sarim -> Port Piscarilius (needed to have traveled to at least once to unlock) -> Lands End (this) -> South/West Kourand Woodlands (probably south?, for copper longtails so you can get puro-puro after lamping to 9 instead of all the way to 17) -> West Woodcutting guild -> East Woodcutting guild ... beyond the Lumbermill (which sells saws and nails if you need them) this would also give rune axe, and a much better place to chop oaks and make into planks
I looked into this route too and yes it's a solid one! But I decided to prioritise unlocking Misthalin, as this is going to be an important choice for completing beginner/easy clues in the near future. Doing these is essential for unlocking more chunks soon!
@@VannakaOSRS my suggested route is 3 beginners and 28 easies, yours is 9 beginners and 48 easies, but with 3 more chunks (so some of them could've been bought anyways), and in case of Limestone, which is another relevant question, you'd only be 2 chunks (via Zeah Minecarts) from entering and playing Wintertodt, where your Mining is still 'low enough' that you'd still have a ~1/400 chance per roll to get Limestone ... while also getting a lot of other goodies, including teak and mahogany logs for improved construction.
@@Sianistic It would have been a good alternative route for sure!
FUCK YEAH!!!
Did you bank that bread roll?? LOL
I may have... lol
I figured it would be a giant land mass.
Finally some progress!
First
16:05 lol
Ayyye account changed forever 🎉
Yep haha
I like the retro vibes at the start :)
Thank you!
I was under the impression when you said house portal chunks were automatically unlocked, it was for free
Ah, no it's actually a fixed unlock! Compare it to my home chunk at level 1 Construction. So even without training the skill, even the first Construction level unlocked a chunk, being the Rimmington Home Portal! 99 Construction = 99 Chunks. But more ways to unlock chunks will be introduced soon :)
I guess using level 1 Construction unlock home chunk makes sense in that context.
Thank you for your hard work!
I feel dumb, is there a goal to this series? Is it maxed house?
Nobody knows
I explained the main goal in the first episode. Unlock the entire map and build the greatest POH in OSRS History!
@@VannakaOSRS but you can't unlock the entire map....?
@@fionaskittle Why not?
@@VannakaOSRS because there are more than 99 chunks
