My wife works at the Va. Beach Stihl plant and Stihl gave all their workers one of these saws. I own a tree company, so she naturally gave it to me. I have used it for light duty cutting a few times, and it does serve a purpose when you don't want to lug around a gas-powered chainsaw. Being a Stihl employee, my wife gets a 50% discount, so I'm definitely getting the extension.
What I like about you Chris, is that you are real. I have met you several times and you are the same guy in person. I like your channel because you tell it like it is. Most of us would never get to try products, we would have to buy it and then if we are disappointed, we are stuck with it.
I wondered if you were going to be doing more promotion gigs. You are a natural with the gift of gàb and I for one enjoy seeing the new products. Also you don't pull punches.
This is great, Chris! I got an N&N trailer and an Eastonmade largely due to your experiences. I’m sure you’ll sort out the junkers and the great stuff.
Handy little pruner saw to have around, even better with the handle. 2 in 1. The low amp charger is better for the Lithium Battery’s from my understanding. Either way, great to see a un-biased straight forward review Chris. Like you always say, I want it to work no matter the brand. 👍🏻👍🏻
Hello Chris! Its my father (Ben’s) birthday today, he loves your videos and every night we watch them as a family whilst eating dinner. You inspired us to construct our own woodyard and it is great for our family. If you could please leave a birthday message for him after this comment that would absolutely make his birthday really special and is the best gift he could imagine. Thankyou so much! Greg & Ozzie
Happy birthday Sir Ben! I hope you have a bunch more! Send me some pictures of your wood yard/piles saws/tractor/stuff for wood makin'! chrisinthewoodyard@gmail.com Some day I want to do a video or 3 about other peoples wood yards! Have a good one!
Thanks for the upload Chris. You have something extremely valuable - your true honest self. There are some (too many actually) that would like to use it for their own ends, but as soon as they do in any ways that are not in keeping with your inner self, well they can damage that which is most precious, that honest competence people trust and listen to. Great move doing stuff with the local Stihl franchise manager, was it Jo? Western society has major foundations that are not true to reality so every one doing stuff in honest competence, is giving solid substance. *Only the reality counts,* is a very simple axiom but profound because _all the stuff that's not real adds to zero._ Cheers Sincerely d
I have a knock off and they are handy! I have a Ryobi battery combi pole saw with an 8” bar and you can be tempted to cut something too big . Good demo
I have the DeWalt 8 inch battery pole saw that can extend at least up to 15ft (including user height) and it's a life saver. I took down 4-5 smaller trees (up to 20ft tall) on a project I was doing using mostly that and only really used my chainsaw to piece up the fallen branches and cut down the main trunk. One big recommendation I would make when using pole saws: take branches down a few pieces at a time. If you try to take down a long and thick branch (4-5 inches thick), you're asking for a knee or head shot when that thing lands. You may be able to easily cut it with the tool, but it doesn't mean that you should.
I have to edmit we have 3 of there products. The oddest is there 120v chainsaw with 20" bar. . we have goten some strange orders for 30"ish long 8x8s~ and other sizes. And we use it to cut them to length. blocks for rail-road crash recovery footings. They just shove em in the ground tell they stop sinking, as they have bigger fish to fry. Like loosing a million or so an hour, because trains can't move.
Awesome Chris, your wife may find you a bit more attractive in that new shirt & hat! Lol😅😅 Cool tool. How about a rpm guage video for your power saws video, a properly turned saw is crucial 🤔 How tacky is the bar oils you use??
I doubt I can attract her much any more...39 years! I normally use stuff until it breaks and then I have someone else fix it (pro-shop) or I buy a new one. I am not a mechanic and don't want to be one either. I would rather hire a profession to do their job and I do mine. All bar oil works and the tests I have seen is that the cheaper stuff is actually better so.....
I'm a Stihl guy myself. But I like Husqvarna and too. To me if it does right I don't have any complaints. Just as long as it does what it aspose to do. I've bought a brand new Stihl once and it stayed messed up and I had a Husqvarna 235 that needed a new carb. The Husqvarna done better than the Stihl at the time. The Husqvarna finally played out. Now I'm back to Stihl. And if anyone wants to know. Yes I would buy another Husqvarna and Stihl. I will run both saws
I own one of these hand held saws and they work great! Good for trimming and small stuff around the house. Now, when will you show is the Chris chain sharpening on this small saw. I will be looking for the extension.
I’m a huge stihl guy but I don’t like the fact that you don’t have a screw to tighten the bar, I don’t like the fact that it doesn’t have an oiler and I don’t like those tool less barnuts
Morning Folks.... Chris just posted a video on his Out of the Woodyard channel... He and Ken are testing their cartilage in the knees walkin in the swamp!! Enjoy!
The sound is kind od cheep honestly, does not sound strong. I need a 26 for reach, Harbor freight has one for 60$ corded but he does the job, specially if the next time you cut those branches will be on the next 3 years
Chris I am A sthil Guy but i gotta ask you to! Dance with who brung ya. 1400 videos wearing Husqvarna hats shirts and sweat shirts doesnt look right you wearing sthil gear. Now my comment is no different then you calling a viewers saw a weenie saw, no harm intended just not the right equipment for the job. People respect your opinion and watch your channel for your honest opinion! Just doesnt feel right when its a Bob Villa citation dont leave your brand for the $$$
I am not leaving the brand, I am appealing to more viewers by showing more tools for the job..Echo, Stihl, Makita, Milwaukee, Husqvarna.....all make great stuff and some viewers are so brand loyal they will not watch any other brand being used. Plus comparisons of similar tool are something most people do not get to do every and on here I can give you an honest review.

Thanks, you too!

Yup, for around the yard it worked pretty well! More Stihl stuff to come! I ran a couple tanks through a 500 yesterday....awesome saw!!
Good Saturday morning Chris!

My brother has the M18 Milwaukee pole saw. Its lightweight cuts fast and great for pruning and even using in the nifty lift for hard to reach branches
Nice!

I have the Kombi system. It can get a little heavy sometimes. This would be a nice addition to the collection.
It sure is!
Yes 👍 Chris every guy is always saying more inches 😮😊❤
Some do!
Great extension 😁🇦🇺
Yup!
Good morning Chris nice good for you love it I buy what I like ( Ty Ron
Hello Ron, thanks!

I hope to soon!
It definitely works great.
Hello there David! Yes it does that!
This be perfect for my embankment trimming jobs.
Yup, they work great!
What is the cost of the Extension pole?
I have no idea, it was a demo model I borrowed for a day to make the video, you might want to check out their web site???
@@InTheWoodyard Thanks for the reply and the video!
Chris's cool tools😎
Tools are fun!
I like you even more Chris!!
I like mine and exited to try this new extension out
I knew bringing on other brands would help calm down the believers of all brands a little bit.
It is handy!
Another tool for the toolbox. Would be handy to trim around the yard.
Yes it sure is!
Handy dandy tool!! PPE is a good idea 'cause I like my parts too. GNI
Yup, parts are good and mine are very important!
Good job Chris, I think your right 2-3 inches would be better…
Thanks, Yup ..more!
You are win win winner person my friend
Thanks my winner friend!
Man he got the GTA 26 before GTA 6 even releases
It is a handy tool!
To bad they don’t make this saw brushless-that’s the only thing holding me back on purchasing one.
Yup, that would be nice!
🤘
Thanks for watching!
Landscapers using battery powered tools alot more in the city to keep noise down especially around condos 😊
Yes, city people do not like noise yet they all live 5 feet apart???
How a chainsaw company does not put an automatic oiler or a chain tensioner on a chainsaw is beyond me?
I refuse to buy this thing because of that.
ok.

Yes, the rail roads loose money when shut down so getting then open fast is very important!
I love my gta 26
Very handy for sure!

Yup, 1-2 more always!

Nope

Yup, it was not easy for sure!
Trout in that stream? I went fishing. 5 outta 10. Now if you had a fishing pole I would hve watched the whole vid. Those rounds are calling you NO?
Your comment today 4 outta 10. No trout just minnows and suckers. No the rounds don't talk.
2 to 3 inches more on the tool 😂😂😂😂

Nice review Chris. Something is wrong though. Every time I tried to like your video it subtracted a like. Must be a Stihl or 1/2 Polish thing. GNI
