Next Up for Top Rank Boxing, Undefeated Kazak phenom Janikbek “Qazaq Style” Alimkhanuly will defend his WBO middleweight world title in the main event against Canadian contender Steven Butler on Saturday, May 13, at Stockton Arena in Stockton, California.
In the co-feature, former two-time world title challenger Jason “Mayhem” Moloney will face big-punching Filipino contender Vincent Astrolabio for the vacant WBO bantamweight title.
Alimkhanuly-Butler and Moloney-Astrolabio will be broadcast live on ESPN, ESPN Deportes and ESPN+ at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.

I think it’s because he wasn’t Mexican and didn’t become a big star in America due to him being Argentine. I put Martinez in the same category of skills and mainstream popularity as Joe Calzaghe

i think the fight was way less close than the commentators were discussing it. Martinez dominated with clever foot work good defense and repeated flurries of punches

Yeah he honestly hit his prime at a late age. It sucks that we didn't see his best and when the division was starting to heat up
It was an epic fight, Pavlik was a real killer, and nobody knews anything about Sergio, in fact Sergio fought because Williams had an accident. Everybody thougt Pavlik had an easy win in front of him. Such a suprise, the argentinian knew how to box! 😊

Martinez sure fought and beat some top fighters, i remember watching a docu on him and he was training 6 days per week with hard cardio and no sparring. He's an awesome fighter who doesn't get the recognition he deserves.

Pavlik headhunting, didn’t use the correct punch at correct time. When he was stalking Martinez he shoulda focused on lead straight right hands to chest, while using left hand as a guard. When Martinez attacked from distance pavlik shoulda countered with tight left hooks. Respect to Martinez, undersized but beat some dangerous big guys. He had real skills, super athletic, knows had to cut tight angles, quick, agile, fast reflexes, very good stamina.
Its crazy... Ive NEVER heard of this boxer before.. So many people swear he's a good boxer .. Are some boxers more promoted than others??
