I recently moved into Yellowstone National Park, as an employee of the lake Yellowstone, Hotel, and watching your videos, makes me so happy because I’m from an area of South Texas, where there isn’t much to look at. And I realize how blessed I am to live in such a wonderful, beautiful, breathtaking area of this country that most people only see as a destination, and I get to see it outside my front door, and I hope I never lose the childlike awe that hits me every time I see a new area. I’m happy that you enjoyed your time in Yellowstone, and hopefully you’ll get to come visit again soon.

Wow ! What a wonderful video and dialog for us to enjoy. Brings back memories of when I was about 10 and whole family did the same trip in Yellowstone except we stayed very close to the lake and wood burning stoves were used to heat the cabins. Was my mon, dad, 2 sisters and me, with aunt and uncle and 3 cousins and my grandfather and grandmother. Frequently bears would wander through the camp where we stayed and turn over the trash and came very close to us. Went on fishing charter on Yellowstone lake. The guide cleaned our fish and the restaurant across the street from the marina would cook your own cleaned fish and serve them with veggies, salads, bread, etc. What a great memory from 65 years ago for me. Truly a spectacular place and wish I could do it again. Thanks for posting this great adventure, brings back wonderful memories.
Wow it sounds even more incredible back then! To be able to fish and have them cook it for you would be such a cool experience, we wished we had more time in the Park but we’ll definitely be back with fishing gear in tow next time 😆 🐟
We stayed there several years ago and my husband was not able to sleep and he was watching a thunderstorm lightning and everything. While he watched out the window lighting went off at the same time old faithful did. Something he will never forget.
My favourite episode so far guys, so good I even watched it twice, love the scenery, wildlife and am already trying to convince the wife to do this trip in a few years time!

Just spectacular. We did not have enough days when we were in Yellowstone. We had bison come right up on side our car. One decided to take a poop right next to my door. So happy you saw a bear… ❤️❤️❤️

Back at the Yellowstone inn..if you spotted the stuffed bear somewhere in the rafters…and pointed it out to the staff”front desk you win a prize..anywhere to a free night in a luxury cabin valued at 1,000 a night to big prize package…but you need to find that stuffed animal…I’m local I’ve been to Yellowstone 1,000 times ..there is a bunch of Easter eggs all over that park that give you giant perks..you could spend an entire summer here..and have the time of your life..I love this place…good travels my friends..

Hi J&C - Yes, bison are HUGE! 🐃 Such amazing animals. You could get a lot of steaks out of one of them 🤣 (just kidding). Old Faithful Inn sure seems like a great central place to stay. Fire Hole area was COLD! ❄Wow, you sure covered a lot of ground on that Grand Loop Road. Disappointing that the buffet was just so-so, the noise from the radiator in your room would have sent Curtis to the moon! Even ear plugs wouldn't drown that out! Lastly, you DO NOT want a bison or a Grizzley bear to t-bone your vehicle! Great vlog, can't wait to view the rest - continued safe travels. Many hugs to you both!!!! 😎❤

Yes it was very quiet. We were there in June and from what we understand it’s when the Park just begins to fully open and it’s also when the animals have babies.
So close it’s like you can reach out and touch them. But, of course, don’t. Bear aware, bison aware, moose aware. Ah, nature. I don’t walk longish distances that we’ll anymore so it was nice to be able to tag along. I just fill a spray bottle with hot water and spray myself in the face to get more of the affect. Keep undoing the windows!
This was early June, we got very lucky with the weather. Can’t say if May is too early it all depends on the weather on the day! I know a lot of the hotels only open in June so if you plan to stay in the park definitely check that first 🦬 have a great trip!!

What month was this? Thinking about going to Yellowstone & Grand Teton in mid May 2024, but is that too early?
