I have a tunnel like yours, beware they are called blow aways. You need to fix them down well. Just burying the sides is NOT enough. There are loads of tips on TH-cam, greenside up is a useful chanel with a vid on what he did.

Mine already blew away on Christmas Eve, that's how I learnt the hard way I needed to take the cover off until I install it properly! I've bought some giant tent pegs basically, steel stakes to drive into the ground over the bars, and I'm hoping that will do the trick, but I'll definitely have a search for these videos too! Strangely enough I don't always think to check YT for how-to's!

Your allotment looks similar to my raised Beds garden!

dandelions are a fixer, they only turn up if you need them, best to leave them to do the job, then they'll leave

Interesting! Will have to look into the science behind this, thanks! Not sure my plot neighbours would appreciate all the heads blowing around though so might need to at least take the puff balls off!

@@MyCarbonCoach lol yes maybe, but it's either to much acid . compacted ground, or its digging to drag up calcium 👍

Another great video! Most wildflowers self seed so you should see a flourish hopefully. It's so nice you're leaving it. The insects will thank you for it 😀

Thanks Jade! I really hope they do, it was so wonderful to see last year, so many bees and butterflies around the plot, I loved it!

    - I think you will regret it in the long run if you don't level off the poly tunnel
    - on the obelisk i would tie some string on the base ring near to an upright and the spiral it around the structure up to the top so that the sweet peas have more anchorage points as they grow (this applies to anything that climbs)
    - don't forget to label and add the date they were sown/planted out and record for next year (should it be sown/planted earlier of later next year)
another great video 👍 the plot's looking good

Thanks for the tips CAL, definitely agree on the polytunnel, just need to find a days worth of time to get stuck into it!
Such a great idea adding more 'ladder rungs' to the sweetpea tower, definitely going to get that done in the next day or two!
I have a database on my laptop where I track all my sowings and growings, it's a really handy tool that I've developed in Notion and comes in so handy!
Thanks for watching again and I always appreciate it when I see your name pop up!

Sweet peas don’t like the frost so I would cover them over if you can at night

I'll see if I can pop over to the plot later on and see about doing that. Thanks for the heads up, I appreciate it Karen

Thanks so much Shannon! I'm hoping that I'm able to still spend a resonable amount of time up there, and definitely going to be taking work with me if the cold weather improves to study at my bench!
