Iv got about 20 of the 540 mk3s in my shop with the same issues. Tried this on one yesterday and it completely solved the problem. Youve saved me alot of time thanks man keep the videos coming on these saws they rip when they run but seems to be a common problem on the walbro carbs
Would you happen to have an oiled air filter for these yet? Or for a 2511t? That's going to be my next saw though. Hell of a catch on that carb though. I have never seen a metering lever that high from the factory.
Hey Nick, I have a mark 3 and I'm curious to see if this would fix some of my issues. My saw is still fairly new and I have recently had a new exhaust manifold put on but seem to still be having issues when I first start the saw and put it under load it wants to bog down. Any thoughts?
@@zacharywiest5272 I would definitely dig into that carb and see where the needle lever is set. If need be, adjust it to the proper setting. It should cure it.

@@chriscorbs8922 glad you found the video and it helped! Such a bummer they are set wrong from factory.
Nice catch. I can say I have had trouble with needles and seats on other saws and other kinds of motors, like old boat motors. Great description.
