    Thank you very much for this awesome tutorial once more! I am learning these at the moment, so your tips come just at the right time 😁
    BTW I can really recommend your "stationary piro funnel" video as a training before someone starts the half piro flips.

    Wow. This just stepped up my heli game. Flying since 2009 and had no idea how easy these actually were until your explanation. 15 minutes on the sim did the trick. Can't wait to try it at the field after some more practice. Thank you for spelling it out for us old guys. Liked, subscribed and rang the bell 🔔 👌 😀 👍

      It sounds like you had all the orientations down, and it was just a case of putting it together and looking for the right cues.
      Anyway, I'm up there with the old guys :D

      Glad to hear it. I'll use you as a guinea pig, so if you get stuck, we can try some things, and maybe release an update to cover any new techniques.

    Just realized after almost a two decades of simming. The Tail follows the cyclic in the vertical plane. Then, when inverted the head follows the cyclic.

    • @rchelicopter
      @rchelicopter  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not sure what you mean by the head following, but it's cool when connections like that are made, even when you've been able to do it for years.

      There are 3 types of RC heli pilots:
      1.) The "in the cockpit" visualizer. This type may not be able to fly inverted, backwards or traveling piros.
      2.) The memorizer has memorized what to do at different orientation. Depends on his memory capacity to learn new tricks.
      3.) The "direct" referencer. This type picks a point on the aircraft and finds a direct reference to a stick position.
      If you are the 3rd type of pilot, you will understand what I mean. If not, it will click someday when you are flying.

    Hi there! Thank you for the tutorials. This might be a weird question but how tight should the throttle stick be on the transmitter?

    • @rchelicopter
      @rchelicopter  ปีที่แล้ว

      Some say it should be loose enough to fall under its own weight when you tap the transmitter. That may be a little too loose for some, so perhaps a tiny bit tighter than that.
      The most important bit is that it's smooth. You should be able to move it tiny amounts without that sticky feeling.

      @@rchelicopter I have NX8 and the throttle stick has a small sticky feel from stationary position. Once it starts moving it’s smooth. Is there a way to fix the sticky? And thank you so much 😊

    • @rchelicopter
      @rchelicopter  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@neuzeum9496 I don't know enough about the NX8 to say. Some people use teflon tape or a teflon tube on the friction plate to make it smooth, but I haven't needed to do it before.

    elevator usage was not described but it appears to be that it was consistently required to stabilize or correct the bird as it moves through the trick. is that the case?

    • @rchelicopter
      @rchelicopter  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, you got it.

    • @glenncain
      @glenncain 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@rchelicopter do you then also lead the entry of the move with a bit of elevator as well?

  • @trexinvert

    Your sim heli behavior during knife edge vertical is "too unrealistic". Great fun for a gamer, but useless for actual field flying.

      Absolutely agree. I was surprised at how bad it was. I think AccuRC is much better for sets.
