He was so wonderful! Fun and funny, smart and witty, just amazing. He's been an inspiration to so many. I was blessed to visit the Ackermansion. He let me try on Bela Lugosi's cape. Thank you, Forry!
What a tremendous loss when Mr. Ackerman died. I had only a few copies of FMOFL when I was a kid... me and Craig, the fellow across the street used to trade the few mags we had back and forth. I nearly wore the covers off. Once, I saw in TV Guide that "Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman" was going to be on so I go the FMOFL issue that featured that one from Craig and then I sat with the mag watching the flick on Satruday night. Forrey was a kind soul, very talented and never lost his joy for all things monsters. He was the ultimate little kid... and funny as hell! The battle with Mr. Ferry really took its toll on him and it was a shameful act. RIP Forery.
The Famousest MonsterFan of them all has passed into the Great Beyond ". . . . take me home little boy; you will love me..." was in my mind in 1959 when, at age 9, I saw my first FAMOUS MONSTERS of FILMLAND!
What a treat after church on Sundays when my dad took us to the local newspaper/stationary store and I was permitted to have the latest copy of Famous Monsters of Filmland which kept me happy for a full month until the next one came out. Or was that a bi-monthly?

That cape was a fake.

RIP Forery.
Did you know he's been rabidly #Metoo accused by someone who "has proof but will NEVER share it"? See my vid.

Little did we know it but FM taught us how to read, to be literate and to articulate at a very early age!

Old Forrey always could get that stage strength and rally to tell the same stories he has told for 45 years.
