Sometimes when I try to play game on my Xbox One X the fan spins really fast and then turns the whole machine off. It says that it turned off due to heat safety. Do you think that it could need a clean out, or is this just another issue???

Regarding your question, it is 100% over heating issue and you will need to open and clean the fan and heatsink also replace the thermal paste.

Still kinda intimidating. When you removed the first outter panel I thought, “Oh, that looks super easy I can do that” and then you removed 6 other pieces, flipping n rotating, and unscrewing. It all escalated so quickly lol

🫠Regarding your question, yes we do get a lot of the clients that have the same issue even after 5min game play with sound of the jet engine the console shuts down, you will be shocked once you open and clean the console and realize how much quiet it can get.

you should be repasting once every 2years and cleaning once a year.
you can just clean the dust, just make sure you don't remove the heatsink, if you separate the heatsink you will have to replace the thermal paste.
What did you do with the small black part you put on the side.
🫠Regarding your question, those are useless case edge protectors and they have no purpose and no need for them.

it is #9 from the ifixit tool set, your set may be different, use a bit that fits snuggly in the screwhead.

I can’t get the stupid clips to go on right I almost get it then the right side pops out again
i wish i could help you but the correct way of opening is the way in the video, i understand that sometimes it can be stubborn and not pop out use a bit of force.
I got them and it performs well now! It was just difficult the other day when I couldn’t get the clips to go in properly and it kept popping out when putting it back together
