Hey Matt, if you guys were to go to the County planning office, you should be able to get a copy of the original plans for the main Lodge. Then, you take that set of plans to a reputable architect (I can give you a reference or two if you'd like) and you can rebuild it but to a better standard than it was originally.

For the old main building, get a structural engineer to say what can be reused to support new structure. If not, they may be able to put a self supporting steel beam structure around it to keep them. Also, get a 3D scan of the place to help with modeling efforts if that happens.
Y’all should turn the burned down skeleton into an outdoor eating area if it’s not possible to save leave everything there chimneys and all and use outdoor nets to enclose it with lights. Might be pretty cool to see
I know it is a lot of work, but i could easily consume these updates in 1 hour videos. I'm so excited for you and cant wait to bring my son out to stay. We are only a few hours away in the DFW area.
All caught up now with the series. This project is going to take many years. Will be very interesting to see it rebuilt and if you can make it profitable again. One would think that with the growth in the area and in Austin and San Antonio, about an hour and a half away and half an hour away, that there would be enough people in the area interested to make it work. I still say developing the riverfront area on the extreme northeastern portion of the property could be a big key to the ranch's success.

That stone is super expensive if you can save most of that stonework from the 20s you’d be way ahead financially get you a good Mason out there to read Tuckpointing clean it up and repair it and then start putting the structure back together on top

Roofing over the lodge building pad, and tying together/repairing stone wall sections, you could make a nice pavilion that could be used for events again. Some selective wall deletion and tree clearing would open up views and breezes too.

Here's an idea for you with all the stuff you are finding about the old place you should make a small museum suction showing all the stuff that you have found in one of the buildings you are going to make you should put the museum in like the main office building so when guests come they can see the history of the property before you owned it

You're going to have sooooooo much firewood! Then you can grill the goats!!!! If you find or buy a cheap 20 foot shipping container cut the top off. Then there are wheel/dolly systems you can buy/make for them to turn them into a huge trailer. Fill it with the timber/wood and haul to another part of the property to dump it for later use.

You need a big loader/hauler and use all that rubble as core material in a backstop.
