    Yo man. Hella inspired to make my own Cuban after this. I’m wondering what gauge your 14k was before making jump rings and the final width of the bracelet with that gauge. And if you don’t mind sharing your secret, how do I know what size rod to wrap the links around for a tight fit link. Thanks 4 your time

    Checking out the video from Canada. Thanks for the great video. What would your recommended mandrel size be for best results using 2mm sterling silver wire. Ive been messing around all day but haven't had very good results. I would appreciate any advice you could give to help me along.

    Now that is a real Miami Cuban link chain. They must be handmade to be a real chain. The lock is also awesome. That lock is not coming loose. Maybe one day I can afford a chain made by you.

    What do you use to wrap the wire around? I have only been able to find round metal rods and not the oval kind that you need for that shape, I appreciate any info on what or where you get that shaped metal from.

    • @Danielkwi598
      @Danielkwi598 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can use round brass rods. Take them and flatten them a little using your rolling mill, that's how u get the oval shape. There is a good book by Alan Revere called "Professional Jewelry Making". In it he explains how to make different types of chains and rings, I think clasps too, including the cuban link.

  • @prestonthibo9744
    @prestonthibo9744 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    major respect man. I've made a few cubans before and the twist is not an easy journey by any means especially to get it to hang straight. what aspect ratio did you use for your wire and rod to twist it around? your copper wire looked round but the links look oval did you wrap around an oval spindle or reshape after? I'd love to see more on how you avoid your chain from twisting when hanging straight but also getting good movement when worn. Keep up the good work
