@@sunderhaufad2964 SMH!! I understand your mentality. I thought like that too. I wanted to be a part of the Have Nots, who just keep their heads down and grind. Then I was an E-5 stationed in VA and I realized that retirement pay a 30 year Master Chief is close to prior enlisted Lieutenant at 20 years. Don't worry, it all sucks Enlisted and Officer. As an officer you get to decide if you want to sit in the desk or get out there and grind. As an enlisted your job is to grind and at the end of a career you get skittles for pension, some disability and information on how to get another job. Go ahead and enlist, but don't lose sight of the fact that one day you'll be a civilian again. It's better to leave with a large pension, because pride can't buy your groceries.
I’m ex-Navy enlisted. My son just graduated from Navy OCS last weekend and is going into supply. I couldn’t be happier or prouder. He’s making far better choices than I ever did. If you go Navy, go officer.
@@markseitz1810 I desire to do the same. I have my bachelor's degree and want to serve my country. If you or your son have any pointers on the best place to start, my ears are open. Thank you.
I appreciate all these men and women, officer or enlisted you are all appreciated, every rate, every rank. We love and thank you .words can't explain the courage, the commitment and the honer that each and everyone of you sailors have. God bless.
Great video! I remember watching the older video that came out almost a decade ago prior to going to OCS and it was very helpful. This video is a nice update and gives an accurate view of what a big deck Suppo goes through

I served as a Boiler Technician 2nd class aboard the USS Raleigh LPD-1 amphibious transport dock 45 years ago. Glad to see the Navy hasn't given up on normal/ non-nuclear steam propulsion.
When I left Japan after being stationed on a CG, I left with some good knowledge about older rates. BT included. I kept ordering your guys old slip on boots until the supply ran out lol.
SUPPO was God on every ship I served in over a 22 year career riding in tin cans. They were almost as critical to ship operations as we Snipes were! LOL 😂 MMCM(SW) ret
24 year enlisted Submarine sailor. My advice, If you join the Navy, do so as an officer. Supply Officer is a good choice.
I’m ganna join the navy, do officers work at computers? If so I’ll join as enlisted I hate desk jobs
