Hi Shannon and Matt,I love this new format that includes chordal ideas, and then substitution on the final version, you get the complete combo, melody and chords!😊
Totally agree. A very simple chord scheme like in this tune needs only small variations to lift it. In the second round at session speed I noticed in particular the D over F# and the Bm (if I'm not mistaken)
Have you done anything on how to play reels more generally? I am learning the tin whistle and I really struggle to get it to sound anything other than a long line of notes. Jigs would be good too.
Thank you very much for these videos I have learnt a lot from you! I would like to ask you to play the banks of the newfoundland jig. I'm trying to learn it now and a video from you would be very helpful Greetings
Thanks, Cathal. Can definitely see the challenge with two instros here. Good point. Maybe next time I'll play through a tune purely solo once, in addition to the duo offering.
Muchas gracias esta fantástico el nuevo formato. Muchas gracias por vuestra generosidad. Love
So glad you like the new format, And thank YOU for sharing your time and tuning in and learning these tunes with us!
Great to hear a picker snapper run through to help cement the melody.
Yes! I think it's a nice perspective. Thanks.

Great! We had a few requests to do ONE time without any backing, so might try that as well. Works in progress...
Love the third in the bass!!
