Hello all I'm new to fish keeping, would I be able to keep like 2 of these by themselves in a 29 gallon or do they get to large for that. I've seen anything from 3 to 7 inches in length
Dog both those sponge filters carry the bio-load of the fish fine. Algae works the same as any other plants btw (filters the water naturally/reduce nitrates) I’m sure OP does regular tank maintenance, water changes, gravel vac
@@Walker82kg they will show some aggression at times,but not not overly aggressive to fight to death...the bigger the tank,the better to avoid aggression

A 29 gallon might be a little small for them at full size however they do sell dwarfs, I think that is where you are getting that 3in
