It's pretty impressive that a tracker device can even survive inside this breaker, or jackhammer like we say in America. After all, the tool is used to violently break up concrete.
That “breaker” is a hydraulic attachment for an excavator, there is no compressor in this video. I wouldn’t have thought any electronic device could survive long on a jack hammer, given its violent shaking, their tracking device must be very robust.
Officer, it was my cousin whom we don't speak to that brought them there machines into the yard, we have no idea where he is, he promised to tarmac the site for us!

AutomatricsMTrack would be cool in situations like this to have a sting set up with either hidden surveillance or investigators to catch the thieves red handed moving or selling the goods.
If you want to be "hidden in plain sight" before the police arrive, get a dog leash and carry it in your hand along with the DF receiver. If anyone asks, you can tell them that you are looking for a lost dog. The dog is an expensive pure breed and has a locator beacon in the collar.
Difficult question to answer..... some cause customers problems but others don't. For the ones that do in the plant equipment environment our services can at least offer a 98% theft recovery opportunity.
"We're just having a shift change. See you in 20". Translates to "Go away, we've got drunk teens to arrest". Four hours later: "Sarge. We've got £100k of stolen merch. Might get a spot on the local news". "I'll be right there".
There's no rush. But maybe you think the guy who stole all this stuff is going to rush right over with a diesel rig and flatbed trailer to whisk the stolen goods away while Automatrics is filming?
@@Cryptonymicus Yeah of course. It's fine to sit there in the dead of night in an unfamiliar area watching 100k's worth of stolen property. All the time in the world.

Perhaps the oddest (funny) report i read of a "tracked" recovery was a chap out flying his powered hang glider when he spotted his mates expensive caravan going down the road, so he phoned his mate and asked him where he was heading for. His mate replied, "nowhere, i'm at home.....why?" So hang glider guy asked him if his caravan was still in the drive. It wasn't! "No problem" said hang glider guy...."i'm above it right now in my hang glider" and continued following it while his friend called the police who liaised with hang glider guy and arrest was made pretty swiftly!
That's a huge haul. I hope the police felt it worth while to fingerprint the enclosed cab unit to catch and very publicly prosecute these felons, which will probably lead to a larger ring of criminals.
Alot of theft problems in that country. I bet your justice system has a revolving door policy for thieves. Slap their hands and tell them they are naughty and let them back out in a week or so.
Each time they get caught they have to give a share of the takings to the magistrate... Just a big cat and mouse GAME, no real risk to the pikeys at all.

For situations like this, you should use a drone and put the rf tracker on it, then code some firmware to let the drone find the strongest signal and ping that locatoin to your phone ^^
It amazes me how know one ever hears anyone dumping or parking these high value items, all to often thieves steal these things and leave them in an area for a month or 2 to see if anyone comes along with the trackers. Should leave them with new trackers on all of them there and when they are moved again you will know they are moving and catch the thieving gits with them on the back of a lorry
Good question , attachments are much more frequently stolen as they are very easy to sell on, machines however have traceable VIN numbers or RFID tags. Also Plant hire company's don't really care that much if a machine is stolen as they get the hire company to pay for a replacement and all the rental time (which can sometimes be a new machine for old ). However the end users are starting to cotton-on and mandate to the hire company's that they only want machines with professionally monitored theft recovery tracking systems fitted before they hire. This is all Part of CPA hire rules and European Rental Association (ERA). Automatrics have created a new ERA theft security risk assessment standard for end uses which will also help them select appropriate preventative or recovery needs in the event of theft. In this case the hire company (our customer) who have our security trackers in their attachments were pioneering a new industry USP to gain more business. As it reduces theft replacement costs of their customers. Something we would love them to roll out across their fleet
Excellent system for recovery. when hammer hits the concrete, everything get good shake, even ground around not only hammer... action-reaction my friend...
I watched video of both recoveries of this tool and I didn't see a compressor with it the first time.
this particular hammer is attachment for excavator or bobcat, not hand operated...

Well all I can say is that your trackers are built well if they sit inside a breaker unit.
of all of the huge machines that were stolen, they had the tracker in the smallest and least valuble?
The thieves wouldn't think that such a small item would have a tracker and so wouldn't put much effort into trying to find one.
Smaller things are easier to steal and most likely to get stolen
This must be so frustrating for you, it seems as if the police have been overcome with tremendous apathy when it comes to dealing with high end theft.
