So I'm always good for at least one mistake per video, in this one I mentioned that the Russian sub could have attacked the German sub in the combat movement phase. However, Russia is not at war with Germany and can't do that.

I previously thought the China token was a must get for Japan. But after watching this turn, I see it's very defendable.

The movement towards Japan is excellent. It keeps them more honest for a turn or two. I really liked how you explained getting the fast movers being closer to the road. Those seemingly tiny details are where the good players and separated from the great players.

I think it would be helpful for the US video to explain to viewers the Japanese move and the risk and benefits of building 100% pacific, Atlantic or a mix. Especially considering the round limitations and the risk of either losing London or losing Sydney or the US islands token. It is fun following the series.

General Akbar would say "It´s a trap!" to the 12 russians in Amur . I have an idea for hte US turn. Build two Carriers for SZ 10 and a harbour on Line Islands and move all the naval units from San Francisco to SZ29. The Cruiser + Transporter can move from SZ101 to SZ51while the units from Hawai and the sub from Philippines move to SZ54 next to Queensland. Moving the US destroyer from Manila to SZ46 as a blocker. Of course the UK Pac should also put a blocker in SZ 49. Yes it is all out Pacific for the moment but the harbour in Line Islands provides the flxibillity to move to Caroline Islands or Queensland from there. If Japan retreats, all naval units can move to Carolines Islands next turn.

Mao refers to the ruthless communist leader of China, Mao Tse Tung. Mao (pronounced like “now” except with an M at the beginning). Awesome content. First time playing Axis and Allies was in 1988. I still play TripleA even now. Keep up the content creation, it’s great. Always loved military history.

Bold to declare war on Japan with no incentive I would have just waited tbh until turn 2.
Side note and Something I have to add is that I think Russia and China were done pretty poorly in axis and allies from the first game to the last, there is only so many times I can take the endless German and Japanese sandwich, to fix it they really needed to make Russia more economically powerful than either of those nations individually, makes sense considering they were the 2nd biggest industrial power of the time period. War room is in my mind the pure gem of Larry's gaming experience.

Nice video, I agree with the take of helping China as much as possible without losing anything in the west, but I feel like the buy could be optimized. I think if you want the “punch” of a tactical that you are better off going with a Strategic bomber. While the defense of a strat is negligible, one parked in Moscow has great reach - it can hit Burmese Road, the Med and the German front all at once. Just an idea!

Love your videos. Great work. How about moving the two Russian planes to the Chinese stack? Could that be an idea? They can still hit manchuria if needed.

I mean Mao Tse Tung the leader off the chineese communist party. They had a big base in the mountains with most off their soldiers building up and playing the long game.
Soviets are in a wait-and-see, Axis seems to focus on the West but did not buy any ships or move units away from you (yet). I'd have bought some infantry still iIF they turn on you instead.

Seems to me that the TE rules make for a very European sided game for the axis. If they are successful in sealion they should be able to take Africa (as UK is now useless) and then having 6 victory cities use their transports to take the northern city of Russia giving them 3 tokens: 7 victory cities, northern Africa and London. The changes made on the Japan side on the other hand seem to tame that nation. If you set up Russia and and UK P like you did it is impossible for japan to take China. this gives Japan next to no objectives to gain and a lot to loose as Calcutta can become quite the power house. With this Asia will be very hard to take and will require a lot of Japan's resources merely to keep a hold of. This leaves very little for a invasion of Sydney. In the end Japan played to perfection would be a net zero (as long as America stays prudent in the pacific) leaving for most of the important action to only be done in Europe around the Mediterranean. I am expecting you thought of this so what is the thing Japan can do differently for this not to be the case? Also Russia becomes a very key nation in this game mode. Doing another Russia tutorial would be great as it protects a lot of objectives for the allies and should be responsible for keeping Germany honest at its eastern border if it tries sealion, Africa or both as it could then capture the occupation token as well.

I did re read the rules on A&A .org and the extra NO's given to UK will help them hold off a potential sealion. Maybe japan should get extra IPC's for taking parts of china to help them out?
