    Lots of light and ferts do the job. Bu it needs trimming or will grow upward, because it has no space on the sides (due to the grow).

    Hi there. Thanks for the interest. Sorry, but no mistakes. It's true that Hemianthus Callitrichoides is well known as Cuba, but the name is Hemianthus Callitrichoides is correct.
    Likewise if you visit Tropica site you'll see that "Proserpinaca Palustris"Cuba"" is the name that they give on their site, like i wrote on the video. Thanks.

    • @pmgsrosa

      No, led lights have less wats with the same amount of light. Use a PAR meter if needed.

    how do you keep your hydrocotyle grow so low? even I used very bright (55w X 2 in 2.5ft tank) light they still grow upward....

  • @9929kingfish
    @9929kingfish 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    what kind of lights?

  • @Blunper
    @Blunper 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I had to take out my Discus too from my planted tank. Planted tank and Discus aren't a good combination. Yes, it would work, but it requires to much work! Better that have Discus alone in their own tank. Do the water changes and they will be happy.

    • @StanTheObserver-lo8rx
      @StanTheObserver-lo8rx 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Discus hate the bright lights needed for plant Aquariums. Sands and gravels breed pathogens they are not immune to. Why the biggest best Discus- and oldest- are in breeders bare tanks.

  • @pmgsrosa
    @pmgsrosa  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Don't know exactly that to answer you. Research on the Net is my biggest advice. With experience it'll be easier to make good combinations.

  • @kaijiekohh
    @kaijiekohh 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    How did you end up with this combination of fish ? My local shop did not give advice and I did inadequate research , so my combination of fishes was a disaster ..

    I don't mean any trouble but I think that your rotala indica is actually rotundifolia, it used to always be called indica but it's real name is rotala rotundifolia

  • @pmgsrosa
    @pmgsrosa  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    I used Elos Terra for this one.
    I change ~40% water every week.

  • @Elehew1
    @Elehew1 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    why not showing your whole tank layout again?

  • @pmgsrosa
    @pmgsrosa  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    At this time i was using ADA ferts (Step 3, Brighty Lights and Brighty K). Lots of CO2 also. No more, no less :-)
    I never use active carbon. You can use it at the beginning when using fertile substrate, but remove it after 1, 2 o3 3 months at maximum. You are loosing nutrients with active carbon.

    Hi Pedro, can you please tell me how to attach Fissiden to rocks??? in the layout I have 3 large stones, on which I want to create some small bushes by using Fissiden. But have no idea how to do that or how to fix them to the stones, Please HELP!!!

    • @pmgsrosa
      @pmgsrosa  11 ปีที่แล้ว

      Joy, please watch my video "Forest Shore Step-by-step" where i show how to attach another moss to wood. It's the same for Fissiden and rocks. Enjoy.

      @joy22883 11 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pedro Rosa But how to tie the moss to the large rock face. It wont look good if I cover the whole stone with black thread. Did you see this year's grand prize in IAPLC? Something like that.

    • @pmgsrosa
      @pmgsrosa  11 ปีที่แล้ว

      joy22883 Attach the moss to smaller rocks that you just put above the large rocks or between rocks, wood, etc. You can use wood instead by only if it'll not float.

    • @pmgsrosa

      Reborn because it was partially remade. This aquarium was not using led light. Why do you ask that?

  • @alanle249
