If someone is using google maps for their business and is interested in taking things higher and get more business the only remotely interesting thing this guy said was at 4:53 he said you can add keywords you want to rank for to your homepage and the h1 tag on your website, which is maybe the least helpful of all the things he could have talked about to beef up your profile and make it rank. I was just setting up a GMB/GBP the other day and that web designer option was not in the list... Unless I'm blind, but I was scrolling that list looking for anything relevant to web design for like 20 minutes straight and didn't find anything close. I think I remember consulting being one of the options though. I guess I could've chosen that, but I don't think I'm at the consultant level yet
Not sure if this is the correct way, but does it really matter if we are selecting the city we are currently in? Like Can I select a city which is in USA?
This really only works if you live in a big city or a developed country I'm Nigerian and all the clients here want to pay $300 - $750 tops and that's for an extremely advanced website But it's good if there's no money for the month

@william Dont give in, everythings changed now, i see alot of indians chargeing 25-50$ us dollars. Not many people are willing to work cheaply globally anymore
I managed to get into the 3-pack and stay there for more than 3 months in my local city now... relatively small town with 70k people in eastern Europe. I only had 2 leads come in, in 3 months. This does only work in developed countries within reasonably large cities. Ranking mine was an utter waste of time.
@@christosdaglis1163 I advertise all over the globe and 2 leads in 3 months is what is see with ads too. The slower it is I think we have to jack up prices for the lag economy to cover expences.
Everyone knows that but from a SEO it's still more valuable to use GMB until everyone catches on. There are still more searches for GMB than Google Business Profile.
