    1) be gracious 2) how you get that number? 3) ask for time to think 4) they are different from what I expect. Don’t say high or Low (if they ask u for response) 5) move conversation from negotiation to logistics

Finally a video that didn't waste my time with 5 minutes of saying the same thing or drawing one point out for forever. Thank you for the excellent tips, the to-the-point style, the out-takes at the end (love being reminded that we are all human and NOT perfect)! Keep up the great work and thank you again!

Great tips! Just got a job offer that was almost $10K lower than my last position. I said I would think on it but the more I think on it the offer was insulting. Turning them down tomorrow.

Personal thought: if you are looking how to negotiate it means that you have few to none experience in doing so.
Do you really want to have a call with a person whose main job is negotiating salaries, eventually with a psychology degree? Chances are that will play with you with zero effort.
I've always negotiated via email cause I can choose carefully what to say and ask for advice from people with more experience than me.

This is one of the more favorable videos I've watched. It was short, sweet and to the point. Liked the ideas you brought out. Awesome - now I have an idea of what to say! You should do a video for older workers who are not up to the new process of interviewing and job searches! I think they would get a lot out of the simplicity!

    1) "How did you arrive at this offer" *pause* 2)"is there anything else that when into this? 3) Ask them for time to think about it 4) if they ask what you think then say "numbers are different than what I expected but let me think about it " 5)When will you all circle back. Say "let me check my calendar"

I have had a few interviews with the same company. I looked up the typical salary range on indeed. It said for my area 75k.At the end of my phone interview I was very sick, and so exhausted. Then they said the budget was 48k, and a pay raise of 50k in one month. I wrote in a prior written interview with the same place that my salary requirements were 69k-75k for a program director position, and I listed the benefits that they typicly provide.48k is quite a bit less then what I financially wanted in the written first interview. I just said okay.
I was so upset with myself. I agreed to move onto the next interview. Which is with three different people (a panel interview) these are people that I have not met yet. When I have the next interview can I talk about the salary, and ask for a higher salary? It sounds like from the video maybe I should call the person back, and discuss the amount? I just had the interview on Thursday alot of days have passed since then. Can you please tell me should I call the lady back and ask where the numbers came up? How much closer they could come up to what I wanted?

Last week, I received the result of an interview I did recently and I was offered the job over the phone. I said okay to the salary they mentioned without negotiating because I am a recent graduate and I don't have any experience in the field (the job is as a software developer/cloud engineer and I studied Biochemistry) - so by taking me on they actually have to train me before I start doing any work that contributes to the company. I am still awaiting the formal offer via e-mail so In my case, would I still be in a position to negotiate my salary?

I applied for a engineering job, got to the last stage and was offered an internship for 3months with a conditional 1 year contract after the 3 months. At the same time I got an another offer and when i told the internship company, they mentioned i could check in to see what they can offer. How should i go about renegotiation, if i have already accepted the internship, i haven't signed the contract yet? Their stipend is about 20% the fulltime

I didn’t understand a lot of things. What is how I get numbers? And how can I communicate the phone call? Ok. I’ll say thanks and? What will I ask? How will I ask them? For example; clothe codes, job branch, training, when will they send the job offer, where will they send it, I will call his name or his name+surname, will I say Mr? Maybe he is not call himself as a he? Anyway, I believed in not finding a video about these.

Dude if you ask them for sometime to think about it twice just so you can get back with the answer, you might as well sign up for unemployment in advance. At most the negotiation process is happened on the first offer within 1-2 days, if you can’t make decision by then. It is mostly going to be over. There is no such thing as second time to think about it. If you don’t accept it first time, there are probably 10 more others dude waiting in line. One is more than enough. You either take it or leave it.
