There’s a zombie limit, at around 80 zombies or something like that. If you cap out the zombie limit by kiting in the area with the 2 cannons, you can essentially cheese the whole thing by not having to kill zombies. This lets you push the cart and survive in the final graveyard without much worry.
Its to hit more zombies at the same time. Just looking in one direction only allows you to only hit 1 zombie at a time, while flicking while slashing allows you to hit multiple
