The name of the instrument is also pronounced in two distinct syllables, Goo-Jung. The “ung” is as in “hunger”, no need to elongate it into “ooong.” The Japanese version of it is called the koto, but the Chinese guzheng is the original. It’s not normally strung this way, but obviously this way you can play Western music on it. With all those picks, you can create wonderful, multi voiced textures on it, and it’s so big that it resonates extremely well. She’s a wonderful talent and is doing a great job exploring its capabilities.

Let me tell you the truth, Moyun is the Lord of Guzheng, as far as i know so far nobody managed to beat her guzheng playing speed and style.
