Yes, she separates her private life and her professional life like very few in the show business. She disclose/explore herself inside her work (lyrics, videos, lives) with hard sincerity for her fans. But she doesn't give herself to the press and the show business.
And she write her lyrics. She's a killer with words. She plays with them, it's beautiful, emotional or funny. She's the queen of sexy pun too.
She actively participate in her music videos and everything about her work.

I think it's like once you see this, you can't get it out of your mind anymore (not that you want to 😃) , it just pulls you in deeper and deeper. For me this and 2019 intro is the best, even tho all her intros and finales are great. Even the music they were playing before her 2019 show started got stuck in my mind, especially Archive (which is a band Mylene loves seemingly) - Erase (Last Chance remix), it's just all so so good.
The way they also played it (if I’m correct) during the cinema last year.. during the 5 min countdown..

In French the words and evils are pronounced the same. all her lyrics are full of puns, double meanings, that's why she never wanted to make an international career. It was difficult for her to transpose her words her feelings on a language other than hers
To be in star in France it's very difficult and most of the time it s does not last very long.
So mylene farmer is the biggest star in France now but also for 35 years.

She was singing since Eighties and you don't know her VIDEOS which are EPIC! There are LIBERTINE in 1986, POURVU QU'ELLES SOIENT DOUCES called "Libertine II" (The SEQUEL 2 years after), TRISTANA and SANS CONTREFACON ( it deals with sexual ambiguity) in 1987, AINSI SOIT JE.... in 1988 a "ballad" (video in sepia color), SANS LOGIQUE and A QUOI JE SERS... in 1989.
These VIDEOS built the LEGEND and Farmer's Universe so particular! : sex, blood, religion, death, etc....
