Wow - I started the Hachette Bismarck model years ago - got about 2 thirds through it and then had to move home - never got a chance to complete it - this is so beautiful - well done - awesome - didn't know they had a Tirpitz option - something to think about -
Just go for it and finish your Bismarck. It is so worth it! I started with the Bismarck too and then had a break of 7 or 8 years. Finally in 2017 i finished the Bismarck, started with the Hood which is nearing its completion now and with the Scharnhorst my progress is like it is here at time index 7:07.

Hab von Hachette die Titanic von den 2000ern, 1 Jahr Bauzeit, daher kann ich es sehr gut nachempfinden wie das ist die Früchte seines Schaffens endlich hinzustellen.

@@DarthMaultier Ratenzahlung geht meist nicht und 250+€ fallen bei nem Studenten schon ganz schön rein. Also lieber erstmal sparen.

Great model, very well done. It seems to see the real Scharnhorst. A lot of details. Painting is very well done. I've spent four years to build the Bismarck in same scale, so I fully appreciate your job, very accurate. It is a pity the half swastikas on deck

He ever talk about how much of a beating Scharn took before she went down? Talk about going down swinging. She took like 20 torps!

Hey, das ist wirklich ein schönes Schiff! Ich habe sie auch, jedoch noch nicht fertiggestellt, da mir ein paar Teile leider abhanden gekommen sind. Ich baue demnächst die Metall Bismarck und freue mich schon sehr! Gute Arbeit, tolles Schiff und sehr schön anzusehen!

This isnt SMS Scharnhorst, though? SMS Scharnhorst was an Armoured Cruiser, sunk in the Battle of the Falklands in 1914. This here is the Battleship Scharnhorst from 1939

Es ist ja nicht nur schwierig ein Modell in der Größe zu bekommen sondern es auch noch so umzusetzen und so perfekt zu bauen wie es dir gelungen ist.
Absoluten Respekt klasse Arbeit.
Wenn ich im Modell in dieser Größe gebaut hätte,hätte ich das wie du auch in einem Glasvitrine gestellt🤘🤘👌👍

Ne neue kostet 480$und braucht ca 4 bis 5 Monate bis es in Deutschland ist......wenn mein Ami freund schnell reagiert.
Ich bin Kriegsschiff gamer mit einem kanal und liebe schiffe insbesondere kriegsschiffe sehr.....und ich habe ein mega Respekt vor dir das du das auch noch selbst gebaut hast und dann noch die größe....

@@DarthMaultier neee keine neue Nase.....der dreck Sack hat die ganze Nase abgebissen.....war nur noch n Fall für die see Bestattung.....musste das neu bestellen....war aber schon fertig das Model......Warships is auch gut aber find ich kannst du nicht so viel Quatsch einbauen.....hab früher viel BOW gespielt....aber jetzt hab ich mit dem kanal so viel zu tun......mag das schneiden und aus dem langweiligen video was lustiges zu zaubern....video aufnehmen geht schnell aber gestallten und schneiden.....dauert Tage....
@@DarthMaultier plastikmodelbau hab ich auch ne Weile gemacht.....aber dafür hab ich leider keine Zeit......es is ja nicht nur das basteln.....es ist ja auch noch so das du erstmal große finden musst.....wie Bismarck,Yamato,Richelieu,Scharnhorst.......und dann noch der Preis

Love the ship, you did a great job 👍. However, without the swastikas it looks incomplete. I know it's probably illegal in your country but I've never heard of anyone turning into a nazi simply by looking at one.

This is the best argument i ever heard about the problem with swastikas in modell Kits.
I 'm half german while the other half is from Denmark.
I live in Germany and the paradox is that we use a lot names that came from the Naziregime...
In every country of the world you need a driving license which name is driving license.But in germany the name for driving license to this day is》Fuehrerschein....
Also the German Bundeswehr was formed under assistence of 4 German Wehrmacht Generals a few years later after WW2....
But gettin upset about swatiskas in modell Kits...
So absurd..but its true.Whenever some modell Kits from WW2 come over to germany from a out of country production the german bordercontrol open up the boxes and take all of the symbols out of the box or paint the swatiskas black..Most of the time they send the modells to revell germany and they take the decals out of the box...
Because its against the law.

Hello, whats the reasoning behinf turning a lot of the mainhull and the superstructure into wood? Is the kit full of inaccuracies? ANyway, this is such a great looking showpiece and now I want to see even more!
What make manufactured ? of model is this, please
Sieht echt toll aus. Blöde Anfänger-Fragen: Enthält diese Art von Kit nebst Farbe alles, was man braucht oder muss man sich z.B. die Beplankung zusammenkaufen und -schneiden? Ist ein Modell dieser Bauart und Grösse nach Deiner Einschätzung einfacher als z.B. ein kleinerer Kunststoff-Bausatz von Revell oder Tamyia? Oder ist es einfach etwas anderes mit seinen eigenen Stolpersteinen?
Danke. Es waren alle Bauteile vorhanden. Werkzeuge, Farben waren dabei, aber ich habe sie nicht verwendet. Lackierung ist komplett mit der Airbrush gemacht. Ein Plastik- Bausatz ist wesentlich einfacher zu bauen, da Rumpf und Aufbauten ja größtenteils bereits fertig zum Verkleben vorhanden sind. Ich hatte vorher noch nie so ein Holzmodell gebaut, aber wenn man vorher in irgendeiner Art Modellbau betrieben hat, kommt man auch so eine Modell hin.
@@DarthMaultier Danke für die Erklärungen. Aber gross sägen musstest Du, wenn ich das richtig verstanden habe, nicht: Die Teile kamen in gelaserten Bögen, nicht? Dachte bloss, es sei allenfalls einfacher als kleinmassstäbliche Modelle, da es weniger winzige Teile zu verbauen gibt.
@@relentlezz Zu Sägen gab es nichts. Die Schwierigkeit bestand bei den Messingätzteilen aus denen Strukturen erstellt werden mussten. Such mal nach Marios Schiffsmodellbau. Er hat zu allen Bauschritten Videos gemacht.
Sehr schönes Modell, Respekt dafür. Aber warum wird mir das Video nach dem (letzten) Derby Sieg vorgeschlagen.... 😘

Danke Dir. Ich habe nur dieses eine Schiff gebaut, weil ich es mal probieren wollte. Für mehr Schiffe dieser Größe habe ich derzeit keinen Platz und ehrlich gesagt, war mir diese Ätzteilorgie zu viel 😉😁 Ich wünsche Dir viel Erfolg und Geduld bei der Fertigstellung Deines Schiffes.
@@DarthMaultier Danke. Ich bin derzeit noch mit der Hood beschäftigt. Habe eine Zeit lang Hood und Scharnhorst parallel gebaut. Bis ich dann, wie bereits erwähnt, beim Bauzustand 7:07 min stehengeblieben bin und mich erstmal auf die Hood konzentriert habe. Hatte 2004 mit der Bismarck angefangen. Nach der ersten Grundlackierung des Rumpfes hatte ich erstmal genug und habe aus diversen Gründen erstmal Pause gemacht. Die Pause war dann am Ende 8 Jahre. Habe die Bismarck dann 2015 wieder weitergebaut und 2017 fertiggestellt.

Rund 1000 Euro, Farben, Kleber und sonstiges Material exklusive. Fällt aber auf 3 Jahre verteilt ja nicht so auf 😉

Mein Opa war im 2. Weltkrieg auf der Scharnhorst und hatte überlebt.
Wenn sie fertig ist, sieht dass Modell ja sehr gut aus. Mir haben allerdings die Ätzteile nicht gefallen. Viel zu dick und die ließen sich sehr schlecht verarbeiten. Auch hat mir die Qualität nicht so zugesagt. Ich bin dann abgesprungen. Aber, Glückwunsch zum Modell.
Stimmt, die Ätzteile waren ziemlich ätzend. 😉 Nochmal baue ich sowas nicht.

Ich werde die Hakenkreuze voll ausmalen. Da es sich ja um ein Historisches Modell handelt und nicht um eine Meinungsäußerung. Das gehört nun mal dazu. Auch wenn einige es nicht sehen wollen. Ansonsten top geworden. Ich hab noch ein wenig zu tun, bis se fertig is.
Für Dich zu Hause kannst Du das gerne tun, nur öffentlich zeigen darfst Du es so nicht. Ein historisches Foto darf man dagegen zeigen und wird ja in Zeitungen und Zeitschriften auch gemacht. Für mich spielt das keine Rolle. Ich kenne das HK und weiß, dass es früher überall drauf war... für mein Hobby aber absolut überflüssig ist.
Naja, wenn Originalgetreu dann mit allem. Warum da so ein Theater um das Symbol im Modellbau gemacht wird. Es spiegelt ja nicht meine Meinung wieder. Aber trotzdem toll gabaut👍
