Can anyone explain to me why it is so satisfying to watch a Ryu player? Is it nostalgia, or something else? Cause damn, there is just SOMEthing about basic SF that I love.
Govey Jones I think it's because ryu is one of the few honest characters in this game. No invisible mixups, vortex loops, free poke into vtrigger shenanigans. Just clean play and smart decision making. It's also fun to watch low tier and underrepresented characters do well.
ryu and zangief both are so fun to watch, it's just clean and true gameplay and reads. im glad snake_eyes is doing great wtih zangief i can enjoy watching sfv tournaments now !
You need extreme discipline, patience, and match up knowledge to be a good ryu. it's difficult to even to get diamond with ryu. Sasakiki is definitely a master ryu player.
Better & Better Graphics inside Television looks boring now..Need to have a hologram projector Street Fighter Game inside my room with Mr.Gouken vs Akuma standing live in front of me and throwing hadokens lightening inside my room and like to see Gouken throwing Dengin Hadoken inside my room.

Zangief has insane oki bs. Ryu does not. Do not put them in the same category.
