I have been waiting for this video since I've been holding off buying a sniper 2. I originally wanted to buy a hyperspark distributor and was ready to buy it until I found out that you need to purchase a separate ignition box just to run it is that correct?
To run the hyperspark you need the kit. It has the distributor, box, and coil. The hyperspark 2 is nicer because the box is smaller. In my opinion controlling timing is the best way to get all the benefits. Contact us is you want a sniper 2 kit with ignition.
This is hilarious!.. Im just finishing up a 68 Camaro build, with a 396 and the sniper 1. I didnt build engine of pick that crap injection. Ive taken off 2 sniper 1s and put carbs back on.. Im sure after a bit, customer will ask if there is anything we can do to this injection.. Right in the trash can!...
Yep, I’ve had nothing but problems with my Sniper 1, going back to an Edelbrock carburetor. I’ve never had problems with the carb. If I was going to do an EFI swap again, I would go with an LS motor complete with all the factory wiring and transmission. I don’t think it’s worth spending the money all over again for the same product just to take a chance, shame on you Holley
