Maybe the Clippers should do a "Lonzo" with Kawhi. So he doesn't play for a year starting now, all the while rehabilitating his knee, then so be it. His health is more important, as he has to live with that knee after basketball.
No play, even if he is playing, practicing with no problems on his knee. If after a year of relative inactivity, he starts training and playing regularly and his knee problems resurface... then yeah, retire.

Maybe Kawhi should wear a knee brace while playing

Paul George the same, they were smart not to make him an offer. They old and are no longer two way players. You are in LA with a new state of an art building, you don’t have to overpay to get and keep superstars.

Those “old” non two way players had us on a 25-6 and 31-8 run going through the entire league last season. Championship aspirations.

Maybe he should lighten his workload and gradually build up

One thing I hate is when dudes talk mad shit about the clippers as a franchise then complain that Kawhi is taking their money as if they actually care about the organization.. some of Ticket takes are valid but he gives off the whole emotional cry baby energy mookie jones got they be half way crying about basketball millionaires 😂😂

Clippers should have known better. They were bidding against themselves. They said he had a degenerate knee about five years ago. I knew he would stop playing when he got the contract. He work through the pain when that money on the line, once it’s guaranteed not so mich. Retire dude, or take a major pay cut to be a part time player. Your contract affects the team building a contender.
