- This Apartment is Awesome, its got Floor to Ceiling Windows, 2 Baths, Tons of Space and its in a Gorgeous Doorman building in Soho by the Hudson River Parkway. Totally amazing, but the issue is I’m Too Cheap to live here as the asking price is way above my budget. Check out this NYC Apartment tour with Special Guest @taylorwynn who is an absolute rockstar. I used to go there all the time back in the day, saw Richie Havens there and met him, spoke to him.
I love the first apartment. It is a homage to original construction, no franken chopping, no trendy finishes,. It's a blank canvas ready to be personalized
I would hunt down a formica and chrome table with chairs, or an old wooden table with a painted tin top to keep the old time feeling. I would rather live retro than Jetsons.

The Windmere is an awesome building . I was taking pictures outside of it yesterday. Before they made all of the apartments “plain white boxes “ they had great touches and trim. Thanks for showing a classic building . That 2 million dollar apartment was the bomb. Happy thanksgiving .

I agree with Cash. I would take the 2.35M condo too. I like the kitchen a lot. It has a big walk-in closet and a laundry room. The zen garden looks peaceful. For the first two apartments, I guess they would not upgrade the kitchens because they are historic. The last two condos have great amenities.

The two old, unrenovated apartments would be fine for students or lower-wage workers if the rent wasn't too high. They aren't what I'd want as a long-term residence, but for a year or two they'd work.
They aren't rentals.
They are being renovated for sale for between $600 to $700k.

Lower wage New Yorkers live in Brooklyn and Bronx where rent is actually affordable. Manhattan is a waste of money if you’re working a min wage job

These videos have become apart of my morning routines.
The first two apartments at one time were probably tenements for the working class. Now they command over a million dollars for the privilege of living in a great neighborhood. The to million dollar apartment is much nicer. A bit of redecorating will make it even more appealing. Still, that's a lot of money for the square footage. The three bedroom in the Windermere has a great neighborhood, large rooms, and great amenities. I love the pool. You don't need a gym membership to live there, but the rent is still very expensive. The studio is nice, and it is a true studio with a separate kitchen, not like the efficiency apartments that are now passed off as studios. Still, it is a lot of rent for one person. The one bedroom is less affordable but could work if a couple moves in and shares the rent.
The Windermere building looks amazing! The amenities looks top notch!

What an idiot idea basing apt rental on an unstable income! Patreon is random and subject to daily changes based on how much someone signs up for and doesn't drop amount given to lower amount and how long they sign up for subject to when they drop out. That is not a guaranteed income!
@@loriannrichardson7644 banks don't give loans on fluctuating income and wouldn't let it be used to qualify for a loan.
There is a thanks button that you can send him money. Patreon takes a piece of the money you send but I think the thanks button he gets 100%.

I used to live at the Windermere when I a kid, in 1966. My Mom I lived in one of the 1 bedroom suites they had. Boy has it changed! We live on the floor below the roof, and had a great view, they had big windows even then. My friends and I would play on the old rooftop.The old elevator used to have a elevator operator, he would let me run the elevator up and down, it was fun for a kid. It was from 1920s, or maybe older, it was a really old lol. This brought back many memories for me. Enjoy watching your videos. Maybe you will come across other places I lived in NYC, I hope so.

That 2+ million apartment was AMAZING for NYC. With a real laundry room, not just some units stacked inside of a closet. And the Zen garden and location were top-notch.
If I was in the market it would definitely be high on my list.

Units 1 and 2 are so-so. Love 3 and 4 as well as 6. Those units with laundry in them are great.
The last 2 apartments were the best and great space with amenities. The other apartments needs some upgrading, but none of these apartments are bad. Phew, Cash, with so many apartments to view on one video is also confusing, but appreciate the variety you show us and the neighbourhoods. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family in NYC!

#1: Worth it just for the double farmhouse sink however you'll need to add an island for storage. #2 Yes that kitchen cupboard sink combo is original (how do I know? ). I live in a 1903 building in Toronto.....cupboards are identical. I love a classic building however #3 is doing its best to tempt (but at that price, it should). #4 ,#5 & #6 what's not to like?

Anyone who is willing to pay $600-700k for those 1st 2 apartments must know all the good bong stores in NYC. Just because they have the original kitchen sinks & cabinets doesn't justify those prices. The other 4 were all worth considering for different reasons. Hope you & the family have a great Thanksgiving. Will Violet be going to the parade?
It's so interesting to see how people in New York City live. It's very different from most places, but it just makes me so appreciative of my 5 wooded acres with a creek and a custom house. The things in New York City that are valued by denizens of that city I find very curious. Each to their own.

In Apt 1, was the bedroom floor painted white or white tile? Very odd since living room has wood floor. Apt 3 in SoHo is my favorite in this video. All the apartments in The Windermere look fabulous!
