He's very humble. Doesn't get too excited when they validate him. Its nice to see i just hope he isn't downplaying himself and his band. They deserve their success
@@koregamer1996 saw them open for Bad Omens back in 2022. Fantastic live. Wish I was into them before seeing them but they gained a fan that night. Don't expect any songs before the Sleep Talk album. They don't play any older songs
Just discovered this band in their dark sun era and I loved them already, specifically the vocalist who is very human, love that he is feeling his feelings even though it's weird for others or sound uncool but I believe it's pretty cool being real and opening up especially nowadays where all we just exists in our Universe, feels like his touching a link❤️🤘✨👍
I've heard nearly all their albums and Dark Sun is definitely a different sounding album, softer, more melodic. With that said, I love it. It's a really good album and really showcases the band as a whole including Rory's amazing vocal range. If you want the harder stuff, just listen to the older albums. But bands have to evolve. Bravo Dayseeker!
OH MY GOD!!! Ever since you started reacting to Dayseeker I've always thought "I'd love to see them hang and chat with Rory!" and I'm so glad today is that day! keep being awesome guys!
them talking abt their kids really reminds me of my sister. lost our dad to kidney failure & other complications 10 years ago. sis was just a kid back then. and these days everytime i send her off to school, buy her gifts or just simply cook her something special, it always brings tears to my eyes, like is this what it's like to be a dad? i know it's been difficult for me to watch over her but at the same time seeing her grow up, hearing her say "thanks, bro. even though dad's no longer with us, i still got you" made me realise that i've become one of the biggest part of her life. i'll always be proud of her no matter what & i'll always be there when she needs me
Had the pleasure of meeting Rory at Disney's California Adventure a couple years ago, what a gem of a human! Let us take a pic, even with his little girl, made our day!
3:12 Man that was me. I wasn't into Dark Sun at first. It grew on me big time. Just Neon Grave alone is one of the best songs they've ever put out. One of you guys responded to me a week or two ago, telling me an interview with Rory was dropping soon. I expected an over-the-phone kind of interview, not a sit-down, in person, on-the-street interview. This was amazing. Good on you, mates. This is bad ass that you pulled this off, and it felt really natural and not uncomfortable like a lot of interviews. Well done, guys. Just gotta add: I saw Dayseeker in Reno, Nevada a couple years back. I rebought Sleeptalk at the show, just to try and get a signed copy, because it's one of my favorite albums of all time. Rory stood out there and talked to every single person. Security had already told us to clear out like 7 times. I was the last person, and he stayed and signed my album. He's a real one, and for all my money, he's the best singer in metalcore.
I don't think they're metalcore anymore. In an interview Rory did with Trevor Talks he even phrases it that they _used to_ make metalcore. I'd just call them post-hardcore and increasingly electronicore.
@@realtalk6195 Yeah, you're right. It doesn't feel right calling them metalcore anymore. It almost seems like a stretch to even call them post-hardcore, or any kind of core. I hope they don't totally abandon the core.
Aw, I love Rory and Dayseeker! I saw them open up for Silverstein and they were absolutely incredible. Next time they come to Canada, I'll definitely see them again. Great interview with three wonderful people 🩷
I get "You don't look old enough to [fill in the blank]" ALL. THE. TIME. It can be fun to freak people out by introducing them to my 17 year old kid, lol. Rory talking and posting about his daughter is the sweetest. Especially when Uncle Gar is involved.
Wow this is so cool! I need to see them in Texas hopefully soon. I just got into them last year. They did a few shows maybe in Austin and like one in Lubbock, I need a San Antonio show hopefully. I wanna VIP and just tell Rory how incredible they are resonating.

@@gntrihg interesting that they don’t play old songs but good to know. I only know their 2 latest albums so far.
I love Rory from dayseeker he’s in my top ten favorite male vocalist of all time.
People who say they don't like Dayseeker are the people that have no idea what art is. Their music is very underrated.
Im in a real dayseeker groove lately. these dudes kick ass
Interesting convo! Keep it up fellas!

One of my favorite human beings 🥰 my fiance and I are dancing to his cover of stand by me at our wedding
I really enjoy your interviews. You guys have a good flow of going back and forth with questions. 😅
He's so cool and laidback. I was drawn into listening to Dayseeker after the first time I heard "Dreamstate".
This is one of my favourite interviews I’ve watched in such a long time! Keep ‘em coming
I think I’ve never heard Rory’s voice out of songs 😮 that is awesome and great interview guys!
This interviews are LEGENDARY. God and Devil bless Nath and Johnny 🙏

Loved the last album and Rory's side project, didn't even mind that the last album had that Hurtwave feel to it!
What side project?
@@TheeRemnants Hurtwave
I TRULY BELIEVE... SOME OF THE MAGIC......IS FLOW ..... ARRANGEMENT....IS MAGIC!!!!!
FANTASTIC CD....AND IM ALMOST 60😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
I freaking LOVE Dark Sun 🤩
Harper's dad's band Acres has a song featuring Garrett of Silent Planet that you guys should check out on your own if you haven't.
Dayseeker is my number 1 all day!
best vocalist of this time i said it. it's a fact the last time i felt the feeling of good vocals like this was Chester Benington
You have no idea how much it hurts to realise day seeker played with bad omens and I missed it!
What dide project did he do? I literally just found this band.
Rory has a side project called “hurtwave”
I have OCD like Rory. He fixed the water bottle right away lol
My 3 favourite men 😍
RorRod the roar god
How old is Rory?
Them biceps are so distracting… mental
