A little odd looking back at my previous comment on this now after having done my first free solo last Sunday on Christmas Eve. It was a really easy offwidth to chimney but it was still such a different feeling than leading that climb. So hard to describe the peace that you have before, during and after a free solo.
I swear I'm getting more adrenaline watching him than he is getting (which is certainly a good thing for him as adrenaline is your biggest enemy in free solo).
I drove by there last week and that was scary enough. Couldn't imagine free soloing it. One mistake and that's it. You're dead. Can't say it won't happen because it's happened to some of the best who have ever done it. The top guys who are famous around the world. What if you get a cramp suddenly and lose control of your leg muscle? Look out below! That's what happens. I think I stick to doing the actual trail next Spring. Good enough for me.
Nice Climbing. But this Movie is WAY! too cheesy... Will even has a hard Time saying all this "OvertheTopClicheNonsense". Almost seems like the Squamish Tourism Board wanted an Ad...

He looks so unassuming and kind of out of shape as far as climbers go too but he completely slays on hard cracks.
