Aw! Ramin acts so sweet when he's Enjolras! Smiling at grantaire and all. Ramin is perfect. He's so kind, and not to mention a great singer and actor. Also, when Enjolras says RED! I heard rclplpleslpd
Thanks for this performance! He's so young in this but sounds incredible! It's amazing how he went from this to currently taking the lead role as Valjean on Broadway. He does each role so well. Impressive!
Ramin Karimloo brings out every nuance of a song & makes it his own! He also brings out the best of others too. And he is a very kind person at stage door!
OMG this is a treasure!!! I'm in love with Ramin, and especially I love his role of Enjolras, but I hadn't seen anything of him from before the 25th anniversary in 2010. Thank you so much for uploading this. By the way, he looks so young here!!! I totally LOVE HIM
Ramin is my all time favorite Enjolras but Aaron was great in the movie as well. I've always liked Enjolras better than Marius too. He is such a strong and powerful character.
Thanks for sharing! I wish one day, the performances of great artists like Ramin and Hadley, will be available on demand. If only more people are able to see these amazing performances on video, there will be so many more people going to the shows.
Me too that was really difficult to find him as Enjolras before the 25th. Love this my gosh he is ho super handsome here :) , my my. What a great role for him!, just perfect, Hope to see him again on a stage as Enjolras or Marius maybe.
Oh don't talk me about this... So so sad! When I heard or see the final attack of the 25th anniversary there are too much emotion in my head! And Empty chairs at empty tables, I can hear this whithout emotion but if I have the video with Ramin as ghost it's so hard not to cry! He's trully so talented to play phantoms ^^ And in the book, as well, Enjolras's death was hard... With Grantaire so I could easily imagine Ramin and Hadley... After I'v been depressed during all an evening and a night!!
OMG! Thank you so much for uploading this! I have been looking for any video with Ramin as Enjolras (other than the 25th anniversary) and could only find one very short clip!
I think Ramin and Aaron are different but they both played an amazing Enjolras, I think maybe because they come from Broadway and had more tool to play him in a better way, more passionate I would say.
honestly - i love Ramin's voice, he's got so much charisma and talent, I think his Enjolras is very good, but Aaron Tveit just... has something absolutly incredible and gorgeus in movie and he will be my Enjolras for forever.
look around look around, I totally agree, Aaron was a more convincing Enjolras. He definitely did his home work on his character, as did George Bladen as Grantaire.
I heard sounds of Ramin as Jean Valjean, I prefer as Enjolras even if Bring him home and the solliloquy make me trully chill! Yes, in the book, Enjolras is executated with Grantaire... What a sadness reading that!
They are my two favourite actors!! Ramin’s voice is perfect and Aaron’s acting (and the close-ups) portrays the character better. People don’t have to dismiss one to compliment the other!
Enjolras was supposed to be pretty, blonde. I am not a "fangirling". I just think Aaron was a more convincing Enjorlas, because he was angry, serious and intense. Ramon was too smiley and nice. Enj, was irritated by Grantiare, because he was a cynic and a drunk.
Oh my god with a draw... I think the page could be full of tears with me ^^ Enjolras want to be executated because he knows the barricade is over and because himself has executated a man so he wants to be punished for that! It's a real sacrifice, that is so horrible! Grantaire can't live whithout Enjolras, I think it's why he decides to die with him... All the description make me think Grantiare is in love with Enjolras! And that makes me laugh whel I see Ramin and Hadley :P
Grantaire/Enjolras? No, not likely. But note that in the book, Victor Hugo kept going onnnnn and onnnn about absolutely beautiful Enjolras was and compared them to Orestes and Pylades, and I think maybe even Achilles and Patroclus, who were rumored/believed by the Greeks to be lovers. XD So whatever their relationship....(which I think they are soulmates, btw) I'm sure VH intended it to be more than friendship
Sorry :) yeah so so so sad!! I cried so much when I saw the 25th and it was worth when saw it on stage my gosh and when Ramin was playing Valjean when he was dying or during bring him home i would cry too. He has the ability to bring so much emotions when he sings... And yeah he has kind of a talent for phantoms or staff like that¨^^¨. Les miserales is a beautiful peace of genious . By the way in the book he's executated right? or does he die on the baricades?
Aaron was a better choice for the film. Ramin's just too old for the part now, and he doesn't look the part for a film. It works on stage, but it would be distracting. Ramin is still my favorite, though Aaron did a very good job.
Yeah there's a big difference between the acting required for stage versus a movie. It's not just the age or look or whatever, stage actors and movie actors often don't cross over because stage actors are trained to handle the audience, and do everything live. Aaron Tveit couldn't hold his salt as Enjolras onstage, neither would Hugh Jackman as Valjean. They have good faces and facial expressions, but they don't have the voices.
In the book Enjolras and Marius are not really friend... Marius is just brought by Courfeyrac at the cafe Musin where meet the friend of ABC lead by Enjolras. They dont share anything, not even their political ideas at start! But in the musical, they seem to be friend who both want republic in France.
Ho okay sorry my mistake then. It's been a while since I've read the book. Maybe I should read it again to refresh. I think Iive been mistaken with the french film, but what ever. Defenetly will read the bok again :) And yes they both want to change things and bring the republic but they're only studients. Marius is much yonger than Enjolras, I can tell. Enjolras has a strong character and knows what is right, that's why I love this character.
Yeah totally agree with you. And well I do think yes that people actually see Marius more as a lover than a real revolutioner you know (I do ). I mean in this scene he doesn't sing about the revolution but of his love so he 's not really credible and truly involved even if he truly wants some changes in France. I prefer the rebels :) and it makes cry so much when I see enjolras dead:( but what is worth is when you see his ghost (empty chairs and empty tables)
Yeah me too!! I was surprised that they asked him to play the role but he's much better as Enjolas (love the songs too ). Yeah that's sad but they were considered as rebels but execuation is an awfull thing in a way they both stand until the last moment for a cause they knew that was right. And in my copie I have a drawing of the scene makes it more difficult to read !
I love this song very much ! But who is playing Marius? I like him too. And by the way who is Enjolras for Marius, I can't remember if he's his cousin or if they are friends? I know they are students in the book. thanks for sharing though :)
I think we can't speak of friendship betweek Enjolras and Grantaire when we read the book! Enjolras almost hates Grantaire he finds him week and unbeliever in anything he believes him... However, Grantaire is fascinated by Enjolras and says he only believes in him. It's why he wants to die... to prove he was true when he said so! And some descriptions of Grantaire only make think of love not of friendship.. A gay Enjolras, I can't! He doesn't loke women and not men too ^^ He only loves homeland!
Here we have our young Ramin Karimloo before he becomes 'OMG IT'S RAMIN!'. And yet I feel the need to exclaim: OMG IT'S RAMIN!!!
1:50 - look how calm and separate Enjolras stands while everyone jokes around. A man of history amongst the masses. A+ acting on all their parts.
Aw! Ramin acts so sweet when he's Enjolras! Smiling at grantaire and all. Ramin is perfect. He's so kind, and not to mention a great singer and actor.
Also, when Enjolras says RED! I heard rclplpleslpd
I love how he sings "Who cares about your lonely soul." So hot lol
Ikr? And he went a little higher on "your", and it just sounded sooooo good. I almost died
Bebe Ramin was a goddamn heartbreaker lol I love how we're all obsessing over him and some people are sick of it at this point...
"Who cares about your lonely soul?" That part gave me gosebumps..
The way that Grantaire looks Marius when he says "Red!" I just like "Oh, guy, how I understand you..."
my baby has the voice like an angel of musicn
Demi Hughes hmmmm. Makes one wonder
My god, as soon as he turned around... I let out this small, soft, involuntary "wow"
ramin’s enjolras has reached maximum sass level and i’m living for it
his "grantaire put that bottle down" was just LOVE.
OMG ramin's "Hang on!" 4:35; I died laughing
Thanks for this performance! He's so young in this but sounds incredible! It's amazing how he went from this to currently taking the lead role as Valjean on Broadway. He does each role so well. Impressive!
xExpressUrSelfx He didn't go from this directly to Broadway, there was much in between!
"grantaire but that buttle down" is just my favourite line in the whole musical, ramin is just soooo great, he is awsome as enjolras!!
Ramin Karimloo brings out every nuance of a song & makes it his own! He also brings out the best of others too. And he is a very kind person at stage door!
OMG, fetus Ramin
OMG this is a treasure!!! I'm in love with Ramin, and especially I love his role of Enjolras, but I hadn't seen anything of him from before the 25th anniversary in 2010. Thank you so much for uploading this. By the way, he looks so young here!!! I totally LOVE HIM
There are a few around with Ramin as Enjolras and Hadley as Marius. Perfection!
do you know who plays Grantaire here?
Perfect Enjolras!
He is now currently playing an even more perfect Jean Valjean on Broadway.
A perfect Enjolras, Valjean, AND Phantom of the opera😍
Ramin is one of the most handsome men I have ever seen!
ramin is so hot even at this age , god
He looks so young!! I LOVE THIS
Ah Ramin. I love his talented face!
Ramin is beyond Wonderful!
oh. my. god. HE'S SO YOUNG AND SWEET AND HANDSOME, well he still is but JUST LOOK AT HIM
Ramin is my all time favorite Enjolras but Aaron was great in the movie as well. I've always liked Enjolras better than Marius too. He is such a strong and powerful character.
Grantoire, put that bottle down!
XD
Even with this poor video quality, this performance is absolutely breathtaking. Ramin is absolutely excellent! The others too... :)
It's Ramin Karimloo - enough said.
Ramin is Enjolras to me. He embodies him perfectly. He's amazing as Jean Valjean, but his energy is suited more for Enjolras.
Ramin Karimloo. God he is amazing
I love how the camera remains still on Ramin :D Well, I can understand... ;)
Thanks for sharing! I wish one day, the performances of great artists like Ramin and Hadley, will be available on demand. If only more people are able to see these amazing performances on video, there will be so many more people going to the shows.
OMG!!!! AHHHH RAMIINNNN!!!!!!! he is so darn good looking!!! :)
Such power, emotion, beauty, and sexiness.
aaaw he's so beautiful there !
I love how he sang "who cares about your lonely soul."
Love his 'Grantaire put that bottle down' haha
Me too that was really difficult to find him as Enjolras before the 25th. Love this my gosh he is ho super handsome here :) , my my. What a great role for him!, just perfect, Hope to see him again on a stage as Enjolras or Marius maybe.
He's also played Marius and Valjean. But I agree, I like him as Enjolras the best.
Ramin is a beast as usual
wow I love this version!!!!!! Ramin is soooo cute as Enjolras!! The interactives are so interesting ,lovely and lively
Ramin is an amazing Enjolras! I love him so much... Very handsome man!
Good god Ramin.
Thank you for the video which keeps focus and zooms to Ramin. Luv to watch it!!
Oh don't talk me about this... So so sad! When I heard or see the final attack of the 25th anniversary there are too much emotion in my head! And Empty chairs at empty tables, I can hear this whithout emotion but if I have the video with Ramin as ghost it's so hard not to cry! He's trully so talented to play phantoms ^^

Ramin doesnt plays Enjolras....he lives this character up
OMG! Thank you so much for uploading this! I have been looking for any video with Ramin as Enjolras (other than the 25th anniversary) and could only find one very short clip!
i fucking love every rendition of a stink eye Enjolras gives Grantaire when he starts goading him by siding with Marius 😂
milles mercis to the person who filmed this. Enjolras approves.
I couldn't agree more. He's TOO good for the movie.
I really like this Marius
Best part of the musical right here.
Ohmygosh! I had no idea this was Ramin! I knew he looked just like him, and he had the same small lisp and everything :P
Seriously, I do not mind the long hair on Ramin. At all. Looks. Good. Sings. Great. Trying. Not. To. Faint. :)
his friend. Enjolras is the leader of the Friends of the ABC, the revolutionary students who Marius sides with in the musical.
I think Ramin and Aaron are different but they both played an amazing Enjolras, I think maybe because they come from Broadway and had more tool to play him in a better way, more passionate I would say.
Enjolras and Grantaire are so lovey dovey here. I think Ramin agrees about the romance.
Young Ramin! Eurgh he was hot then, he's super hot now.
Genio
To me, Ramin is like Prince Eric (The Little Mermaid) come to life, but sexier....
GennEmm agreed he reminds me a bit of Eric
Like everyone, i wish Ramin could have been in the movie (but Aaron was fantastic), but at least we got Fra!
hes playing Val Jean in the theatre :)
VIVA LA FRANCE
honestly - i love Ramin's voice, he's got so much charisma and talent, I think his Enjolras is very good, but Aaron Tveit just... has something absolutly incredible and gorgeus in movie and he will be my Enjolras for forever.

George Blagden, even.
I heard sounds of Ramin as Jean Valjean, I prefer as Enjolras even if Bring him home and the solliloquy make me trully chill!
Yes, in the book, Enjolras is executated with Grantaire... What a sadness reading that!
Enjolras is so better-looking than Marius. God Eponine, open your eyes girl!
Angel S. omg yes 😂😂
Why are people even talking about Aaron tveit, he's got nothing on this man
cuz there's always gonna be fangirls for bland pretty boys that get some nice camera angles
He's only 5 years older than Aaron Tveit who played the role in the movie.
I was praying for that too. Too bad he has other movie to attend this year :(
Oh my god with a draw... I think the page could be full of tears with me ^^ Enjolras want to be executated because he knows the barricade is over and because himself has executated a man so he wants to be punished for that! Damn right.
Thank you for posting this :D
he couldve easily been an awesome Jean Valjean as well
Anthony Karl And he actually was on Broadway!!
Aaron was a better choice for the film. Ramin's just too old for the part now, and he doesn't look the part for a film. It works on stage, but it would be distracting. Ramin is still my favorite, though Aaron did a very good job.
Jaime Nicole how doesn't he look the part for a film? Cos he's older now?

Sam Serrao Aaron's a stage actor too tho?
I was going to ask the same thing, I think so.
Aaron Tveit was amazing as Enjolras too!
you said it

Just like he IS Erik (Phantom)
Who plays Marius and Grantaire?
E at 1:25 : what did he say? Did he say he meet a girl?
Also E at 1:36 OK this is really interesting, I'm in.
I don't think so. Fra is only like 25 now and this was about 10 years ago

Ramin should have been cast as Enjolras for the Les Mis movie
there are a lot of weird people on this comment section...
ejsbxbeia skd Let people enjoy things.
I LOVE RAMIN!
I really like the marius :)
completely agree. And he's a good actor too, so the others would have made a poor figure
HOLY SHIT WHO IS JEHAN - THEIR VOICE IS PERF
NOOOooo , he isn't. He was perfectly young enough in the 25th anniversary concert, and that was only two years ago, so...
No,no,no, the other one you said Ramin is gonna be in
fainting @.@
Can somoene remind me who is Enjolras for Marius? He is his cousin, or just a friend? I can't remember. Thanks :)
