Great video and build of an interesting ship - converted shuttles in the Star Wars Universe are so full of possibilities. I have to say I am happy that this model exists, but also quite dissppointed by the low quality of the AMT moulds. Lots of gaps (although the fit is basically fine), very soft detail, some panels and greebles look like they were made of soap, or partially melted. This is even more surprising given that it's practically a new kit (Round 2, 2022, made in China), so the moulds can't be old - feels like an early 80's kit to be honest. But still, a great base for super detailing if one so wishes. You made it look very good regardless, so great inspiration for all!
Gunner’s turret is appropriate I think given the WW2 vibe of Star Wars. I still think the wings and tail are on backwards but that’s my 21st century Earth aerodynamics prejudice speaking. Nice build, quite believable. Nice to see the parts fit mostly eliminate light leaks.
Great video, lots of helpful information and tips . I picked up this kit almost immediately after it was released but I haven't started on it yet. Currently I'm building a diorama with a 1/144 scale sandcrawler and the Lars homestead. The sandcrawler is the first resin kit I've built. The rest of the diorama is scratch built. So far it's looking pretty good. Thanks for sharing your build of the Marauder it looks awesome. I did very well in the Spartanburg model show I brought home 2 first place and 2 3rds, sorry you couldn't make it.

It's an interesting design. I have to admit, I don't get too excited by Star Wars anymore. Disney/LFL abused my trust and produced really bad movies. I saw 3 in theaters; didn't bother seeing the other 2 in theaters. Saw Solo a year after theatrical release on a Blu ray I borrowed from the local library! Still haven't seen Rise of Skywalker but I've heard enough and seen enough clips to know what a crap movie that was. It was bad enough sitting through The Last Jedi and I didn't want to see a sequel to that film! Star Wars is going through a renaissance in model kits. Ironically, they've been hitting out of the park there consistently. Too bad everything else being produced is garbage! Indiana Jones fans know our pain now! I wouldn't mind getting a collection of the 1970s and 1980s Marvel Comics Star Wars comic. Those collections go in and out of print quickly.

Thanks, there is a little bit of a light leak above the right wing...I should have light blocked the SMDs used for the fiber optics.

It's kind of cool, some things about it aren't my favorite. But it was fun to build and easy to light
You should really watch Rogue one and the mandalorian, they both were definitely worth watching.
