I have this emotion of being sorrowful and dejected because in those 12 years I studied the history of the Philippines at school, I grew up a little biased towards the Marcos family. I do not want the younger generations to experience and grow up the same. I feel bad for doing my own researches just now, 19 years of age, and recently discovering these facts. As to what the former President Marcos said, he admitted that he had made many sins (he's a human being after all, y'all) but he did everything he can for the Filipinos and for our country. Now I understand why my grandmother actually voted for Sir Bongbong before, and she had told me that it was peaceful during his reign. Watching how intellectual and confident the former president was, I suddenly felt a loud slap that being Filipino is a force, a power itself. We are not bound to settle for being known for beauty pageant triumphs, beautiful islands, and people. We can do something greater, only if we are willing to place our hands together as one to fight all the circumstances that are bringing us down. Now that I live here in the United States, though, I would certainly do my best to raise our flag in my own little ways as I embrace my roots. I sincerely pray that we can rise back again, little by little, through humility and humanity. A blessed Happy Birthday, President Ferdinand Marcos Sr.! May you rest in peace and love.

After that nag taas ang pamasahe ng 4 pesos after the revolution. 4 kaming student, sobrang hirap nmin nun. It took 1 yr para maka recover kmi. We cried so much specially my parents. Hindi na natuloy ang father ko sa Guam, bec the CDCP had stop their projects. Luckily nakatapos din kming lahat. We waited for so long na may Marcos ulit na makaupo. Sobrang hirap ang 30 yrs na pag aantay. So much thanks kasi Duterte, became President. And alam na nmin that Marcos will be the nxt President. Thanks God pinakinggan din kmi ng langit. I have this emotion of being sorrowful and dejected because in those 12 years I studied the history of the Philippines at school, I grew up a little biased towards the Marcos family. I do not want the younger generations to experience and grow up the same. I feel bad for doing my own researches just now, 19 years of age, and recently discovering these facts. As to what the former President Marcos said, he admitted that he had made many sins (he's a human being after all, y'all) but he did everything he can for the Filipinos and for our country. Now I understand why my grandmother actually voted for Sir Bongbong before, and she had told me that it was peaceful during his reign. Watching how intellectual and confident the former president was, I suddenly felt a loud slap that being Filipino is a force, a power itself. We are not bound to settle for being known for beauty pageant triumphs, beautiful islands, and people. We can do something greater, only if we are willing to place our hands together as one to fight all the circumstances that are bringing us down. Now that I live here in the United States, though, I would certainly do my best to raise our flag in my own little ways as I embrace my roots. I sincerely pray that we can rise back again, little by little, through humility and humanity.

Love you Apo Lakay . I remember those days when I was in 1st yr college. Ang pamasahe ko nun is only 1.25 pesos sa bus. After that nag taas ang pamasahe ng 4 pesos after the revolution. 4 kaming student, sobrang hirap nmin nun. It took 1 yr para maka recover kmi. We cried so much specially my parents. Hindi na natuloy ang father ko sa Guam, bec the CDCP had stop their projects. Luckily nakatapos din kming lahat. We waited for so long na may Marcos ulit na makaupo. Sobrang hirap ang 30 yrs na pag aantay. So much thanks kasi Duterte, became President. And alam na nmin that Marcos will be the nxt President. Thanks God pinakinggan din kmi ng langit.
