I never comment on these before but just wanted to say I appreciate all the extra work you go to with the video editing and sound etc. I really appreciated the efforts in this video . Your passion for video editing really shows on this one . So satisfying to watch . Well done !!
You are the absolute nr one narrator on technical stuff, on whatever actually. You’re funny, to the point, most entertaining, my lunch break get away! Don’t need any adventures to keep me glued to your video’s, just love watching and listening, be it lithium or seals!
I love watching videos of the two of you. And I love watching videos when you're out and about, figuring out how to get things done. Don't take any flak for your tea choice. We all have our crosses to bear. Seriously, it's so good watching you and your sense of humour.
Love your videos , it's been a hard year for me lost my sister to cancer amongst a lot of other horrible stuff, but when I watch your videos it puts a big smile on my face, si I just wanted to say thankyou to you both so much
After 50 years of owning a garage, your colour tea is what I drink so no prob there. Love all your vids whatever the content. So keep it up. I also think you are a brave girl tackling the maintanance jobs that many blokes wouldn't touch is great.
Lovely to see my local area, I live near King's Lynn. To me this is South, being born in Yorkshire! 🙂 When I first moved here no-one understood my northern accent.
Air suspension is only a problem if you have a compressor and all the crap that goes with it ,keep it simple just have the air bags connected to 2 tyre valves for left and right ,once they are set it hardly needs any adjustment ,I use a 12v tyre inflator to pump mine up.
Thanks Simon! I have heard they can cause problems in the extreme cold though, which is where we intend to spend some time so I’m just trying to limit our chances of problems, which let’s face it, we will certainly get some lol!
Informative always Lou, very interesting van stuff …and of course your tea making and food shopping …feel your pain re supermarkets ….❤️ looks forward to seeing you and Emily and AJ again soon
Camera work and editing are awesome ~ so professional ~ it makes the video a joy to watch. So many cool effects and details; no idea how you learnt it all so quickly!!! If the van is on the bump stops permanently, is this really the sole reason your ride has been so bad a crashy? Assume stronger leaf spring upgrade will sort it.
Hi Lou,.. We had trouble with the rear leaf springs on a camper van we had, so we went for air rear spring helpers, which you inflate with any airline, that way we could inflate or deflate the airbags as needed.. xxx
Glad to see a video, loved the ending, cheered me up. I watch you two, foresty forest, vancity van life and Eamon and Bec, their latest video was so so sad, so thank you for the pick me up and smiles, oh I'm from Derby, now living in Bedfordshire down South ;-), we are the Midlands not North lol lol !!
All of our favourites release videos on Sundays Lou, but we saved yours until last. Brilliant as always. Pineapple on Pizza is awesome, but we need to talk about that tea. ❤️
You only got as far as the Midlands, the North starts at Yorkshire, unless you are a Scot then it starts at Inverness and if you're Welsh it starts at somewhere beginning with "LL".
Welcome back Em! Been missing you!! And AJ of course!!! Air assisted suspension is well worth a look Lou. Because you can vary the pressure it's much more flexible than fitting higher rated leaf springs. There is very little that can go wrong. It's just two pressurised rubber spheres. The leaf spring option will make the ride harsher in probability and it may prove too harsh. My lithium battery, 200Ah, lives in an outside locker so a low temperature battery with heater was the only option. It's worth noting that in most cases the heater is powered from the incoming charge until the battery is warm enough to receive charge. So you don't lose battery charge keeping it warm or heating it to prepare for charging. It was strange to see many familiar places at the beginning of the video. I used to live in Sutton Bridge but found the flat and treeless landscape not to my liking. I spent many hours commuting on the A17; it's a nightmare! Looking forward to seeing the upgrades in progress. Exhaustive research is, as you say, essential.
Thanks Chris, some sound info there! My big worry with the air is how it may cope (or not lol) in minus 20! And let’s face it with our track record it’s bound to go wrong lol! Thanks for watching 😀
🤣🤣 The seat belt...lol. I have a seat belt that does the same thing....I just lose it (especially in the morning before I've had coffee). People must think I'm a lunatic 🤣🤣
Lou, I don,t agree about vids lacking content, without behind-the-scenes stuff, then you may have had a point. Also check your bedding for stowaway Emily,s . Keep safe & warm also looking forward to the new website you mentioned.
Great video as always. 🤣🤣I know just what you mean about people in supermarkets, and then you get 3 or 4 all stop together at the end of the isle blocking everything but a fire engine.
As you going for updated leaf springs, I would definitely recommend replacing all round the existing shock absorbers with gas filled ones. They will give a firmer ride but will give added pressure on the tyres in snowy conditions giving more traction. I added these to Range Rover in the Highlands and it was well worth it even in a 4x4.
An interesting video Lou, glad you got some of the things done that needed to be updated. The colour of your cuppa was spot on, its how I used to have mine, before an allergy to caffeine decided to bite me. 😂😂 Lovely to see Emily at the end, yay looking forward to next installment. 😊❤️
Entertaining as always even when you’re simply showing us the details of day to day van maintenance and upgrades - great stuff 😀👍🏼 and we loved Emily’s little cameo 🥰 ps: Will says fit the leaf springs yourself 😉 x
I've been using the same Victron inverter for year's it only uses 6 watts on standby or you can have it on eco mode, read about that in the manual, it's very efficient 😀
Can I offer some advice? Keep your thumbs out of the wheel It happens rarely, especially with modern vehicles, but if the wheel whips round suddenly it will wrench your thumb back which will bring tears to your eyes & you won't be able to see to correct whatever whipped the wheel round in the first place If your thumb is alongside your fingers you might, just might, lose control momentarily but you'll still be able to see to correct it.
Informative video Lou. And the tea looked OK to me and yes cheese and pineapple do go great together stay safe and look forward to seeing Emily next week xxxPat
Well again Lou, it'll be great to see how you get along with the springs. Fit them yourself and you'll save a fair bit too. I fitted the air suspension and I've been very pleased. They were pretty simple to fit (apart from one stubborn bump stop nut). About 2.5 hours on the drive. The ride change is entirely different. If a bag ever does fail your just down to the same place you started until you get a new bag. Looking forward to your next travels.
Pineapple on pizza is epic😂loved your latest video. I’m quite new to your channel and really enjoying it so far. You are very easy to listen to. Keep them coming.
Kings Lynn ...great place ...Nottingham is across from Kings Lynn same level... then on the same level is Derby...Then Stoke that's where I am..Pop in on your travels
Yes Derby is a small city and you were in probably the nicest part, darley abbey and Darley park are very picturesque. Glad you had a pleasant experience albeit short time, come again your always welcome ❤️
Love pineapple on pizza. But blimey Lou love - that ain’t no cup of tea. It’s a cup of warm milk my lovely. You can’t come north and claim that as tea ☕️ lol
Absolutely brilliant video as always ladies. I follow a few van life videos on TH-cam but yours are without doubt the best. Can't wait for the final van upgrades. Also really looking forward to seeing & hopefully getting some of Lous prints. Also totally agree with pineapple on pizza, but Lou your teas like dish water!! Less milk please haha. Safe & happy travels ladies Terry
I've seen an upgrade on this type of van you may know about for the rear suspension. Instead of air bag you put a small coil spring in. The fella was very happy with this upgrade👍
Lithium is the battery of the past, Solid state batteries will be replacing them in the future, partly due to the quintupling of the cost of Lithium as a raw material but also because the energy density is ~10 times that of Lithium. An experimental one was used in a Tesla that managed 1000 miles off a single charge (it made the news recently).
Whenever the Queen paid a visit to Sandringham her n mum would pick Samphire (sea asparagus)very tasty on hot buttered toast or with a nice bit of 🐟 Lou xx
Kings Lynn is a lovely market town with beautiful buildings but YES the Coastal defences and waterways do their best to keep the water off the flats. Perhaps you could give some information on the excellent condensation vac cleaner...
Well now to be honest the tea does slightly anemic. Yorkshire tea and leave the teabag in the cup and you will get two cups of good tea for the price of one . 👍🏻🇮🇪☘️
Loved the video, & very interesting. I might have to pick your brains for doing up my 28ft boat. I’m a full time wheelchair user & I love driving but the boat gives me the option to coast that are not accessible to me. And to travel a different way. All the best to you both x
Really glad I watched this... not just because it was a single female stealth urban campervan thingy wotsit but I think I need the services of your sponsor!!
Absolutely love every video! Could never be boring. Such great editing skills, so cinematic and awesome. Appreciate these kind of videos just as much cos this is real stuff hey, love it. Exciting times ahead team! Xxx
As soon as I saw your Nottingham park up I said to myself o no, I wounded if you got any sleep then you mentioned the boy racers :) you were only a couple of miles from me :) If you have to return drive further in towards the golf course to sleep. Plus there is miles of lovely walking if you walk and head across the golf course
Suspension is an interesting topic. A lot of TH-camrs have added airbags to compensate for low capacity leaf springs, which to me does not sound like a good solution. They are more for temporary load and for adding stability and comfort in certain scenarios. Upgrading your leafs is the sustainable solution (pun intended). What is less common is to install full air suspension which is common in commercial vehicles. The benefit in an RV is that you can level your vehicle with them and chuck out the chocks.
If you are going really cold then I suggest you stick to the leaf springs. They don’t freeze up and you can get them repaired anywhere. Have you looked at getting an external engine and windscreen blanket? They really help with wind chill that can be a killer in extreme climates. Looking forward to the next episode
Ham & Pineapple Pizza is very popular here in Canada (it was first created in Canada in 1962 by a Greek immigrant named Sam Panopoulos.) Have you ever made "Pita Pizzas"? You use a pita bread (very good for travelling, try the whole wheat ones) and you just spread some pizza sauce on and then your other toppings before popping them in the oven. Very convenient and just the right size for one person. Also, Emily can have hers her way and Lou can make hers the way you Lou likes 'em.
@@campervibe Actually I don't make them as pita pockets. I just use the whole pita as a quick pizza crust. So that way, I can cook them in the oven like a mini pizza.
Brilliant! hawaiian pizza is my favourite. And my kids now understand if I say something is a "10 minute" job, it will take days involving internet searches and multiple trips for bits & bobs. Good luck and great to see you both in the video :-)
Well Lou, I wish I had known you were near where I live in Nottingham (the MIDLANDS) , I could have made you a decent mug of tea and shown you my Boxer with the air bag rear suspension added. Easy diy job and well worth doing, mine have never gone down in the two and half years they have been fitted. Even if they did fail for some reason then you still have the springs so all you would have is a “saggy bottom” !! not a complete disaster like on a full air set up where the springs have been removed. Anyway great video as always, looking forward to your website opening and seeing some more of your work. Stay safe and well, John from Nottingham, in the East MIDLANDS ….
Very informative & entertaining vlog Louise, made me jump at the end, wasn't expecting that 😲 (nice to see you Emily 😊). We had to watch the ending again just to see if the duvet twitched, it didn't! 😂

You Will, certainly are not a wise man haha 😀 You only have expertise in Fajitas 😀😁💯✔🤩
Well said will!! 🤣
it that off an adult film ?? or am I way off topic
Yorkshire tea is the best

Aw Kaylee, glad we cab make you smile 😃 sorry to hear about your sister ❤
Kings Lynn, way up north..ha! Come up to Northumberland and we'll show you up north. Great beaches, castles, Cathedrals, the Tyne Bridge and more.
We used to run a holiday park in Northumberland, got married in Alnwick 😀 we do actually know up North, its just fun winding up, you know us 🤣🤣
Have to be honest your tea looks great. My mate and I share a tea bag! I do insist it’s Yorkshire though.🫖🫖
Haha she loves her tea like that 🤣
Loved the video even if you thought it lacked content. The music and editing was superb. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it Diana 😊
Excellent 👌🏻 Greetings from Scotland 😊 Have a wonderful day everyone 🌻
Hi ya 😁
Great little video, great to see Emily at the end!
😀😀
Thanks for the lithium update, l have just been to both Will’s video and Ecotree’s website looks like it may be time for an upgrade for our van.
Not a bad bit of kit really 😀

WOW LOUISE

The hoodie you had on for the battery chat is really cool!

Good to be back 😀
Air Assist suspension is a simple and relatively inexpensive addition to your van and can help in levelling in park ups etc, Thank you great vlogs

Keep your thumbs out of the wheel

I agree, I live in Leicestershire, also East Midlands, even Yorkshire only just considers itself in the north
😆 nobody wants a saggy bottom now John 🤦♀️
Love your Hoodie! x
Loads of people like the hoodie, amazon 😀
Very informative & entertaining vlog Louise, made me jump at the end, wasn't expecting that 😲 (nice to see you Emily 😊). We had to watch the ending again just to see if the duvet twitched, it didn't! 😂
I was so still 😆 if she took any longer I would have been still for a lot longer 🤣🤦♀️
