Another absolute corker of a vlog. Some days reality really does bite. Alterations and upgrades in our tiny spaces are never without their challenges but in your own unique way you’ve worked out how to sort what’s needed and make it work for you. More power to your elbow Lou 💪🏼 😉 ps : we loved the ukulele interlude 🥰👍🏼 x
Love all this. Find it fascinating and informative. Not all van lifers share things so honestly and when I’m trying to convince my husband to buy a van, it’s these sorts of videos that actually help. We both love the intricacies of how you do your set up. Good luck with the floor.
Love everything you put out, even though you don't think we want all the waffle ,we actually love that we love watching you get things done and you always make sure you get things right ,I really loved your ukulele bit, not seen anyone do a slap strum on one before, that was amazing .
You've hit 40k subscribers so that says something, so don't beat yourself up! Whatever content you put out is entertaining, funny and well worth watching. If you don't manage to get a vlog out it's fine, your subscribers will still be here. Best of luck!
Don’t put yourself down we watch all your videos and you have been an inspiration for us to start our own TH-cam channel. I thought that was one of your best videos and really enjoyed it. Please can we have some more of you playing the ukulele that was really good 😄
🛑 ✋🏼 Lou!!! Please stop driving yourself insane. Nearly every video at some point you apologise for your amazing videos! There isn’t 1 video you have done (and we have watched them all) that is worthy of an apology - you are great. You both are. We love your honesty and authenticity and appreciate you sharing. Stop being a big FANNY!! 😁 big love from us. Amy Paul & Ted xx 🐾
Brilliant vlog, good to keep it real and show exactly what goes into building and modifying these vans. As a lot of people have said don't keep beating yourself up we love the channel and the diversity of the content. Keep the faith 👍
Lou, I have just started my own build at 70. Thank you for keeping it real for me. When I hit a wall, I think of you. Massive thanks for doing these vlogs. You Rock !!!!
You got a Fanny joke in, so this was still entertaining as well as being practical & showing that things aren't always straight forward. I'm an Electrician but I normally deal with 230-415v, I've only ever done a couple of 12v circuits for myself. Some of the 415v installations have involved over 100 cables being disconnected from an old panel & reconnected to a new panel. Labeling is essential! 😂 Changing things about & tidying up cables & connections is time consuming but can make a big difference when there's a fault or something needs added or removed. Well Done Lou! 😊❤️🤘
Thirst - Nothing wrong with a true to life video, Lou you are doing a great job and Emily should be very proud of you. Keep up the good work and stay positive, you will get there in the end.
Move the heater to the garage and you can run 2 outlets with minimal pipework. If you can move the batteries towards the back doors should give you enough space for the heater in front of the batteries.
Hi per, I looked at that but where it would need to slot there’s not enough space underneath to be able to drill the big hole, so I’d have to move the kitchen unit and I just don’t think it’s worth taking it that far. I also don’t want it too close to the fridge and if I avoid that too I end up having it right where the main storage back there is. I am considering adding a second one lol!
Really refreshing to see you do a video in the style of Will, bit of panic, a pinch of stress and bangin’ your head…. and the bonus musical bit. My Hero’innit.
This channel is more about you on your natural environment than you think. By far you are the Shinning Stars of your own world. Not about Traveling, not about food, not even about Fanny, you are the whole reason. Remember to take life as it comes. ¡¡PURA VIDA!!
Video was great, honest and truthful and made us laugh, we look forward to your videos whenever you can manage them. You've done an amazing job with the van both me and my husband agree it's one of the best self builds we've seen. We love your content as its always good for a laugh and so real. Keep up the good work with the build and the videos.
I love that you take Emily's snack storage (and storage in general) into consideration during the rebuilding. Every adjustment impacts something. Thinking 2, 6, 12 steps ahead takes longer but in the long term, will save time and money. The time you spent tidying and organizing the wiring system will be repaid tenfold down the road. Your response time later will be quicker, your ability to adjust and react to emergencies will be faster and done with confidence. All because you took the time (and head thumps) now.
Lou has to think about the snacks, I wouldn’t be happy if she didn’t haha no to be fair that’s just how her brain works always a few steps ahead most of the time 😃
Lou, this is the most authentic and real campervibe video I've seen. I'm glad you listened to Emily and shared it with us. It's real! This was informative, it was interesting, it was entertaining but most of all - it was you fiddling with fanny! 😂😂😂😂 Keep it real and focus on those future adventures ❤️
I just like to say Emily and Louise I'm here for the good times, I'm here for the bad. The laughter the tears the innuendo and all the bits in between. Can't wait to see what Louise puts in your Fanny next😂😂😂I think Louise is rubbing off on me.😉
Hey Lou,You're doing a fantastic job doing the van up and vlogging...The wife and I love watching your videos...Even watching Emily getting her Barnet done was entertaining 😀 Keep on being you...you two are infectious to watch ! Stay safe,Glad the van and the fence panels survived Eunice!
Currently working on renovating a camper and been watching some of your older build videos again and this video relates so much. Climbing over things, banging my head and cursing a lot. It’s great fun 😂😂😂
Well done Louise for keeping it real!! Very valuable information for all future van builders. Was wondering when you were going to move your uke, you obviously have a talent there as well. Great video as usual!
Lou when yr upgrading or working on the van don't worry about weather you're making good content or not, just plant the camera on a tripod or somewhere and you can edit or narrate it later, just concentrate on your build of the van as we all love "The Continuing Adventures of Camper Vibe" and want to see the banter, the travels, the love, the highs and lows of camper life! And without Vanny that's impossible! So chill babe! You're doing an excellent job of it! Much better than most mere men! 😂😘💕👍🇬🇧
Lovely video and thank you for all your efforts to bring out this week's video it's still great to see how you are doing the upgrades ❤️ It's always hard to do it yourself especially in that cold weather but in the end it's worth it because you know your own van inside out. You are going to love travelling in cold temperatures it's so cool to spend winter in a van especially while it's snowing ❄️
Your vlogs are spot on showing exactly how it is doing a van conversion, we found it hard and stressful managing the conversion without the added problem of trying to film the process. It's all enjoyable 😊 xx
Proper genuine content. Its why I watch you two. I sat refreshing yt on Sunday wondering where's the bloody vid?! lol But you're right, it'll be whenever and that makes it more genuine. I found your channel through some other van builds a few years ago, and you've both grown so much more natural in front of the camera since then. And Lou, I take inspiration from ALL your editing for when I eventually start making vids. You don't know how many hundreds of times I've climbed over the bed into the garage and back again to work!! And 'vanstanding'... I'm a pro at that. We do need a pic of Em's hair though...
A very interesting video, Louise. You are a true polymath. Video blogger of high quality, environmental activist and commentator, "sick" humour, and jack of all trades. You build and refit a tiny-home on wheels: electrics, plumbing, carpentry, design, everything. Energy, and drive. You can make any subject interesting. And it isn't just about the subjects [interesting though they are], it is about the Camper Vibe attitude to life. Tackle it head on, and "crack-on". So it isn't all about van builds, or tourism, it is reality TV. Real reality TV and not the crap you get from a Commercial/Corporate media channel.
More power to you for doing it all yourself. I started out with a 9m bus that was already converted when I bought it, but it was too big for the places I wanted to go. Went down to a 7m bus, but the less said about that, the better. 2 years ago I bought a 2012 4.3m caravan. I am an architectural designer/project manager by profession, so had worked out exactly what I wanted. Last October I had a major upgrade done.......fresh and grey water tanks, solar, lithium battery, 2000w inverter, Maxair fan, wind-out awning and a number of other small upgrades. However I was short on time (live in my caravan full time), so I got an RV company to do the work. 3 men full time for 3 days. They did exactly what I wanted and installed everything exactly where I wanted. They did an awesome job and I wouldn't change anything. One thing they were able to do is connect every 230 volt plug in the caravan to the inverter (can use my toasted sandwich maker etc even when I am off-grid). However I can still use the plugs on mains power when plugged in at campgrounds etc, without having to use the inverter.
Wow, I don't envy you having to work in such conditions, but thank you greatly for taking us on your upgrading journey. I know you think these videos aren't that great, but in my opinion they're priceless and can be quite helpful. So please, keep on doing what you're doing and give yourself some slack, especially when things appear dire. Best of the build to you! :)
Lou, Your videos are great, regardless of what you do in them. Please don't worry yourself about them being perfect all the time. It's nice to see the real thing. Not every day is perfect in any of our lives!
You made me laugh talking about the time spent sitting in the empty van - guilty as charged. Redoing, in a very, very basic way, my tiny wee van and you’re right about the frustration of waiting for stuff: my carpet lining was due to arrive today, didn’t. Psyched myself up for nothing. Have a good week, both.
I think I've probably spent 90% of my time sitting there sussing out what I'm going to do 👍 Then 5% building Then 5% rebuilding cos i cant plan for toffee 🤣
I'm so sorry you've been so stressed. Please take pressure of yourself. You are absolutely right in your priorities. You need to focus on the electrics so that you're safe. I love the innuendo, the cursing and all the rest of it. You produce it, we will watch it. And sod anyone who isn't pleased. Let THEM come and fix the mess. Your work is meticulous. Everything labelled, and easy to find. Good on you!
Your doing a great job, just take your time and do it right this time. You don’t want to be pulling it all out again in a year or 2’s time and don’t worry about the video. The van is way more important. 👌👌
@@campervibe I bet she did. At one point I was really panicking. Thought she’d still be there with her head stuck in that cupboard. Vans looking great. It’ll be worth the hassle. 👍👍
It’s real content !! The stress, overcoming problems, not giving up, better than watching 12 people in a house been fake and finding out by a tv judge the baby is the plumbers lol !!! Keep it real and keep it coming Lou !! Great channel
Always entertaining. And what I loved about this one was how I could relate. Hope you get the heat working in the back. I've done the same. Be prepared for the living space to take a little longer to warm up on those really cold days. But hey, the longer the heater runs at full chat, the more carbon gets burnt off! Keep up the good work.
Hi guys. If your not an electrician it can be overwhelming. Bus bars is the right way to go. Keep battery cables to the bus bars the same length from all batteries as the resistance needs to be the same. From there you can then add..... We would recommend the victron multiplus compact inverter charger(s) for all Camper, RV off grid tiny homes. A charger, and inverter all in one with auto changeover, bluetooth monitoring and so much more. Keep at it! Ant & Cid xx
I love this vid! I do have one remark: don't use the inverter for 230v if you have a mains hookup, that is very inefficient, actually it would be much better to try to find a 12v power supply for your laptop so won't need the inverter even of the mains.
Hi jan, unfortunately you can’t get a 12v charger powerful enough to run my laptop, (believe me I’ve tried, even if they are the correct voltage when editing the battery dies quicker than they give it power) it’s very power hungry and dell have actually made it impossible as third party chargers won’t work on this particular laptop anyway, which is very frustrating lol! With regards to the inverter, I agree, they are incredibly inefficient, but when hooked up it won’t matter as the victron mains charger will put in the batteries far more than the inverter takes out, so they’ll sit at full the whole time. If not hooked up then agreed, it makes no sense to convert 12v to 240v then back down to 19v or so. Thanks so much for watching 😀😀
built my van two years ago and only now starting to change all the things that i did wrong especialy the wiring that ii cant even remember what goes were ? I just love the non PC humor and real life problems that you deal with the same way as most of us , lots of swearing, head scratching, tea breaks and then action. you two are a great team and the both of you brighten my day.
Brilliant video Louise 👍 I absolutely love your honesty and openness! We are sitting in our van tonight in a very wet town in Normandy on our way home to Ireland. Past three months on the road has highlighted a lot of flaws/defects/issues in our van that we will address in the autumn. I have some mechanical stuff to do first when we get home next week... Then a complete rejig of how we live in the van. My wife has got pissed of with the U shape 'lounge'. Making up the bed every night and stripping it every morning is a pain...so a fixed bed with storage underneath is what we will be doing and our dog has endured a lot of discomfort with not having enough space to stretch out... When you think you have finished, think again! Keep on keeping on young lady, you are an inspiration!!!
Just a perfect vlog. My husband says as soon as I enter our van I turn into a whole different person. I think I'm a "Vanzilla" doing our build. THE MOST stressful thing we've done together in 32 years. I now feel so much better that it's not as glossy as you normally make it look.
Lou, you sorry too much, the video was great! I am in awe of your persistence, not to mention the ukelele playing 🤗 Just update us when you can, see you (and Em) then!
You have done a very professional job. I wouldn't know where to begin. I love everything about Fanny right up to the color scheme You can be proud of what you have accomplished. It's nothing short of brilliant.
Glad you put the video out Lou., like Emily says we don’t want a glossy polished video all the time what we want is true life. Your problems/issues will help other people with the same problem or help them if they’ve had a difficult day or two in their build. Thanks for being honest 👍🏻👍🏻
A great, reality based video. I think it’s great you show the ‘warts n all’ version of van build electrics. It works, it’s safe, and it meets your needs. Keep the videos coming!
you are not a robot, and you are just funny as is so stop stressing! Your a human who feels things it's allowed 🤣 We have lost my mum a month ago and our wonderful boy dog 2 days ago and your vids have been such a lovely break from all the pain. Hope this makes you realise how good your vids are. Take care and give yourself a break!
These are my favourite videos , it shows the real side to self build campervans and what goes into them , I must admit I don't like electrics but I always get a professional to check my stuff over for peace of mind , you have done a really lovely job on the van , if you was my daughter I would be very proud of you
I don’t have a van, don’t think I could ever afford one and definitely know I don’t have the skill set or patience to build one. There must be other reasons I look forward to the videos each week, all of them, not just the ‘pretty’ ones. Keep going! Thank you for sharing the problems and rewards!
Before I got my degree and went into computers, I worked as an electrician so I really appreciate that you covered the rewiring and showed how much work it takes and what an absolute pain it can be. The up side is that you will thank yourself every time you have to work on it in the future because instead of that rat's nest you will have well routed cable runs and labels for everything. Well done!
My hubby took months of full time hours to get our van done and everything costs more than you think. It’s all worth it in the end. . Be kind and patient with yourself. You are amazing 🤩. 👍🙏🤩
You are always worth the watch, comedy, innuendos and honesty. We all do things in our own way, not all of us are willing to share that. Do what works for you. As some one with OCD trying to achieve what is in your mind can turn you a bit loopy. Take a step back and say that is fit for purpose. Looking forward to your next adventure once the mods are finnished.
I think you’ve done amazingly well Lou. Just understanding the electrical system is mega let alone reorganising it. In our van we have just one leisure battery that the manufacturer fitted in the most ridiculous location so you couldn’t even access it. We’ve now improved that a little but no way could you call it ‘accessible’. I really want to improve our ability to run off 12 volt and have more solar energy (we have one 100 watt panel) but don’t have a clue how I could do this myself despite watching numerous TH-cam videos I don’t think I’ve the confidence to tackle it. I really admire the fact that you are doing all this challenging stuff and making a wonderful home on wheels as a result. Be proud of your achievements! I can’t imagine making a film of your efforts at the same time so frankly, you’re a star! I’m sure Emily appreciates your hard work and tenacity and no doubt pretty soon you both will be taking the lovely AJ & Summer on some exciting trips and all this hard slog will be behind you. Well Done! All the best. X
Hey Anna, I do appreciate what she does and how capable she is, I know that without I would be like yourself even after watching all the vids on TH-cam, not sure how I could do it that's for sure
Lou don't stress yourself out so much, you're doing a great job. Nothing worse than dealing with than electrical and plumbing. It was interesting to watch, just glad it was you and not me doing it.
Been watching you guys for a few months now. Got my van partially done but then done lots of changes to it,it’s medium spec stuff but we love it. I love this video, after doing so much research watching too many vids of builds online that make it look so easy in it can become disheartening when u spend a day for what seems a small task. Your so experienced so it’s ace to see a video like this that no matter how skilled you are that it’s ok that what seems an easy job still takes a day. I’ve often said to my partner in the midst of our van build stress n arguing how I admire u have the patience to deal with the stress of the problems but also have to think about filming it all at the same time. Thanks for this vid to let us beginners know we are not alone in the “everything takes a day” tasks we do. ❤️
Yeah totally Mandi, it can be frustrating for everyone and we think its good to show that so others don't feel alone when they are having one of them days, hope it's going OK
@@campervibe yeah even though ur clearly super knowledgable about doing build stuff u guys keep it real and that’s why it’s so great. anyone who says they don’t argue on a build is defo lying lol. It’s the highs and lows. Love it 😁
I will never live the van life, never have the knowledge you have about all this electrical mishmash (it’s all brain surgery to me) and will never ever attempt to do any of it on my own but still, I’m totally captivated by your videos including this one. You could prop up a mobile phone on a stack of books to shoot the video and I’d still watch and enjoy so please ease up your high expectations for yourself and know that we’re enjoying it. You’re absolutely brilliant with all this and it’s such a treat to watch.
Aw that's so nice, lou had no idea about that stuff before this but I am glad I have her as I wouldn't have been able to build it alone that's for sure 😊
It's not just about showing the downside to van life it's also the fact we all love to watch you guys, the good, the bad and the ugly! Stop putting so much pressure on yourself! I'm like Emily where electrics etc is not for me but I love all ya vids so still watched the electric remodel etc which is kudos to you! Well done as per gals xxx
Hey Lou, do not worry about whatever you put in your blogs, you have 40K subscribers, this vlog has had 18,837 views (at time of posting this) and 2.5k thumbs up - that tells me that what you are doing is exactly what "we" love to see. I found it very entertaining and having read all the comments (760) it would appear that it is unanimous amongst us all. We understand that with the amount of work you are doing to Fanny that it is not easy to vlog as well, we all just love whatever content you put out. Keep up the good work please :) :)
To me this video was very motivational. I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s struggling all the time with the van build. It brings a lot of stress and frustration with it that’s for sure! And I totally get you spending hours and hours doing research on one specific thing and sitting for hours in your van just staring and thinking and rethinking… thank you for keeping it real!
I for one appreciate your honesty, your vlogs are always real no gloss but are still entertaining so stop beating yourself up and chill, put the video out when can it'll still be a cracker. Stay safe girls.
Hello, Thank you for showing us the real difficulty of changing thing , during van up grading .. ..please keeping Camper Vibe life real .. Bless you both..
Lou, you're doing a bang up job. Stop beating yourself up. Take all the time that you need to do it right. You will be happy down the road when everything is just the way you need it and more easily accessed. Love all of your content. I am a fairly new subscriber to your channel and absolutely love you ladies. Now you are my go to channel. I am slowly making my way through your older videos. Hope to be caught up soon. Well done!
Been in the same situation as you and for sure there are good days and bad days with a van build or refurb. I love your attention to detail and professionalism and its very easy to be self critical. However…. Your videos are natural and show things as they are in the ’ real world’ we all recognise and deal with. The thing I like is we can all relate to events in your videos, banging heads on cupboards etc, indeed I nearly sliced my thumb off when laying the floor in my van! Keep going and think of the enjoyment when back out on the road 👍👍
Don't keep putting your self down Lou , your doing a great Job at re designing Ems and your Van ready for your great winter travels in your wonderful Fanny ( VAN ) XX
Build / rebuild/ tinkering / changing stuff....... Best content ever :-) Really, it is what van life / motorhoming is all about .. And presented as you do it... yup, enjoy it no end
Great video Lou, thanks for keep us entertained when you are clearly so busy. A really big attraction with your channel is the realism and the lows as well as the highs. Not that I want you getting stressed or be bickering with Emily, but it is entertaining to see!!
Lou, don't put yourself down, it is a messy, cranky job. The video doesn't need 'entertainment', the raw real is so much better. Chin up and keep on keeping on :)

Thirst - Nothing wrong with a true to life video, Lou you are doing a great job and Emily should be very proud of you. Keep up the good work and stay positive, you will get there in the end.
I am indeed, she is doing a cracking job 👏
😆😆 have to be done every now and then 🤣
Great video, Lou. Don't worry about the melt-down. It's real life, and yes, it *was* an interesting achievement!
Glad it was
This channel is more about you on your natural environment than you think. By far you are the Shinning Stars of your own world. Not about Traveling, not about food, not even about Fanny, you are the whole reason. Remember to take life as it comes. ¡¡PURA VIDA!!
Thank you, its nice that we can just share us 😁
Video was great, honest and truthful and made us laugh, we look forward to your videos whenever you can manage them. You've done an amazing job with the van both me and my husband agree it's one of the best self builds we've seen. We love your content as its always good for a laugh and so real. Keep up the good work with the build and the videos.
Aw guys thank you 😊
I love that you take Emily's snack storage (and storage in general) into consideration during the rebuilding.
Lou has to think about the snacks, I wouldn’t be happy if she didn’t haha no to be fair that’s just how her brain works always a few steps ahead most of the time 😃
OK, so I am a type A/OCD (is that redundant??😊) and LOVED this video. Thank you Emily for talking Lou into putting out this video!!
I'm glad I managed it as well 😀
Worried about vid content? Omg, best video EVER! Great work and that’s the stuff we like! Well done you!
Cheers Glen
All good to know Lou, don’t be so hard on yourself. Take care stay safe.
Cheers Marc 😀
Lou, this is the most authentic and real campervibe video I've seen. I'm glad you listened to Emily and shared it with us. It's real!
This was informative, it was interesting, it was entertaining but most of all - it was you fiddling with fanny! 😂😂😂😂
Keep it real and focus on those future adventures ❤️
Who doesn't love to see a girl fiddling with fanny 🤣🤣🤣🤦♀️
I just like to say Emily and Louise I'm here for the good times, I'm here for the bad. The laughter the tears the innuendo and all the bits in between. Can't wait to see what Louise puts in your Fanny next😂😂😂I think Louise is rubbing off on me.😉
Glad you are Alan
You never need to apologise for the quality of your videos, they are always spot on.
Aw thanks Eve
Hey Lou,You're doing a fantastic job doing the van up and vlogging...The wife and I love watching your videos...Even watching Emily getting her Barnet done was entertaining 😀
Keep on being you...you two are infectious to watch !
Stay safe,Glad the van and the fence panels survived Eunice!
Thanks guys 😀
Currently working on renovating a camper and been watching some of your older build videos again and this video relates so much. Climbing over things, banging my head and cursing a lot. It’s great fun 😂😂😂
Well done Louise for keeping it real!! Very valuable information for all future van builders. Was wondering when you were going to move your uke, you obviously have a talent there as well. Great video as usual!
Thanks Carole if they can help one person then we are happy 😊
Lou when yr upgrading or working on the van don't worry about weather you're making good content or not, just plant the camera on a tripod or somewhere and you can edit or narrate it later, just concentrate on your build of the van as we all love "The Continuing Adventures of Camper Vibe" and want to see the banter, the travels, the love, the highs and lows of camper life! And without Vanny that's impossible! So chill babe! You're doing an excellent job of it! Much better than most mere men! 😂😘💕👍🇬🇧
😀😀😀
Lovely video and thank you for all your efforts to bring out this week's video it's still great to see how you are doing the upgrades ❤️ It's always hard to do it yourself especially in that cold weather but in the end it's worth it because you know your own van inside out.
You are going to love travelling in cold temperatures it's so cool to spend winter in a van especially while it's snowing ❄️
We really can't wait, it's going to he totally worth it for that 😀😀
Your vlogs are spot on showing exactly how it is doing a van conversion, we found it hard and stressful managing the conversion without the added problem of trying to film the process.
It's all enjoyable 😊 xx
Yeah totally worth it buy at the time you are like 😫😫
Proper genuine content.
Glad you have been enjoying the vids, it's nice to know where people find our vids from as well 😀 you will see my hair next time 😁😁
A very interesting video, Louise.
Thank you Robert, it's lovely to know that so many are enjoying the vids 😀
Great job done there & looks brilliant, hats off to ya for keeping it real❤️
Thank you 😊
More power to you for doing it all yourself.
That sounds amazing, glad you are happy with the work they carried out 😁😁
Wow, I don't envy you having to work in such conditions, but thank you greatly for taking us on your upgrading journey. I know you think these videos aren't that great, but in my opinion they're priceless and can be quite helpful. So please, keep on doing what you're doing and give yourself some slack, especially when things appear dire. Best of the build to you! :)
Thanks, we hope that they are useful in some way 😀😀
Lou, Your videos are great, regardless of what you do in them. Please don't worry yourself about them being perfect all the time. It's nice to see the real thing. Not every day is perfect in any of our lives!
This is very true Linda, if it was perfect everyday it would be boring right
You made me laugh talking about the time spent sitting in the empty van - guilty as charged. Redoing, in a very, very basic way, my tiny wee van and you’re right about the frustration of waiting for stuff: my carpet lining was due to arrive today, didn’t. Psyched myself up for nothing. Have a good week, both.
So annoying when that happens, hope it comes soon and you can crack on 😀😀
I think I've probably spent 90% of my time sitting there sussing out what I'm going to do 👍
Then 5% building
Then 5% rebuilding cos i cant plan for toffee 🤣
I'm so sorry you've been so stressed. Please take pressure of yourself. You are absolutely right in your priorities. You need to focus on the electrics so that you're safe. I love the innuendo, the cursing and all the rest of it. You produce it, we will watch it. And sod anyone who isn't pleased. Let THEM come and fix the mess. Your work is meticulous. Everything labelled, and easy to find. Good on you!
Aw bless you Andrea, she us much better now the electrics are done and out the way 🙌🙌
Your doing a great job, just take your time and do it right this time. You don’t want to be pulling it all out again in a year or 2’s time and don’t worry about the video. The van is way more important. 👌👌
Haha I know, she so wished she had done it the first time round
@@campervibe I bet she did. At one point I was really panicking. Thought she’d still be there with her head stuck in that cupboard. Vans looking great. It’ll be worth the hassle. 👍👍
It’s real content !! The stress, overcoming problems, not giving up, better than watching 12 people in a house been fake and finding out by a tv judge the baby is the plumbers lol !!! Keep it real and keep it coming Lou !! Great channel
🤣🤣🤣 I don't even know what program that is but I don't want to either 🤣🤣
Always entertaining. And what I loved about this one was how I could relate. Hope you get the heat working in the back. I've done the same. Be prepared for the living space to take a little longer to warm up on those really cold days. But hey, the longer the heater runs at full chat, the more carbon gets burnt off! Keep up the good work.
Cheers Richard, good to know as well 👍
Love the info guys thank you 😊
I love this vid!
@@campervibe Like on my stone age HP too, 19V needed, there are a ton of converters, but not with the right amps or even the right plug...
:-/
@@campervibe Can't you just plug in an extension reel when you're hooked up, to plug in the laptop?
built my van two years ago and only now starting to change all the things that i did wrong especialy the wiring that ii cant even remember what goes were ? I just love the non PC humor and real life problems that you deal with the same way as most of us , lots of swearing, head scratching, tea breaks and then action. you two are a great team and the both of you brighten my day.
We feel your pain mate but yeah totally normal stuff on this channel 😀
It's good that you have been able to test it though so you know wjat changes you want to make, happy rejigging 😀
Just a perfect vlog. My husband says as soon as I enter our van I turn into a whole different person. I think I'm a "Vanzilla" doing our build. THE MOST stressful thing we've done together in 32 years. I now feel so much better that it's not as glossy as you normally make it look.
😆😆 I'd love to see that, definitely not glossy at all 😆🤦♀️
Lou, you sorry too much, the video was great! I am in awe of your persistence, not to mention the ukelele playing 🤗 Just update us when you can, see you (and Em) then!
😀 she amazes me at times with her skills, but she is also too hard on herself
You have done a very professional job. I wouldn't know where to begin. I love everything about Fanny right up to the color scheme You can be proud of what you have accomplished. It's nothing short of brilliant.
Looking at all those cables makes me break out in a cold sweat. Fair play Louise, you are epic !!
Glad you put the video out Lou., like Emily says we don’t want a glossy polished video all the time what we want is true life. Your problems/issues will help other people with the same problem or help them if they’ve had a difficult day or two in their build. Thanks for being honest 👍🏻👍🏻
This is what I thought Claire, I'm glad she put it out as well
its not crap its real, waiting for our van to arrive, but through your video's our build will be more realistic on the time it takes 🙂
🥳🥳 Good to hear and glad the vids can be helpful 👍 😀
A great, reality based video. I think it’s great you show the ‘warts n all’ version of van build electrics. It works, it’s safe, and it meets your needs. Keep the videos coming!
Thanks Paul, you will definitely get the warts n all from us 😆
you are not a robot, and you are just funny as is so stop stressing! Your a human who feels things it's allowed 🤣
We have lost my mum a month ago and our wonderful boy dog 2 days ago and your vids have been such a lovely break from all the pain. Hope this makes you realise how good your vids are. Take care and give yourself a break!
Oh guys we are so sorry, all that loss must be taking its toll, glad we can take your mind off of it even for a short while ❤❤
These are my favourite videos , it shows the real side to self build campervans and what goes into them , I must admit I don't like electrics but I always get a professional to check my stuff over for peace of mind , you have done a really lovely job on the van , if you was my daughter I would be very proud of you
Aw thank you, that's lovely of you to say that
I don’t have a van, don’t think I could ever afford one and definitely know I don’t have the skill set or patience to build one. There must be other reasons I look forward to the videos each week, all of them, not just the ‘pretty’ ones. Keep going! Thank you for sharing the problems and rewards!
Aw thank you, its lovely that you continue to watch us and enjoy them 😊
1.3k comments says it all since scrolling through they are all positive. I have watched all your vlogs, and none disappoint.
Aw thanks Fiona, yeah so many amazing people on here 😀
Before I got my degree and went into computers, I worked as an electrician so I really appreciate that you covered the rewiring and showed how much work it takes and what an absolute pain it can be. The up side is that you will thank yourself every time you have to work on it in the future because instead of that rat's nest you will have well routed cable runs and labels for everything. Well done!
This is true, she is super happy now it's done and that she did do it 😁🙌
My hubby took months of full time hours to get our van done and everything costs more than you think. It’s all worth it in the end. . Be kind and patient with yourself. You are amazing 🤩. 👍🙏🤩
Definitely will be and I know she is happy now she has done it 😁
You are always worth the watch, comedy, innuendos and honesty. We all do things in our own way, not all of us are willing to share that. Do what works for you. As some one with OCD trying to achieve what is in your mind can turn you a bit loopy. Take a step back and say that is fit for purpose. Looking forward to your next adventure once the mods are finnished.
Taking a step back definitely works for sure, with a nice big deep breath or two 😁😁
I think you’ve done amazingly well Lou.
You’re a great team!
Lou don't stress yourself out so much, you're doing a great job. Nothing worse than dealing with than electrical and plumbing. It was interesting to watch, just glad it was you and not me doing it.
So glad it's done and dusted now 🙌
Yes. Absolutely take care of that Fanny and she'll take care of you. Enjoy every single adventure whatever it might be. Be well!
She will indeed, can't wait till she is done
Another brilliant vlog. As someone who can't even wire a plug I find your have a go attitude truly inspiring. You are amazing.
Aw thanks 😊
Don't knock yourself .Your video and content are brill .Love watching them
Nice one, thanks John
Love it 😁
Keep going Lou...don't get down.... we are all behind you and you are giving us to some great inspiration....Keep going Tink
🥳🥳 that is the main thing 😁
@@campervibe Told Jacky Last night you were doing the plug sockets..
Yeah definitely not for me, best I stayed out of her way really on that one 😆
Hey Lou, do not worry about whatever you put in your blogs, you have 40K subscribers, this vlog has had 18,837 views (at time of posting this) and 2.5k thumbs up - that tells me that what you are doing is exactly what "we" love to see. I found it very entertaining and having read all the comments (760) it would appear that it is unanimous amongst us all. We understand that with the amount of work you are doing to Fanny that it is not easy to vlog as well, we all just love whatever content you put out. Keep up the good work please :) :)
Aw Gill, that's super sweet and thank you, all you guys rock and we are so lucky to have you all watching 😁😁
We will never get tired of watching your vlogs they are all spanking. Nice one Lou xx
Too nice Mick 😁
To me this video was very motivational. I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s struggling all the time with the van build. It brings a lot of stress and frustration with it that’s for sure! And I totally get you spending hours and hours doing research on one specific thing and sitting for hours in your van just staring and thinking and rethinking… thank you for keeping it real!
Aw glad it can be a bit of reassurance that you are not alone 😀
I for one appreciate your honesty, your vlogs are always real no gloss but are still entertaining so stop beating yourself up and chill, put the video out when can it'll still be a cracker. Stay safe girls.
Thanks Paul, she is so much more relaxed now that part is done 😁
Louise (said with Emily's voice) you are never boring. You worry too much (but I do get it) 😊❤🇦🇺
So nice to hear that I’m not the only one that sometimes just sits in the van staring at the next job to do but not doing it!
😆😆 you are not alone my friend 🤣
Hello,
Thank you for showing us the real difficulty of changing thing , during van up grading .. ..please keeping Camper Vibe life real .. Bless you both..
We will Michelle thanks 😊
❣️
Oh don't say that Kevin, sorting the floor now, I hope no slicing happens 😆🤦♀️ glad you enjoy them
Talented, and that's why we love to watch. Great skills, loving the yuke too
😀😀😀🥳🥳
Don't keep putting your self down Lou , your doing a great Job at re designing Ems and your Van ready for your great winter travels in your wonderful Fanny ( VAN ) XX
Thanks Sarah, another job ticked off the list 🙌
Lou, you wouldn't be our Hero if we didn't see your struggles as well as your triumphs.
Love the fact that you keep it real, the ups and the downs
Cheers Allan 🙂🙂
Well done fitting the DC solar panel circuit breaker 👏
Thanks
Lou you are a legend. Never give up bless ya. You doing an amazing job 😀
Cheers Will 🙂
Build / rebuild/ tinkering / changing stuff....... Best content ever :-) Really, it is what van life / motorhoming is all about .. And presented as you do it... yup, enjoy it no end
It totally is what it's all about John 😀
Great video Lou, thanks for keep us entertained when you are clearly so busy. A really big attraction with your channel is the realism and the lows as well as the highs. Not that I want you getting stressed or be bickering with Emily, but it is entertaining to see!!
Haha glad you are enjoying them
Lou, don't put yourself down, it is a messy, cranky job. The video doesn't need 'entertainment', the raw real is so much better. Chin up and keep on keeping on :)
Thanks Marie, she is less stressed now the electrics are over
I like the video just as it is. Go on as you do, you doing so well!!
😀😀
