Nice tutorial especially how to grip the sponge ball to properly vanish it!

    Excellent work. Job well done!
    -However-
I find it MUCH better to hold the sponge ball firmly with the second & third fingers. Then withdraw the ball with those fingers while leaving the index finger in the curling hand for just a split second longer. Then withdrawing that index finger clean. I’d show you my version if I could post a video. It’s more powerful visually.
But even better than that vanish is what I call the “donut hole” vanish, or the “OK” vanish. Mentally make the “okay” sign with your left hand, but actually let all your left fingers curl up almost completely closed. Then with the right hand index finger, poke the ball through and around your left thumb and index finger. It’s kinda like poking it through and around a donut. Once the ball is poked around the donut hole, withdraw it with your right thumb back into your right hand. This is the most powerful sponge ball vanishing I have ever seen! It looks like you simply poke the ball into your left hand. I even jab my right index finder into the (empty) left hand a time or two, just to complete the illusion.
With these two powerful vanishes, you’re NOT repeating the same retention vanish every time. You can use two different vanishes throughout your routine.

Go straight for a magic wand -- pencil, coin, whatever ...after the move....wand being under the armpit at the end of move.

OK... you do know that every time you demonstrated the retention vanish the ball was visble in gap between your right hand and thumb, right?

yep! the timing and motion are somewhat more important than the actual palm/sleight execution. i'm always surprised at what i can get away with (or rather, how sloppy my sleight of hand can be) with the right timing and motion. it's all psychology.

@@funmagictricks4583 It is more about misdirection, isn't it. What you are saying, where you are gesturing to make your audience look at the wrong hand, having enough confidence to make them "see" (meaning _perceive)_ what you want them to see - these are all much more imnportant than doing the trick "properly".

@@christopherbedford9897 yep, that's exactly it! now i should say, there's no reason not to make your sleights invisible; but misdirection is just as powerful if not more so.
