The design is something wow, never expected from Suzuki
The 1.0L Boosterjet was always a real charmer. The Fronx will do wonders for MSIL.
Tough times ahead for magnite and kiger
That's completely based on the pricing actually, the brezza was overpriced and if Suzuki does the same once again Magnite and Kiger would easily sell
Nice observation. There is no point striking about magnite and kiger apart from safety. Renault and Nissan are surely going to fail in India if no new car comes from them within a year.

Personally, I feel like the red Fronx while doing off-roading does look like a large SUV. While the Jimny was the showstealer till now, I'm sure that down the line Fronx will also witness increased sales.

Proper upgrade for my baleno best city slicker especially the 6 speed auto
If Maruti Suzuki can price it correctly then for Tata Punch it's "Khatam Tata Goodbye Gaya". Better looks,more comfort,better engine,better after sales,better drive quality except good build quality Fronx ticks all the boxes it can even affect the sales of its own sibling Baleno. Clever move by Maruti Suzuki at the right time.
This is the front end that we wanted for grand vitara

You pointed out absolutely a major flaw of marutis the damn steering don't return to the original position on it's own despite being power assisted infact the mechanical ones return quickly and easily to the central position.

Dear autocar, please review the 1.2 NA fronx too. Not everyone wants a turbo petrol.
Also please update us on the ride quality of Fronx, especially compared to its sibling Brezza.
Is the suspension more stiff than brezza? Are uneven roads & potholes more felt inside the cabin?
How are the NVH levels with this 3 pot engine in the Fronx ?
I drive a diesel alpha 2019 baleno.... It clocked 1.5l kms and recently overhauled suspension and bang it's as good as new and easily achieves 25kmpl on highways if I maintain 80kmph

Indeed a crossover - that between Baleno and Brezza. Maruti didn’t have to do much!

Looks to be an excellent design overall, but pricing is what is going to decide its faith...according to maruti should price it in the range of Kiger/Magnite

Might be the first Maruti car that I liked a bit
Had they named it Frontier instead of Fronx, meaning behind the car name would have been preserved and the name would have been much more classy. Fronx feels too casual to me.

If MSIL Price it correctly, it will take some Tata Share which is currently a big threat to Maruti. If MSIL fails to price it properly then it will cannibalize Baleno and Brezza
Fronx Alpha should be available with rear disc brakes to justify its price

I'm just curious whether the 1.2 being a 4 cylinder is more refined than the 3 cylinder boosterjet. Can anyone respond on that ?
Thank you and as for the refinement of the two engines, we will be doing a back to back hopefully soon, but if you're worried about the boosterjet because its a 3 cylinder you shouldn't be. It's refined and also does not have that typical 3 cylinder loud thrum at idle.

3 start probably, build quality might be ok, but steering is light, while it is good in city it is very risky in highway speeds.

If ignis would have been named fronx, then the name would have sounded appropriate
I hate the chrome line on the grill. Otherwise looks good.
Couple of things didn't liked about the Fronx
1. The name is very unusual
2. Boosterjet engine only kicks out 100hp
3. High loading lip for the boot
4. Soft seats
5. No CVT for 1.2 petrol
Also what is left is the crash test rating. It has to get it done by Global NCAP.
They tuned it till 100hp as brezza and grand vitara 4×4 has 1.5 ltr na of 105 hp so they can't betray them.
Cvt is shit
this is the only maruti car I would ever buy if introduced with 4 or 5 star rating.
I don't like maruti at all because of its safety, but is Maruti Brinks even 4star this is going to be one heck of a car.
my next car is FRONX without a doubt
